35028 Clan Line Atlantic Coast Express 10 August 2019

One of the highlights of the year for me has been seeing Clan Line with the Atlantic Coast Express.
The rain cleared and left a mostly grey, blustery day. Thwarted by a tree down on the line, holding things up for the service train I was in on the single line section of the outward journey meant I missed one planned location. As usual, I can't make up my mind which footage to use, to some shots are repeated with a tripod-mounted and a hand-held camera view.
Surbiton, Tisbury and Andover were my favourite catches, with filming at London Waterloo, Exeter and Salisbury covering other aspects of the tour. Fantastic work by everyone at MNLPS !

Great work , this has got to be one of the cleanest Steamers I have ever seen , and the dedication to it running and cleanness really shows , plus the fireman needs to be congratulated , on keeping a full head of steam !

THE SUNDAY STEAM EXCURSION TRAINS TO AND FROM BOURNEMOUTH STOPPED AT SURBITON ON THE WAY BACK AND RESTARTED WITH VOCIFEROUS EFFECTS CLIMBING THE UPWARDS RISE THERE TOWARDS LONDON WATERLOO !!!!.

Thanks, Michael. Yes, the first speed shot is indeed Surbiton. The station still has the smoke deflectors over the tracks. The footbridge is enclosed, but they are part of the structure itself. At least they get used for real once in a while.
