Deon also knew what Roxana had for Cassis Pedelian. He knew what she had seen and felt in Pedelian and why she had returned to Agriche again.
Roxana was going to spend her short time here and be buried with Agriche without a trace.

Suddenly, Roxana's eyes gleamed faintly looking at Deon’s face, as if she had noticed something interesting.

I know it looks like Dion likes Roxana in a romantic way but it is not. The father fucked up all his kids so bad.When Dion sees Roxana cry in childhood,he thinks they are sort of alike cuz Dion was also very emotional but had to hide it.Over the years he has just become numb to them all.He is seeking emotional comfort in his own twisted way from Roxanna.If Roxanna didn't have her past life's memories,she would have been the same.She knows there is a better way of expressing things and wants to get out of her hell of a family but Dion had no such memories,he doesn't know about anything else,he doesn't know there is a better life outside Agriche.It is mentioned in the novel and also depicted in the manhwa that he has trouble falling asleep and always has dark circles under his eyes most likely due to nightmares.He is possessive towards Roxie but he has no romantic intentions.His story is tragic too but it is not focused on much but at least he survives.He has a more of an open ending.He wanders aimlessly around after Roxana takes her revenge on Agriches.I headcannon him finding a goid purpose in his life and healing from all his trauma.
BUT REGARDING ROXANNA'S ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP,THERE IS ONLY ONE MAN---CASSIS.It is not an open ending in this matter,it is made clear that Roxana and Cassis love each other and are in a relationship.

The dad has more than 10 wives, but Dion being the no 1 and Roxanne no 2 favorite child, even though among the other family members (except Roxanne mother) she looks the most sane and gentle, she must be stronger than what she showed in manhwa
I don't know who to ship Roxie with, but love her style. Curious who she might end up getting married to, since they do inter-marriage. Who will step in and rescue her. Though thinking of it so far. I wonder if Cass is going to show up disguised.

Dion confused me on the first two reads, but on the third read he finally made sense. Dion was brought up in the Agriche traditions, and seems to have lost most of his human emotions, but not all of them. When he killed her brother, her reaction was so stimulating to him that he's had desire to provoke her ever since. Whenever he shows up, he tries to bring Roxanne to her wits end. He throws a beast at her mother, hoping to see Roxanne get upset at the sight of her mother's dead body. He always makes sure to see her as much as possible when he's in the Agriche household. When she's walking down the hallway, he cuts her face with his fingernail, giving her the appearance of "weeping", while also messing up her bandages so that she'll bleed embarassingly. She's a tough girl, so she tries her best to not show him any emotion when face to face. But she's also a sane woman - as soon as he's back, she finds every way she can to avoid him, and schemes a scheme to get him out of the building asap. Dion is obsessed with cornering her and making her give him that stimulation he so desperately wants - anger, weakness, or even delicious tears. To me, it seems that he simply wants to experience emotions but is too fucked up to do it normally.
Dion doesn’t love her sexually he wants her more for the comfort and familiarity she brings him. He saw her cry and attached that to himself bc he could never express his emotions so he uses her as a way to stabilise himself.

She then caressed his cheeks and he held her hand. They then hugged each other and the words were "that night we swore an oath binding each other" or smth like that. I still don't know if this means they slept together. This is so damn confusing

@@elle2675 yeah I myself can't stand awful translations and planned on following the manhwa and waiting for s2 but it was taking too goddamn long and my patience was running thin. Lastly, someone spoiled me about the romance and the "steamy honeymoon arc" so that's when I said "fuck it" and read the whole novel in two sittings. Terrible translations aside, it was so so worth it.
