Arsenal still scare rivals, which is why they breathed a sigh of relief when Arsenal were eliminated from the Champions League.
Additionally, dismissing Mikel Arteta without better alternatives would be very ill-timed. Bringing in an untested manager poses too great a risk, so unless a significantly better alternative is available he shouldn't be sacked.
Certainly, criticism is necessary, and fans and the media must ask probing questions, and pushing for improvements is key.

People expected them to reach the Quarters of the UCL, they didnât fall short of that so that would be a disappointment. Itâs clear this Arsenal team still have things to learn in Europe cause theyâve faced varying quality of teams there and can struggle to impose their game, especially away but itâs not the same compared to the Prem.
They can definitely use more up front though and have more options in attack cause they donât have enough to influence things when theyâre struggling. Theyâve improved a bit there like we saw with Jesus and Trossard in the home game but players like Nketiah, Nelson need upgrading upon.

It's not stupid to say if a better manager becomes available to replace him though because we need someone to win us something and get us over the line. But key word is a "BETTER" manager. If you sack him only to replace with someone like Southgate for example then forget it. đ I'd rather keep Arteta if the replacement is just a downgrade!

@NovelloNine You say all this but the truth is anyone has a price, money talks but would we be willing to cough up? I doubt it. At minimum I'd want someone who's atleast won a champions league or a league title OR both and they are out there. So far arteta has just been a Spanish Brendan Rodgers... Gets us challenging but not got us over finish line and that's the key!

I dont think hes terrible and i agree theres ppl overreacting but he needs to actually learn to properly manage and rotate for champions league and cup games throughout the season.
And with that i mean also getting some players game time in the process(assuming some will be out of form, were dropped or just come back from injuries)
It happened last year with trying kiwior cb instead of holding, its happened this year(THIS YEAR, THIS PARTICULAR PART OF THE SEASON) in trying to integrate vieira/rowe/partey into the squad. He had to improvise because of the timber injury but the performances of the attackers on the left hand side havent been good enough. Its not only about timber and i just want him to utilize the players he has rn because i cant remember the last time martinelli was found through into space in a similar way to the porto goal trossard scored.
And well the fact that he didnt rotate ended up affecting the performances.
Does anyone think that odegaard, saka, and havertz werent going to have bad games and be phyisically unable to perform after pressing 90 mins in that villa game? I dont want this to be an excuse but i think that its part of the decline in form
I want Arteta to stay, but next season he needs to stop the team going into the default setting of slow passing round the back and not brave enough to get the ball quickly. Its not the players ability its mental, they get comfortable under pressure in a slow bulid up and it makes us to predictable.
To beat the best team in the world with the best manager in the world to a premier league and win the club their first UCL you would need Jurgen Klopp. The only manager in the world I could safely say would do a better job than Arteta with this team is Klopp. People will say Guardiola but Guardiola has never managed a team that wasn't the best in their league.
Arteta has made mistakes in the last week but that's because he doesn't trust his squad. We need a left back, we need a goalscorer, we need a midfielder. As I've said before I don't even want a striker, I want a winger or Martinelli to step up because I'm very happy with Havertz and with him at center forward we play our best football but we need a goalscorer and I think we need to either adjust Martinelli's positioning to be closer to goal or sign someone like Rashford who's a winger that's actually a striker

As an arsenal fan, we were considered "over achieving" last season, now add the extra pressure of performing in the CL this season. We are progressing in the right direction on alot of metrics. Squad rotation requires work but we still need the squad to do it. To achieve what we are right now is enough for me to keep Arteta. Anyone calling for him to be sacked is deluded. We are at least 2 seasons ahead of where i think they planned for us to be. I would also say, that a trophy is required next season, need much better runs in league and FA cup to help with squad rotation as well.

Now add the extra pressure of performing in the CL this season. We are progressing in the right direction as shown by us bottling it twice in 4 days and unlike small club Coventry City we're not playing in the FA Cup this weekend..

Yes there has been a lot of overreacting from certain people in the last few days, but the thing I cannot understand is that, as Terry said Man City are indeed a juggernaut, and of course Arteta is obviously aware of that, so what made him and Edu think that spending nearly 70 million on Havertz is a good idea? And how does signing Havertz is going to get Arsenal closer to Man City?

Unai and wenger are top quality and they couldnât fix the club. Arsenals problems before arteta started was, squad, tactics, dressing room, club, staff, toxic things and all that comes with it.
Now our biggest problems are, arteta doesnât rotate enough and doesnât have a clear plan b when games arenât working out.

In my books he has at least two more years. If he after two years hasnât learned to rotate so the players donât get so tired or havenât created a plan b, then I can hear it. But at the moment no. This is his first season without tons of other things having to be fixed. First season he only has to do HIS job.

Look at what he's doing at Villa took them from relegation to a very likely CL spot in 2 seasons spending a fraction of what Arteta has spent and also punk'd Arteta every meeting so far this season.

It took Klopp a few seasons to win a trophy and he would have won more if City werenât as superior. Arteta and Arsenal are chasing down City who are levels above.
Never sack Arteta, no.1 he is an Arsenal man/player/captain. Compare him with Klopp at Liverpool just give him time, we still building. One thing our defense is way better plus plus point. So he is staying

The Arsenal fanbase is one of, if not the most dumbfounded fan base. A majority of these fans fail to realize that 5+ years before Arsenal was a banter club always in the gutter with a toxic player over club culture and mercenary players. In comes Arteta who proved his worth wining the FA cup and then proceeded to clean up the mess inside said club and now has them challenging for the next two years. I always asked what Terry has stated who is better than Arteta at this current moment and most integral which manager will be WILLING to coach Arsenal. (mind you a Manager with a better pedigree)
The reality is to sack a manager because he cannot topple the greatest manager of all time (according to many) and the greatest premier league side ever (according to many) sets a dangerous precedent.
