Giorgio Moroders "I feel love" synthesizer arrangement was way ahead of its time. If you listen to the song now days, It can still give you chills.
how cool to hear her speak German..she easily flows from German to English..The Casablanca years was a huge part of my childhood . Almost all the music I loved and purchased was on the Casablanca label..those were the best years of music...very enjoyable..I miss buying vinyl records..always had great artwork...sometimes you would get a cool foldout poster..nice pics on the innersleeve..the scent of the vinyl when you took the plastic wrapper off...
Donna is such a great artist. The industry gave her that "Disco" label in order to sell
records. Back then female artists had very little control. The Bad Girls album was phenomenal from a creative standpoint
She speaks German. I did not know that. Impressed.
I LOVE THIS!!! I also love that she is speaking German, knowing that she lived in Munich for a few years before heading back to the States.
This is absolutely priceless!!! The idea that we get to see a short behind the scenes look at the producing of the monumental "Live and More" LP. To think that this similar genius took place upon the production of Donna's rocketblasting "Bad Girls" LP a year later!
For those people that thought Donna was just a disco diva, need to look further at the song credits for her songs, for which over half of them she co-wrote.
when real and good music was produced RIP Donna!!
Donna Summer is speaking German very well! I didn't know that! WTF?? Great video and awesome artists we have here... Long live Giorgio and Donna Summer.
That wasn't a mixing session, they were just listening to music. On a typical mixing session in the analog days, (I was there) you had 10 people, jumping around the mixer, all trying to tweak faders at the right split-second. It was a nerve racking situation, exactly the opposite of computer mixes nowadays which get progressively more and more relaxed as the mix is near completion. Digital has changed everything. Plus, we've lost the warm analog tube/tape sound of those days.
Wow, nice interview, LONG LIVE THE QUEEN, been 36 years fan and counting
What a BEAUTIFUL woman she was...
What a great chance to see a "diva" in a real studio session. I've had the chance to compse music & be in a mix down session & it was great to see the for real Donna.
R.I.P Miss Donna Summer
It takes a lot of people to do a lot of the shit theey put together, so between Donna and all her writers and producers and lyricists and all that, they revolutionized the sophistication of Disco!!!
this is really specialfoutage..my fav. dancing queen n fav. producer then!
THAT'S THE LIFE...UP AND DOWN::::::OK THANKS A LOT! VERY NICE
we need more footage of the master GIORGIO MORODER!!!!!
does any one have the video of the ´live and more´concert...it is amaizing....let me know please...
Sadly smoking is a very deadly disease. My grandmother was a smoker on and off most of her life. She stopped smoking in the in the mid 1970s she was diagnosed with emphysema in the1990s and passed in 2005. RIP Donna!

well, of course she spoke german! she was in the german production of Hair and married a german guy.
@rexx1234567 She speaks German. She said recently she misses speaking it because she has no one to speak it with anymore.
legendär
Doesn't she look like Kelly Rowland? Rowland could be a new Donna, but her musical output can't be even compared with Donna's.
DAMN!!! casablancabooktv.....what are you gonna do if you get all the masters??
pls release it!!!!!
giorgio had nothing to do with "last dance", it was bob esty who co-wrote it and produced it
she quit smoking soon after this was shot
@gothicsakura82 she is a very beautiful woman not a man open your eyes
@9693297602 and just where is this taped interview ? Guess what, it doesn't exist, she never said that. Frankly your bringing up this almost 30 year old rumor is the real slap in the face !
Can't believe some of the lame-ass comments here (yeah, I'm talking to you gothic!) Like, go find something else better to do with your time that doesn't involve having your fingers permanently glued your to phone (yeah, the one that's clearly "smarter" than you).
And to the defense of Ms. Summer, what may people don't know is that she is "the disco pioneer" before any of us Americans even knew of disco. And by the way she co-wrote all of her best hits, and not just sang them!
She died of lung cancer today. Maybe smoking had something to do with it?
R.I.P we will miss you
who'se the guy on the left of donna?
is this at village recorders or rusk?
who was her boyfriend?
i can see why there where roumors that she was a he
