You wouldn't believe this VZ 6.0L was the same car that you bought for $7,000 dollars that custom interior is hot.

I did Melbourne to Sydney once in a VE SS. 6.0L V8. Filled up just outside of Melbourne and made it to Sydney on one full tank. Filled up at a Servo in Villawood. Average consumption was something like 8.7L/100km. These days I drive a BA XR8 and they drink a bit more. But both awesome engines. Go the mighty V8.
On the highways their pretty decent. I can do Adelaide to Marla on one tank, which is more than Mel to Syd.
That is impressive! The VZ got into the 11s 😅 but I was still happy with that.

I did Bundaberg to Sydney in March because I was driving back an XR8 I bought (it had 6spdM + 4.11gears, no tune though) and it averaged 10.9-11L/100. The LS engines for what they are do really good highway economy

The R-Spec has gone Canberra to Melbourne and back a few times and it’s always in the 8’s for fuel… which is wild if you compare it to your other cars!

Those camera cars we have in nsw only recently got the signs on the roof. During covid they removed them and the warning signs. I agree every state should be like this. Bloody revenue raisers not life savers.
At least you got signs 🪧 WA is the king of hiding speed cameras.. tiny cameras on tripods in the bushes

Sorry wiper tech blades are shit! They don’t have a long life. You’ve unofficially done a review on them… how long did they last? My guess is less than a year.
Still going strong on my F6.. I haven’t had a bad experience yet.. if they were terrible I wouldn’t say they are the best..
I returned mine $90 for 3 wipers is a rort.

*Less than that. My mates VZ SS sedan got down to 9.7 litres per 1OOKM when we did a Melbourne to Gold Coast trip. That was sitting on 1O4kmh with cruise control on.*

Yup, my cammed manual VF uses less fuel at 110 on the highway than it does at 60 (doesnt like 5th/6th @ 60 - cam surge lol)!! Gets down to 8L/100 on the cruise - 6th gear and the factory 3:45 diff gears - its only happy on the highway!!! (from a fuel use perspective).
...and yes, that bloody final drive is getting thrown away - it needs a harrop 4:11 truetrack - badly!
Did you do Hume hyw or Princes Highway

@@RossReviewsau You actually took the Hume up. Hume runs straight via Albury, Princes is the scenic route along the coast via Orbost and Batemans Bay.
When you leave the potholes and roads that haven't been maintained since 2020, that's when you know you left corrupt Victoria

You claim wipertech wipers are good but the wipers you replaced were fitted only 6 months ago. Perth had very little rain since you fitted the first set. Lasted only 6 months with a small amount of use!😂
My F6 Had them fitted and are still going strong the Ute only just got them
@RossReviewsau Remember during waze video 5 minute mark you removed old VZ wipers. Said they were going in the bin and fitting wipertech wipers. Posted 6 months ago before you changed the tail lights.
