- So...classical pieces are hard. Coming from a more solo jazz guitar familiarity to this Chopin piece, needing to play exactly what sat on the page and play it slowly (I arguably sped through this) is a great and humbling lesson. Delay pedals aren't the worse thing to make a mistake with, space is. If a note was too short or choked out it's embarrassingly apparent. Also, keeping steady and slow 8th notes is its own challenge. I've been learning this piece for a couple weeks now and it's been a great chance to push myself in new areas. I would highly recommend doing so to any guitarist trying to get better and things they didn't know they needed to work on (haha but really). Big thanks to @SkyGuitar for making the arrangement, beautiful job!

Have you ever tried anything super out of your comfort zone? Did it lead to learning any new techniques or having any other insights? In any case, happy playing!
Anytime I'm in a gig situation where reading music is involved, I am out of my comfort zone. I have a hard time being musical while reading and a hard time finding my way back to the chart if I get lost. Good thing no one hires me to play jazz!
Lol you and me both. Musical theater gigs seem to be easier for some reason, maybe because it’s more accompaniment than featured music?
Damn dude, super clean!
Thanks! Twas a fun challenge :)
Awesome !!
Superb! Been following you since Kristen Lynn & The Foxgloves!
Oh wow thank you for the continued support, I really appreciate it!
Fantastic.👌
Thanks Paul!
Really lovely!
Thanks Nic!
Ooh lovely.. i don't think i had ever heard this piece on a guitar..
certainly not an electric one!
No jokey comment this time. Lovely arrangement and playing, thank you.
Thanks! Not my arrangement this time however, I have zero experience making guitar reductions of classical piano pieces so this is from @SkyGuitar!
Niceeee
Thanks!
!!
where can I find tabs or sheet music to this lovely music?
Right here! @skyguitar czcams.com/video/n_3Jb8ekqNQ/video.html
Duuuuuude... That was incredible!
What made you choose this guitar for this piece? More piano-y?
Thanks! Actually it was the 12” radius really helping out on some of those chords! There was really no option for blues-ing my way through the voicings so I went with my most classically radius’d guitar.
@@ElliottKleinguitar which makes Ralph Macchio on a vintage Tele that much more impressive. 😉
@wallyg3 next time Bach or something on the Silver Sky!
