No 10. Nse Ikpe-Etim was born on 21st October 1974 in Lagos State to parents from Akwa Ibom State. However, the actress grew up in several states including Kaduna, Kwara, Plateau, and Lagos states due to the nature of her father’s job as a former CBN official. He moved quite a bit and took his family around with him. The actress has five siblings.
No 9. Not surprising, for her basic education, Nse Ikpe-Etim attended school in these states. She completed her primary school education in Kaduna but attended secondary schools in three different schools, namely, St Louis College and Federal Government College in Plateau State and the Federal Government College, Ilorin, Kwara State.
No 8. Nse Etim bagged a bachelor’s degree in Arts from the University of Calabar, popularly known as UniCal. At the school, the actress studied Theatre Arts. Paradoxically, she had stated in the past that notwithstanding her Arts degree, she had not consciously planned to build a career in the entertainment industry. Nse made the bombshell revelation during an interview with popular OAP, Toolz, telling the host that she had "accidentally" gone into acting. We guess some things are just meant to be, init? Let’s get your perspective in the comment section.
No7. Is it any wonder then that Nse Ikpe-Etim tried several careers before finding her feet, as she confirmed during a 2009 interview she granted to Bella Naija. The actress revealed that she worked several jobs in the past before eventually settling for acting. In her words, “I worked in a radio station, a bank, managed a clothing store amongst other things.”
No 6. Nse’s first professional acting job was in the 1999 soap opera titled Inheritance. That was just after she graduated from the University of Calabar. However, as we revealed in Fact 5, the actress left acting to pursue other endeavors and did not return until nearly a decade after.
No 5. While Nse considers 2008 as the year she fully returned to Nollywood according to a conversation she had with popular media presenter and host, Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu, or Ebuka as he is commonly known, the actress made a brief stop in two Nollywood movies in 2003 titled Emotional Crack and Venom of Justice 2. Following these movies, Nse Ikpe-Etim took another hiatus from acting before reappearing in 2008 in her breakthrough role titled Reloaded opposite Ramsey Nouah.
Which brings us to Fact No 4. Nse Ikpe-Etim fully returned to acting in 2008 with the highly critically acclaimed film “Reloaded”. Her performance in the film earned her a nomination at the 5th Africa Movie Academy Awards in the Best Actress in a leading role category in 2009. She also bagged an award for her role in the 2010 Nigeria Entertainment Awards for performance in the film.
No 3. Nse married her husband, Clifford Sule, on Valentine’s day on 14th February 2013. As she revealed in several interviews, he was her childhood friend but they haven’t always been together. He was married and divorced before they got together again. Clifford Sule is a senior lecturer at the Middlesex University in London, England. Following her marriage, Nse moved to London to be with her husband because she wanted to establish her relationship not just the ceremony as she told Rubbin’ Mind podcast host, Ebuka. She also revealed that the decision to relocate was based on the consideration that her career was more flexible than that of her lecturer husband. Still, it was difficult balancing a Nollywood career while living abroad and she had thought several times of quitting the industry.
No 2. Nse Ikpe-Etim has hosted the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) a record three times. Her first stint as the host of the most prestigious acting award ceremony in Africa was in 2011 alongside Nollywood prolific actor Jim Iyke. That year, the award was the 7th edition of the award ceremony and was held at the Gloryland Cultural Center, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
No 1. Nse Ikpe Etim suffered from Adenomyosis for most of her adult life. Adenomyosis is a medical condition that causes the inner lining of the uterus to break through the muscle wall of the uterus, and which can cause heavy periods as well. It culminated in her having to remove her womb to save her life.

this should have been kept a secret but crying out is also good some mothers who no longer want to conceive give their to their daughters or a surrogate mother to help carry a pregnancy to full term (from her own ovaries and fertilized with her husband 's so yes by GOD"s Grace our enemies never rejoice) having such operation is not the end of being a woman or motherhood
