Hey I loved the review! I just wanted to clarify a few details:
Dim Light- found in multiple palettes; sold individually
Diffused Light- found in many palettes; sold individually
Filtered Light- found in the first unlocked palette and the unlocked ghost palette; not sold individually
Golden Bronze Light- (bronzer) found in the first unlocked palette, unlocked ghost palette, and unlocked mini sculpture palette; not sold individually

I wish Hourglass would do quads with a filtering powder, blush, bronzer and highlighter for different skin tones. I don’t needs the repetition that most of these palettes have

You look so pretty with a natural look. Don't get me wrong, I love color, but your bare look is stunning.
I really like hourglass powders, but I wish a company that emphasizes animal charities and sustainability would do refillable palettes and let you pick what worked for you, even for a premium. If you use all 6 shades, the value here is excellent. Personally I'd only want 2 and use 3, and some palettes are 0-1 so I really appreciate your comment to the effect of "these are all great, but does this color aesthetic work for you.".I also find it interesting that there are so many gaps in the hourglass range for skin depth, color range for anything outside the standard "pretty" blush (aka anything neutral or most colors other than pink/red), or anything in the matte facing category (their shimmer is visible even in things like finishing powders, bronzers, etc.) Luckily the sculpture palette worked nearly perfectly for me aside from the bright pink blush as it has 2 finishing powders, my favorite hourglass highlight, second favorite hourglass blush, and favorite bronzer across all brands, so I won't need something new for a long while, but I'm hoping success of the tiger palette and this sculpt and set will increase their focus on neutral ranges.
My favorite part was using the bronzers and highlighter as eye shadows, the look on eyes was a bit subtle but amazing.
You actually inspired me to try to make a similar look for work tomorrow (but with drugstore products).
Can you tell us what you would use
If I were to buy an Hourglass six pan palette, I rather get the ones that have a little bit of everything - blush, bronzer, highlighter and finishing powder.
These powders always look wonderful, but the names and finishes are overwhelming to me figuring out what to pick. And the shade range for the bronzers all look the depth as well.
Seriously! I probably would’ve ordered by now if it wasn’t for analysis paralysis
I understand the confusion 😅 but the key to HG powders for me & I’ve been using their powders from the start; is to keep in mind each powders function; finishing powders are for all over the face; to set, blur or “finish” makeup; strobe powders are highlighters & blush is self explanatory 😅 hope this helps ! I remember using their first ambient lighting palette daily (I’ve panned that palette multiple times) & I always got so many compliments on my skin & I know it was because of those powders ❤ the bronzers aren’t really that deep honestly but they are beautiful & almost glowy … the trick is trying to find the one that best suits your skin tone or preference !

I’m pretty deep and that palette could work for me at all but I think the blush and glow might because I love a bright undereye look

i don't have a 6 pan palette with any rosy colors at all. I have the Ambient Lighting trio! vol1 2 and 3. I love all the different browns there for playing with different neutral looks that can be cooler or warmer. So getting this rose edit was really lovely! I see online all the bigger palettes are sold out lol so I'm glad to have this beautiful pink now too =) You are right though, I don't think you need the small one if you have that bigger one but it is still really lovely.
Between the ghost, ghost unlocked and butterfly palettes I think I have all the shades except the dark finishing powder. If I were running low I’d for sure restock but I still have plenty! 😂
I absolutely love hourglass I have been collecting them since 2018 so I have a lot and that’s the only thing I really dislike is the repeat things with one new like if you’re gonna just come out with one new make a single I really like the sculpt one but I own all of them except for the bronzer and the darker finishing powder plus it’s $5 more now lol but hourglass is my top pick for finishing powders and their blushes and bronzers are beautiful! I like the trio but I’m sure I own them all.. lol ❤
2 out of 3 from the quad are brand new shades so you don’t have those since no one does, unless you have the new quad.
I really never thought to use them as eye shadows thanks for that idea 😊💜

I refer to these are magic powders.
The Hourglass powders are my favorite. I have the butterfly and the elephant palettes but really wanted to pick up the tiger palette during the Sephora sale but decided to hold off and maybe pick it up in the fall sale.
Your thumbnail the highlighter palette in your hand. That shit was the number# must have in the early 2000s. And a beautiful good formula. And the aesthetic presentation alone was worth a pretty penny. And they refused the price in sales was way more then affordable and was one of the best formulas department stores level products that would do anything just to speak to them on behalf of profecting their wealth. And best believe if anyone could get their hands on the recipe. Best believe they'll take care of them and be forever grateful I'm sure. The aesthic was absolutely gorgeous absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous. And completely well manufactured. Mineral pressed hearts and the best shit in the spring time for a pre summer sun kissed glow. Now this is a problem upcoming in the future possibly in the making about chemical arisol cans. That formula but one product actually could Contour to Bronze, and cheeks, lips and whole no joke of a natural but dramatic eyelook including winged liner. And tightlining waterline. I think I even heard you could break their hearts and make a Fondation with a mosturizer. And it's a gorgeous formula that had to be protected so chemical damage doesn't happen. Down to manufactured productions everything in-between to application. One of the best on the market for allergic reactions and accommodated and research the worst and most mandatory systems including pregnancy

These are a very easy pass for me. I don't like the strobe light highlighters and I don't need 3 finishing powders.
Why aren't these palettes refillable? Wouldn't it be awesome to just choose what you actually wanted in a palette? Also, as I use defused light the most, it would be great to be able to easily replace it with a fresh insert.
I mean, I have HG palettes with varying degrees of wear in the individual pans, I'd love to be able to pop them out, as they look unsightly, and pop in a beautiful fresh pan.
HG could create new designs of empty palettes and we could happily fill it.

Filtered light was not in the tiger palette, transcendent light is the only ambient lighting power in the tiger pallete.
Eternal light and transcendent light are available as singles at Sephora
The strobe formula is absolutely awful on me. The rest I like but the strobe almost put me off the brand altogether 🤔
would so buy the trio if it had a bronzer blush and highlight instead of the finishing powder

I love how into detail your reviews are! Personally, I would have loved if the bronzer was instead a finishing powder, as it could have covered more skintones. All in all I do agree that they're probably re-packaging leftover stock 🙊

You CAN, but it doesn't set makeup for longevity. Finishing powders are to add a blur or brightness to the face.

Hourglass marketing department, "Let's put a bunch of makeup they already have in a new box! Oh, and let's charge $90 for it! They're consumers, they will totally pay for it even if they shouldn't and we'll make millions!" Consumers, "OMG...that one color may be different than what I have, and the packaging! I can't afford $90 for makeup, but that's ok, I deserve it." And repeat every six months.

Hourglass powders oxidize on me for some reason idk …..
So as a person who has a teenager that’s into makeup and skincare .. we follow a creator that specializes in “safe for acne prone skin “ etc and has a master list you can buy to follow and use a guide for makeup and skincare . She claims that Dior blush glow and hourglass blushes and powder are acnegenic and contain poor clogging ingredients. So what do you guys think of this info ??😮
