Ahhh! Mary Wickes. What a talent. In Dennis the Menace and Sister Act (I ran that one as a projectionist 4 AMC Meyerpark 14 movie theater in Houston, TX.) Would have loved to seen how many times Lucy rehearsed this physically demanding scene. Lots of ways to get hurt doing it. But, Lucille Ball was a perfectionist. A side note* I waited on a ballerina that was the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker (Houston Ballet) She was retired and taught the up a coming ballerias. I saw her the last year she did that performance. What a sweet lady. This episdode was soooo hilarious. Thank you! KJ for my laugh this evening. It's been a rough start of the year, but I'm still optomistic!
Michael Taylor Mary Wickes was phenomenal! Yes, Lucy was a perfectionist but she made everything seem like it was accidental. The sign of a true comedic actress! Thank you, Michael! I’m glad you enjoyed watching this video. 🙂

It is amazing to me Lucy didn't break her leg. Actors were at such a disadvantage compared to today with all the modern techniques. I can imagine rehearsal got very physical.
@@iainclark5964 yeah like during the time I love Lucy was being filmed it was so strict. Like belly buttons couldn't be shown, and couldn't say pregnant! Lucy had to get around that saying something like I'm expecting
Lucille Ball is the only one that play in I LOVE LUCY nobody can come close to playing her. Nicole Kidman played her in Being the Ricardos she was nominated for another oscar but lost to Jessica Chastain.
