@Ronnie Civella yea but why do you need the spin if the cue ball isnt gonna touch a wall? Does it change the path of the cue ball after contact with the object ball?

I hear its called "gearing" the ball. It's used to help the ball go in the pocket instead of bobble in the jaws.
