Didn't get a chance to visit Maruyama and visited Nakajima Park instead.
That park is a gem!! And it's not that far from the city.
No. 9 FORMER Hokkaido Government Office. You couldn't actually see it now. It's under prolonged, extensive renovation and the whole building is covered in thick canvas tarps.
There's just an illustration of the building painted on the tarp. Scratch that from your list for the next few years.

It's, because sins bevor the ww 2. Germans where there as captured and be cam later on Citysen of it.
And they also have bier Festival there with recipe from germany.
So as i had saw it, i wud say hokkaido was the one part of japan that got influenced by germans the most.
