    Description:
This is my design of a DIY hand dredge pump (see link below for original inspiration). The motivation behind this is that I wanted to make this more affordable.
    • Złotoryja - złoto -"w...
In the end this design cost me about $75, which is way less than the typical $175 options out there.
    BOM:
For the pump and sluice tube I used 2"x36" pvc pipes. I made them extra long so I can get deep in a river if need be.
For the handle and piston I used 1" diameter pvc pipes
For the hose I used this part:

You can get a good deal on a hose at walmart at this link:
    www.walmart.co...
For the rubber plunger I used the part in the next link, but I ground down the flange on the larger side to match the smaller side.

For the one way valves I used:

Cool contraption but useless video. What are the parts? How does it work? What are you using as check valves?

Do those printed spacers in the sediment tube act as a sluice for continuous work?

They work. I originally got the design idea from a CZcams video from eastern Europe but I can't find it anymore. I think it was taken down. It wasn't in English but he showed it working.
This guy also uses a similar design.

Don't get all those blue discs why did you put them in there

They work as gold traps like a mat or ridge does in a traditional sluice.

We shouldn't call them dredges. Other wise the gov will require permits lol. Technically its not a dredge.

Turn off the music. I would rather hear a voice with instructions.
