Description:
This is my design of a DIY hand dredge pump (see link below for original inspiration). The motivation behind this is that I wanted to make this more affordable.
• Złotoryja - złoto -"w...
In the end this design cost me about $75, which is way less than the typical $175 options out there.
BOM:
For the pump and sluice tube I used 2"x36" pvc pipes. I made them extra long so I can get deep in a river if need be.
For the handle and piston I used 1" diameter pvc pipes
For the hose I used this part:

You can get a good deal on a hose at walmart at this link:

For the rubber plunger I used the part in the next link, but I ground down the flange on the larger side to match the smaller side.

For the one way valves I used:

Nice set up, wicked idea. Well done for thinking outside the box. ❤ it 😊
Cool contraption but useless video. What are the parts? How does it work? What are you using as check valves?
Cool video, thanks for sharing!
Would you be able to tell me what non return valves are you using please .
For the one way flapper valves I used

I put the materials used in the description.
Do those printed spacers in the sediment tube act as a sluice for continuous work?
They work. I originally got the design idea from a CZcams video from eastern Europe but I can't find it anymore. I think it was taken down. It wasn't in English but he showed it working.
This guy also uses a similar design.

Don't get all those blue discs why did you put them in there
They work as gold traps like a mat or ridge does in a traditional sluice.

@@manmade5378 cool thanks do you find a difference with it
We shouldn't call them dredges. Other wise the gov will require permits lol. Technically its not a dredge.
Do you know what we should call them instead?
@@manmade5378 crevice suckers lol
@@manmade5378 rock or gravel syphon..If there is indeed an issue with saying or using dredge as a term.
Turn off the music. I would rather hear a voice with instructions.
