Hindustani classical vocalist Prabhakar Karekar features in this Faces of Raga album. He begins with one of his favourites, a khayal in raga Bhoopali. It was made famous by maestros like Kumar Gandharva and Kesarbai Kerkar, who are Prabhakar Karekar’s inspiration. The vilambit bandish is followed by a bandish in madhyalaya teentala and one in madhyalaya jhaptala. The album concludes with a bhajan dedicated to Sant Kabir.
