Don’t actually be aggressive cleaning your charging port make sure to be gentle because if u do it to aggressively you can damage your charging port and your phone won’t charge
I'm guessing this will only happen if he is using a metal pick, but it shouldn't happen with plastic or wood like a toothpick since plastic and wood is not conductive.
Don’t use any liquid, even IPA. It can get caught underneath the screen and annoy the shit out of you. Learnt that the hard way unfortunately even with a small amount
Used a toothpick and got some wood particles inside the charging port from the tip chipping lol so metal tweezers are better if you don’t know what ur doing

I really wouldn’t go using alcohol in there, as some ports arnt sealed at the back and it’ll run straight into the screen backlight. It’s ok on modern iPhones, but even then you risk it running into the screen if it’s had the screen replaced and the seal isn’t great.

Dont do that one slip on the pins port is toast(bent pins)take it to someone with a microscope they have better visual on seeing what they are doing and a better sucess rate. I have seen repairshops give someone no hope

Isopropyl alcohol doesn’t corrode electronics and it evaporates very fast. It also is great at breaking down dirt and debris. When you take an phone/tablet/computer to a professional to get cleaned that is what they use
Why would you use alcohol if it gets in your charging port it's going to get electrocuted and it's not going to work anymore why would you use wet stuff for a phone and why would you use a toothbrush that you put on your mouth

Don’t try it, don’t put in alcohol, instead use regular tweezers or a metal pin, but make sure you completely turn off the phone before you do it⚠️
