Had regular hour long guitar lessons and practiced regularly since age 13. I am 19 now and still a virgin. Not even had a first kiss. I just keep playing just for the hell of it, for the fun of it, for the music. But as for it being a guarantee to get laid fast - hell no it isn't.

Time travel stories do seem to be based on everybody's wish to go back in time and correct past mistakes. Here the idea is played for fun as the time traveler is a doofus.

Technically isn’t it not how that works? When you go back in time, yes there are two of you but changing any events that might’ve happened, wouldn’t affect your future. This is because when you travel to the past, that past is now your future, and the present you were just in is now your past. This means that you’re trying to change the past by changing the future, which doesn’t make sense. Instead of changing your timeline, you would instead just create an entirely new alternate timeline in which the changes you made unfold. If we’re talking about his plan, that would mean he would go back in time, teach himself guitar, and then go back to his present. However, when he does that, nothing will have changed. He still didn’t get laid that much. Instead, he just created an alternate timeline in which an alternate version of him learned the guitar and got laid a lot more.
