      Thank you. There's always people who first have to fight their own egos before they can find value in another's perspective. I always focus on the great many who do find value in what I present, and for whom it benefits. It is for them I work so hard.

    There's a lot of fast action on youtube, but this tutorial slows down and goes point-by-point. Really appreicate the contrast between the correct and incorrect way of applying the technique. One person commented the video was bit lengthy. Well, maybe, but if you were with a private instructor it wouldn't be any less time. Absolutely necessary for a newbie. Thx.

    I first learned this wrist lock in taekwondo yrs ago but I was never shown(or I forgot) the extra tension on their finger. it's one of my favorites because it's simple, direct and I remember it well. glad to see that extra detail I didn't know before.

    I like your videos and have been subbed for awhile. In my opinion with the high pinky your committing both hands to one arm. Unless you can do it in less than a second they have the opposite arm available for hook, jab, elbow so on. Definitely effective just takes alot of practice for speed and accuracy. Good luck everyone

    • @corejkd
      @corejkd  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for the comment. The actual lock and control are done extremely fast. Unless you're applying it to someone who is drunk or on certain pain (or other) meds, most people recognize the understanding that something will tear very quickly, should they apply counterforce. In sparring, we've applied this functionally against heavier, stronger guys, and in the fight I haven't had one of them try to punch me with the other hand before the pain and threat of tearing made them reconsider. The options are that you simply don't care for pain compliance and simply want to rip some tendons and ligaments off the bone, while the other is that you allow the quickly increasing pain to dissuade the person from any successive violent actions. You can crank down on that lock easily before they employ a strike from the other hand. Part of this is from the heightened sensitivity you get from direct connection to their body through the lock and control. You have an immediate read of what the rest of their body is doing.

    Pinky high lock just help me subdue my 6 and a half foot nephew, it was necessary for this lock because he violently was in my face and had to kick to his groin to have him at my heigjt, tigers mouth to his throat to stop the spitting and maintain some distance as we were in close quarters, lastly I used the pinky lock and the man was mine to hold until law enforcement came.Peace and love and thanks for the handy hand lock!!!

  • @larrymbouche

    This is a very patient girl with extremely limber wrists and ligaments. When I was much younger this was demonstrated to me and I couldn't tap soon enough, as I was in extreme pain rapidly and almost suffered permanent damage before being bent half as much as this young lady. Once learned with some command it is undetectable. Only way out of this hold is to "OFFER THEM MONEY". Haha hahaha hahaha.

    He is not lying, because he is demonstrating this whole movement in slow mode so you can understand but if it was fast the other person will be in a lot of pain and won’t be able to swing punches.

    Nice.. Also I'm thinking Ukemi is an important part of training. The one receiving the technique must absorb the lock as it's a valuable lesson for countering and understanding the direction of energy and how the body moves. nage also can use full intention when applying the lock after an uke has trained for a few years

    really nice handlock, your video is awsome and i don't want to sound as an asshole as i am really appreciative of you sharing this with us, but in the future you may want to make vids like this just a bit shorter, Any adittional info can be added to other videos, i would watch. All i'm saying is that you should focus on technicque, demo, and warnings. Full situations and applications can be explored into secondary videos.
    Anyway, thank you and i will jump to your other videos with wrist locks :D

      I have a feeling you've never fought a skilled wrestler. They do indeed grab wrists. People in a blind rage have also been known to grab wrists, as well as men trying to control women's wrists in an assault. Thanks for your comment.

    • @corejkd
      @corejkd  Před 6 lety +13

      All of our wrists hurt after heavy training in this. All of ours. And I've been kicked in the balls more than you can imagine. It's part of training against resisting partners in sparring. As a strong and capable woman, she has complete free will to stop anytime she wishes and ask for a stand-in. At any time. Women are far stronger than you are appearing to give them credit for. She can think for herself as well.
