Such a great songwriter. He had a way of choosing his songs for albums that worked really well for commercial success, but definitely left some killer tracks out from time to time. I'm glad there was a time and a place to release those b-sides.
My mum used to blast these guys when I was only a tot and it has never left me. Fucking love them now. This song really reminds me of those care free days as a child. This song creates the best vibe. Just such a great sound.
Gina P you just made me feel old....thanks....saw them in 94....3000 people with Garbage State theater down town Detroit...... first show at the Palace of Auborn Hills...secomd show was moved to a smaller venue
I think you highly undervalue music as a means of conveying emotion. You don't need to treat your life like a film to feel something in a song that you can't put words to.
@kevman5 - I was talking about actual music, not mastering methods. However, I know that in their purest forms, that analogue is superior to digital, but in practical terms, digital gives a better sound. It's only when you can afford a top of the line record player, playing a record in perfect shape, that you can get sound better than a CD or other digital format. You said that there are bits taken out of modern music, then "more is not better." So, you like modern mastering methods?
No I don't. I am just aware that because a song draws certain emotions from within you a certain way, that it may not do the same for another. It would be far more effective for this person to tell the other exactly how they feel because no song written by someone else will ever that. What I did once was write a letter for a person to read whilst listening to a particular song. It's more effective when someone is reading your own thoughts and not interpret those of someone you don't even know.
feels perfect... i need an stranger's opinion please... you see, my boyfriend will break up with me sometime this weekend... and to "say goodbye" i'm planning to play this song for him... but i need to know what the song means to another person. would you play it for someone you loved?
Well its not very hard. Its just 3 simple notes for the first part and then one added note for the chorus lol. I think your probably refering to the pedal hes using to get the sound.
yea - coz it's not like billy's not playing a second guitar or anything- check out my SP covers. CLICK ON MY NAME! CLICK ON MY NAME! CLICK ON MY NAME! CLICK ON MY NAME!
I don't think you should treat your life like a film... Your probably better off telling how you feel rather than relying on the hope that he interprets this song the way you want him too. Take it from someone going through a nasty break up at the minute. This is no doubt 3 months too late though...
This is true, but if they both don't see the same thing from the song, then they don't connect on the level that the person thinks they should. It is a little fairy-taleish, thinking you'd have the same musical-emotional temperment as the person you're dating, but if you're a musical person, it's an important thing to consider. This is all my opinion, and I apologize for my earlier comment, I realized how rude that sounded after I'd already hit the Post Comment button.
That bass line is the hearth of this song with ghost notes on drum snare... amazing...
Its the drums....
And D’arcy played it. Yes.
It baffles me that this song was left off both Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie. It's such an awesome tune.

For real…this is my favorite song by smashing pumpkins and maybe my favorite song ever.
This song Is a journey to my youth.
Aeroplane Flies High did pretty good as a b sides compilation.
I love this song. I think it would fit better on Siamese Dream than on MCATIS. It just has that more dreamy, sleepy Siamese Dream vibe
I was here - I really couldn't believe my ears from the opening note...
takes me back to the 90's....listening to this song over and over again. soundtrack of my life :)
Their most underrated song. Really encompassed that Pumpkins essence
pretty much my favorite song in the world
very good sound quality. i love all the pumpkins songs but gems like this and other b-sides are incredible.
Hands down my favorite SP song and this live version is amazing. I miss Jimmy!!!
But Jimmy is alive and well and doing amazing! Don't miss him! Celebrate him!!
Set the Ray to Jerry is an awesome song. Defo, one of my favourite pumpkins songs. :)
THE. THE BEST DRUM TRACK. EVER. SO JAZZY
one of my favorite pumpkins songs, def has layers here
My favorite Pumpkins song and a testament to what this band used to be.
oh dear once upon a time...
this guy wrote just excellent songs.
Never stopped
He never stopped, but nowadays he just writes a large amount of bad songs in between.

Love this song. Love this performance. Love Billy. Nuff said.
Amen bro, the new solos kick ass, it really adds a fantastic new element to an already kick ass song. Long live billy corgan! \m/
The guitar is eerily stimulating. I love it. I wish I knew how to play guitar like that.
Saw them play that year and my life was changed
Great performance, thanks for sharing.🖖🤘
Totally awesome, love this song & this is a great version live- Thanks for uploading! ;)

esta se puede decir oficialmente como la ultima formacion ahora es billy corgan solista
@BayviewFinch While I agree with most of that I will say that today's mastering methods take a bit out of the music. more is not better.
ok!!!

Nope that was D’arcy’s part. Can’t duplicate her. Sorry.
video is off from the sound. but it still sounds awesome!
temazo! mi tema fav del single de 1979
pero me carga esa bajista!
just a clue...it's not upper derby, it's upper darby.
feels perfect...
