You look so beautiful and thanks for the video
Hi, 🙋🏻♂️ thank you for sharing, are you studying languages online? Online colleges? In uk? Maybe? 🙂
Your piece is quite interesting, but it mistakenly states that French is spoken in South American countries, which is not true. About 295K people in French Guiana speak French and also creole. Other than that, you may find people who speak French as a second language, but that's all.
@@templario10 French Guyana speaks French with many people being natives and most knowing how to speak it at least as L2
Exactly, the only South American region where you'll find people speaking French is French Guiana, which is part of France, not an independent country. Other than that, French speakers are scattered in SA.@@FrutoseDeMorango
Mandarin English and Spanish are the most spoken languages in the world

At the end of the day, you have to learn a language that YOU are interested in, not a language that other people expect you to learn.
indeed, learning a language is a very long ane boring process.. u must have interests ...
of course not
Agreed that's why I'm so glad the 2 languages I want to learn most are Spanish and French because they're so useful and I want to learn Portuguese which is top 7 for sure.
I’ve had to take Spanish for multiple years and my Spanish teacher of the past two years has just ruined the Language for me. Personally I’d rather learn French because it is beautiful.
Zoom oh dear. What happened? J’adore la langue française. C’est la langue la plus belle.
Basically this is something subjective, and all depends on your goals :)
Exactly!
Correct. If money is the goal learn "money languages", Japanese, Chinese, Arabic.
If you want to travel to Latin America learn Spainish or Portuguese. Wnat to study overseas learn French or German.
That's what she had been repeating through the video. It all depends on what's important to you. My list is pretty similar to hers. I already speak English, Mandarin and Spanish enough to get by comfortably in any country that uses those languages. Don't speak Portuguese or French but can read in those languages to get by as a tourist. If the opportunity comes up, I'll go for Russian next. It'll probably be more useful (to me) and easier than Arabic, which I think will also come in handy.
And that's why I think the title of this video is clickbaity. I disliked this video.
English (native), Spanish (heritage), French, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and soon to be German when I go to Vienna; also a little Turkish and Korean ☺️

Also, there is a Hispanic country in Africa! It’s called Equatorial Guinea
Edgar Manuel Cambaza that’s the definition of Hispanic though. Hispanic definition: relating to Spain or to Spanish-speaking countries. Spain, Equatorial Guinea and all the Spanish speaking countries in Latin America are Hispanic! They were colonized by Spain once and is influenced by European (Spanish) cultures as well as native African cultures :)
Welcome Latin brothers from africa... Respetos desde colombia...
Black To Grace there is not such a thing as “Spanish culture” if you speak Spanish you are Hispanic, period.
It's not "Hispanic ". It's Spanish speaking. The silly "Latino" , and "Hispanic" labels are for the slavish Latin Americans.

0:57 Russian is actually really important if you want to sing the USSR theme song.
If you feel like travelling alone on the biggest land on Earth you should definitely learn some Russian, otherwise you will unlikely get to know what Russia actually is, cos people don't speak foreign languages here much.
@@justarussian8714 its actually a nice thing. Keep the culture pure, trust me..
Russian is also spoken in a lot of other post communist countries, like in Czechia for example, people back in the day learned Russian
Wow what a reason. To sing. "Theme song".
Kid. Grow up already. Stop talking shit about the language and the ethnos and culture.
I’m learning Spanish bc it’s like the most useful in America next to English. Italian bc it’s similar to Spanish, it’s beautiful, I love the culture of art and music, and I wish to go to Italy. And Japanese bc I’ve been in love with Asian cultures since I was a fetus and I want to study abroad in Japan. Also, you are so pretty like wow.
For me I'm learning Spanish I am in my second year of my language learning journey.!
Oh, it's almost the same for me, lol. Spanish is my L1, I speak English and I'm currently learning Japanese. I took Italian classes some years ago but I had to quit... anyways, I want to try it again in the future because it's actually the language I find the most beautiful.

He empezado estudiar Español en España desde hace dos meses. Great vid🙂
I'm Brazilian, so I speak Portuguese. My first foreign language was English (since 2016), the second was German (2017) and the third was Spanish (2018). Now, I'm working on my German and I wanna learn French and Italian in the next years.
As a linguist who speaks 6 languages fluently and 6 others with varying degrees of difficulty, having lived in 8 countries and visited 35, the top 5 for me for the world are : English, French, Spanish, Cantonese (which I don't speak) and German.
Why Cantonese? Mandarin is most common in China and expat communities abroad. Cantonese is really on commonly used in Hong Kong.
@@geoffk777 No. It's actually the opposite. The majority of the diaspora Chinese (Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, N. America...) speak CANTONESE.
@@carpelinguae9097 Ok, I wasn't aware of that. I do know some expat Chinese who speak Cantonese, but never realize that this was true of the majority. Of course, there is a thriving business in HK movies abroad, so that might have clued me in. Even so, Mandarin is what usually gets taught in schools. Cantonese is also more difficult to learn, as it has even more tones than Mandarin.
@@carpelinguae9097 Almost all Cantonese speakers can speak mandarin, no matter the Cantonese speakers in HK, Malaysia or the US. But not the other way around. Cantonese is more like a regional dialect. It’s like you start learning Pennsylvania Dutch before English. Hahaha. Not intelligent.
@@MrSiomys Cantonese is a world language, don't jealous of Cantonese. LOL
My native language is English and I’m currently learning Spanish and Mandarin. I eventually plan to learn Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, German, French, and Russian. I’m so inspired by your videos! 😍

Vitor santos I don’t know... I actually don’t, but I can give you a website that I learn off of. It’s called chineseforus. Man french it's so hard to learn even though i speak spanish
I love the idea of learning the languages you are interested in, you like the language, culture, etc. It is soooo obvious but so many people are learning languages they won't be able to use, don't even like (sometimes even hate it) and then they wonder why they are not seeing any progress.
I am Czech and I speak only English (on a higher level). I had Spanish and Italian at school but unfortunately I almost forgot everything I have learned because I haven't been using the languages for years. I would really love to start again :) And maybe one day I will also learn French and German.
I speak English and Spanish fluently, I basically grew up bilingual. I took french and Arabic in school but the classes were boring. So I started self studying Korean and Portuguese and I can have conversations in both. My 5th language will be Italian and 6th maybe Tagalog(Filipino). There's just so many languages I would love to learn like: Hindi, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Greek, German etc.
My story is basically the same as yours, I grew up billingual technically i’m still growing up cuz i’m only 15 years old, i was born in Brazil which means my native language is Portuguese but i started learning English when I had 9 years, so nowadays i’m fluent in english, i’m capable of having an conversation with natives and people who knows english, and i’m currently self-learning Spanish ❤️❤️

I want to learn as many latin based languages as I can, including Japanese. I'm puerto rican so spanish is a priority, but I do find portuguese and french difficult compared to italian due to the pronounciation of things. I grew up hearing spanish all my life so how things are pronounced in portuguese and french I just find to be a little difficult. But I've always found language learning exciting :)
Japanese is definitely not Latin-based. It's not even based on Chinese, although they got some vocabulary and written characters from there. Grammatically, it's similar to Korean, but it's really in a universe of its own. I definitely don't want to discourage you from studying it. But don't expect to carry over your knowledge of other languages to Japanese, the way that French carries over to Italian.
