Denton Homes Eaglets reunited back to area after deadly storm takes out the nest on May 21, 2024

- The storms across Iowa on May 21st, 2024 took out the nest of a family of Majestics that we monitor at Denton Homes. This video captures the full story of what transpired from the time the nest fell to when the eaglets were re-introduced to the temporary nest in less than 24 hours. This was truly a remarkable outcome after the scary event that happened due to the storm.
We are thankful for all of the volunteers who helped in this effort of bringing the Eagles back safely together.

This nest was my very first live nest, when I began watching (and continue to watch, well... lurk😂) years ago, so it really holds a special meaning in my heart💙. So many triumphs, tragedies, giggles and tears have been had here for me.

OMG!! ...in tears when I saw the nest blown out of the tree... BUT by the hands of God, there is still 3 alive Majestic eaglets..This nest is amazing & beautiful..All the comforts of a Denton Home..TY home building Heroes and the heroes @ SOAR.. I saw the nest go down and I had to walk away from the screen, it took me more than an hour to return to the site and behold in the aftermath the new nest was being constructed, I watched thru the night and watched a mouse come in and inspect your handy construction work, I absolutely praise all that was done and the speed in which the new nest was constructed and as report continued to come in that the 3 eaglets were ok my heart filled with joy, thank you,

Thank you Denton Homes Iowa for all you do and tried to do for the eaglets and the Majestic Family, you have to be hurting yourselves at present who wouldn't be but, you truly are amazing. You defintitely went above and beyond and did your utmost in an extremely short amount of time, I do not believe anyone has attempted to do what you achieved in that timeframe before in the middle of the season. You and your volunteers should be proud of yourselves for giving it your best shot, everything else is out of your control. The eaglets will hopefully thrive in rehab and will take their turn in the skies once ready. Mom and Dad will move on and build back fingers crossed not too many trees away. I salute you for the love of these raptors and the continuing success for this Family. God Bless

Thank You Denton’s! For the opportunity to believe! That humans can do something good on this planet. I have never seen anything like this before . In all the different nests & the many years I have watched eaglets. The effort your family made and the team you put together saved the triplets life’s . I’m sure of that ! I did so hope the new nest would work for Mom, Dad & the kids ! I am Deeply grateful that the trio will have a chance to live now . I pray one day they soar back home to you & all of us ! ❤️🦅🦅🦅❤️

His is a real nest! Using the old nest materials and newer branches told the nest in place is wise because we know the eagles chose most of those branches❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Now this is how humans can help eagles and animals when necessary.❤️‼️

At @ 3:46 on Thursday 5/24, the eagles were removed from the nest and taken to SOAR because parents were not making any efforts to visit the new nest. SOAR has them and will keep them until fledging. You can view the rescue on Denton Homes cam today. The new nest will remain and no plans to remove it.

It has to be higher than that it needs to go back up in the tree. You could’ve had a crane help you put it up there. The Eagles are not gonna go down that low predators can get in there.

Thanks for the Short video ,mostly on Temp. nest reconstruction. Pre fledge size--being help by people shows the size of even Eaglets can obtain. Nomado3650--a dead cetainty Parents will take care of their e's and guide them thru fledging and as Young Eagle adults until they learn to hunt on their own. Short V but very moving given the very positive Outcome of this Nest mishap for these 3 Eaglets. Thanks for posting.
