Nice one guys! We stopped in The Bay of Islands on that cruise we went on a few years back. Would have been nice to spend more than a few hours there. We wanted to go to the Treaty Grounds but ended up checking out some caves that had glow worms. Can’t remember the name? Dinner looked great! These days my fancy restaurant experiences are pretty much lived through your videos 🤣
Hahaha guys these fancy dinners might needa stop soon when we go on our big trip but 😁 but then again the street food is where it's at in Asia anyway. I guess that's the bad thing about cruises sometimes you're in a bit of a rush from spot to spot 🤔 do really enjoy being able to take your time in a place

My son emigrated from the UK to NZ and lived near Opua, sadly work moved them further South to Hamilton, but we always go back to the Bay of Islands for a few days when we visit.

Gen you should totally try parasailing if you're scared of heights. You feel pretty safe and harnessed plus everything is moving kinda controlled and slowly. You might even enjoy it 😁 Maori culture is awesome especially being able to see the songs and stories live in person. Finally tick the Duke off of the bucket list 👌

We know very little about New Zealand, but have wantd to go for a long time (starting from LOTR, typical!) & watching things like this really is great because it shows me how much more there is than the amazing views and nature. Would love to learn more about these cultures!

😂 bro parasailing is the perfect way to start getting used to heights. I did tree adventures to overcome my fear of heights years ago. No that land use to be my ancestors when he was the Chief before the treaty was signed and before the Europeans came to New Zealand when he died his Nephew took his name and took over and became warchief of the area and he signed the treaty after being threatened with the extermination of his people and he was imprisoned. Then Tamati Wakanene negotiated to have him released. Causes the governor thought he was colluding with Hone Heke and Kawiti in the Northern land wars with the British.

Nice one guys! We stopped in The Bay of Islands on that cruise we went on a few years back. Would have been nice to spend more than a few hours there. We wanted to go to the Treaty Grounds but ended up checking out some caves that had glow worms. Can’t remember the name?

My son emigrated from the UK to NZ and lived near Opua, sadly work moved them further South to Hamilton, but we always go back to the Bay of Islands for a few days when we visit.
Always love a classic margherita too - the basil makes a big difference
Basil is probably my favorite herb. In thai cooking it really makes the dishes pop too. N such a nice flavor when you eat it 🌿❤

Gen you should totally try parasailing if you're scared of heights. You feel pretty safe and harnessed plus everything is moving kinda controlled and slowly. You might even enjoy it 😁 Maori culture is awesome especially being able to see the songs and stories live in person. Finally tick the Duke off of the bucket list 👌

Yo Vic! I had a bit of a fear of heights as a kid so never tried it. Over the years my fears have subsided so jumping outta planes and now parasailing is all good 😁❤
We know very little about New Zealand, but have wantd to go for a long time (starting from LOTR, typical!) & watching things like this really is great because it shows me how much more there is than the amazing views and nature. Would love to learn more about these cultures!

😂 bro parasailing is the perfect way to start getting used to heights. I did tree adventures to overcome my fear of heights years ago. Definitely worked after that yen and I even jumped out of a plane hahaha. Being a chief for an hour was the best 😂 hmmmm did have a lot of Italian food this episode 🤤😍

No that land use to be my ancestors when he was the Chief before the treaty was signed and before the Europeans came to New Zealand when he died his Nephew took his name and took over and became warchief of the area and he signed the treaty after being threatened with the extermination of his people and he was imprisoned. Then Tamati Wakanene negotiated to have him released. Causes the governor thought he was colluding with Hone Heke and Kawiti in the Northern land wars with the British.

Again thanks for the videos. Just finished watching the Rarotonga series. After Rarotonga we are heading to Auckland for 7 days (in November). Perhaps in the future you could do a video on the best day trips from Auckland, Bay of Islands may be a bit far. We'll be coming back for a longer trip sometime in the future.
