    Thank you for such a comprehensive yet concise treatment of binary form. I am also grateful that you introduced me to the work of Ignatius Sancho. Not only is his Minuet No. 4 in F Major a good example of binary form; but as a novice piano player, I found the rhythm as complex and challenging as the melody is charming.

    I don't understand why the Beach example is not balanced. By my understanding, they both are PACs in the key of D minor... Is it because the Vs are not exactly the same? Please help!

      Sure, it’s not that the cadences aren’t the same. The musical ideas don’t “rhyme” with each other, as in they aren’t the same musical idea. Hope this helps.

    Does anyone know what order I should watch Professor's videos in? I have an intermediate understanding of music theory and was unsure whether I should watch the videos from oldest to newest or follow the playlist and go from I ---> IV
