As of 2023 Brazil is still poor and undeveloped. Its people lack the discipline to acquire a proper education, limiting its workforce. It has one of the highest crime rates in the world, roughly 1 in 5 murders in the world happen in Brazil. There are sanitation problems in the rural areas. They lost 1-7 against Germany in the 2014 World Cup, an embarrassing defeat.
Latin America is good, but not Brazil. Chile and Argentina are better, richer, and more respected.

I am American and have visited Brazil several times. It’s one of the best countries I’ve ever been to. Brazilians are very friendly and welcoming - the food is out of this world. The music is also spectacular. Cheers
