  • How to Prepare sole from Flip Flops for crochet slippers is was one of the most common concerns in making those slippers as many of you asked me regarding the source of the sole. So in this step by step tutorial on how to make the base sole, there are at least 3 ways in which you can make this foundation stitches. 2 of them are through the 2 different needles and the 3rd one is through crochet hooks. After this I hope you can make your crochet slipper any way your hand guides you to. Hope this is helpful. I hope you enjoy the video. ❤️
So here's the materials I used:
    (India)
    1. Handle with 3 needles: amzn.to/3kHgLzf
    2. Only thread (Black, 39 gms) amzn.to/3mLRhU3
    (Other Countries)
    1. Handle with 3 needles: amzn.to/3kCD5u5
    2. Handle with 6 needle + 50 m sewing thread (recommended) amzn.to/3gNu3JF
    3. Only the thread ( Black 328 yards) amzn.to/3kCJdT3

I wish I would have seen this earlier. I made slippers for my grandsons’
Fiancés and put a leather like some on the bottom. They would have looked much nicer using this technique. Thank you!

is there a good way to fill in the holes left in the soles from where the flip flop straps were?

Not that I know of. But once we start wearing, the feet covers it. So it's not visible.

I saw somebody on a Pinterest vid cut the knobs off the straps and glue them back in. You could probably use any kind of cork/foam product with similar character/material/flexibility as the shoe foam, and a very flexible shoe glue (Barge cement, E6000 etc). Hot glue might work, but the glue should be of a flexible kind. Otherwise the rigidity will cause it to break off the foam while walking.
