Saw Lulu last night at he Mayflower Theatre, Southampton! She was fabulous, bubbly and her voice amazing. Lovely to see and hear her sister as her backing singer, who also has a fabulous voice!
Lulu has had so much surgery, a good haircut and makeup work wonders. But, I loved Lulu then and still do. ❤️ She was fabulous then and she still is. I remember when she was a girl and her manager was a good woman who looked after her. Great days.❤️❤️❤️

I knew one of the second generation dancers on her show. He was not keen on the way some of the young dancers were treated! Strangely enough Rolf Harris was very kind to backing dancers.

So what!!! Shes has lived in the world all over, meeting, greeting people and cultures everywhere. Surely that kinda changes you. The fact is that you cannot survive in international show business with a Scottish accent, because nobody would understand you, it’s that simple. I’m a Scot living on the continent and I had to upgrade the level of my spoken English in order to be understood by my foreign colleagues and customers, so that they know what I’m talking about. The same applies to people from Wales e.g. Tom Jones. Also, Arnold Schwarzenegger had to take an accent-removal course in order to become an actor who was understood internationally. Having a strong accent doesn’t work well in international affairs. A colleague of mine, also from Scotland, but from a different part, had a struggle making himself understood on the continent, as he was less successful than I was in toning down his accent.
