Not only in Fiji Also, Trinidad also Guyana. Yes we had a hot history but guess what we’re testing positive we are very successful in Trinidad and also in Guyana we are very educated very intelligent people we on a lot of the property we own a lot of the businesses we are well educated, etc..

Our grimit parents were treated as slaves to the British colonists. Despite the hardships Indians in fiji prosperd and helped build this nation to what it is today with bood sweat and tears.Our grandparents used to tell us of their adventure and how they were treated by the colonial masters. tears . To this day their legacy is embedded within us. In addition the British took the best out of fiji... sugar, gold etc. What's left at so called emperor gold mine is dust. Bravo to the colonizers 😮

The British left in 1970, 1920. Girmit ended in the book only, reality is that it never finished as the British made a law still enforced till today that Indians cannot own Agricultural land! Add to that the never ending coups have chased majority of Indians overseas 😔

Don't you know about the Coolie dispora. Indians not only came to Fiji but went to The Carribean and South Africa for sugar cane farming as Girmitiyas.
