  • When you hunt with a bow you need to know exactly how far your target is. The slightest miscalculation can cause devastating results. This is why archery hunters depend on laser range finders. They are small, compact and very accurate in letting you know how far something is. If I had to chose only one item to put in my daypack, it would be my range finder.
Today, I talk about the Vortex Viper HD 3000 Rangefinder. Let me tell you right now that this thing is awesome. If you are looking for a rangefinder or need to upgrade from a previous model then look no further, this is what you need. Check out my affiliate links below to purchase yours today. Enjoy the video.

The last 4 Vortex scopes I had, had to go in for warranty. Glad it's working for someone.

I don't understand why my cheap 5 year old Chinese $120 range finder which is still effective at at 1500 yards has the option to change the reticle style from a circle, to a crosshair or a single dot, yet this sucker, about 6 time the cost, provides no option and comes with a fixed circle. Scope reticles have a cross, why put a circle in a range finder? I was about to purchase this until I saw there was no reticle option and I would be stuck with a circle. It's the minor details which are missed by designers which disappoints me.
