Woodturning | Ash Butterfly Flower Platter | String Pull | GCSE Art Project 2

This is the second platter I have made towards my GCSE Project. The theme is fantastic and strange and I have always found butterflies to be fantastic and to combine them with a flower would be a strange thing to do.
The platter is made from a piece of Ash which I shaped then created a canvas to work on in the middle. I sprayed this with lacquer before using iridescent paints and string pulling technique to create the design.

I like your colour choices as they compliment each other without overwhelming the background. The contrast of the yellow wood and black also works well. You don't disappoint.
