These "survive X rings" challenges are actually awful and really time consuming for solo players of lower/average skill. Just surviving with 2 randoms until the first ring finally closes is quite difficult (If you don't die from a hot drop, you die during rotation, or when your randoms aggro on another team, ...). I just resorted to playing ranked as there you usually get a bit more conservative playstyle from your randoms since positioning counts, but I'm not surprised there are people no-fill ratting in pubs to speed things up. Still, when you see it's just 2 squads left, be nice, do everyone a favor and leave/hop off the map or into the ring. That one ring closure isn't worth dragging everybody else's time out.
