Why did everyone saying that he didn't win because he chose the wrong song? Singing isn't only about high note to impress listeners. From what I saw, the audience are more impressed by Jinho here compared to his competitor.
same feeling. I think this song was a good choice. He showcased different vocal colors and techniques here, and this song is touching too. The votes showed that the audience liked it, or there should be larger gap. is classic and a killing weapon, using high notes to fight against his competitor may not reach a better results I guess? 5 votes is really a small gap, it's all about personal taste and feeling.
@@honeysyrup755 as a fan myself (I'm a Universe), I already get used to Jinho's high note and he already showcased that skill in the 1st round though, so It's refreshing to hear his singing here.
Because you couldn't really "show off" with this song. But only lose to 5 score mean he did really well. I think it's the best to lose in 2nd round when the audiences are all interested and curious in him and probably guilty for not making him pass 2nd round. If he made it to 3rd round, I don't know but the program's viewers may be different and do not as hyped as before

I agree. Also, the emotions are just overflowing. Yeah, it's nice being able to hit high notes and show off, but it turns bland if there's no appropriate interpretation. Listening to this I feel my heart tightening even if I'm not sad!
in my opinion, he didn't choose the wrong song. He just wanted to show that he good in both, powerful songs and also soft songs. And he can do both, it shows. he didn't lose at all

Ppl say he couldve chosen better songs but hello? Vocal control in this one is crazy? High note isnt everything in vocal technique. If he keep choosing high notes he is not versatile enough and now he proved himself that he can do lower ranges and high notes and is very versatile. Esp in the second verse? Sis..the judge went “ooF” this song requires so many range.. the panel judge even complimented on how he can switch from being a fantastic rock singer to a soft rock ballad type song it’s almost intimidating

일반적인 복면가왕회차였으면 아이돌중에 보컬 아닌 멤버들도 나오고 개그맨, 배우, 운동선수 등등 가수 아닌 사람들도 나와서 아무리 운이안좋아서 못가도 최소 도전자까지는 충분히 갈 실력인데 하필 메인보컬특집에 2라운드에서 하필 클림트를 만나서 너무 아깝다… 겨우 5표차에다가 연예인 판정단 평가 들어보니까 극극극찬을 하던데 제발제발 꼭꼭 재도전했으면…ㅠㅠㅠ

He's such an ernest singer.. He doesn't try to "show off" or pull an eye catching performance/vocal trick, no twist, nothing to distract you from his beautiful voice. He just goes on stage and sings his heart out. That's pure talent and it's so beautiful to see
Hyukoh -TOMBOY, we all know Hyukoh songs are difficult to sing, Ohyuk have that unique tone that makes it difficult for other artist to cover his songs. I think he give justice to the song and should have won this round.

Jinho slays as usual BUT in my opinion, Jinho's vocal showcase on MAGAZINE HO even MUCH STRONGER than this performance. I lowkey think that: maybe he wanted to do the best but couldn't bcs Pentagon is so busy recently, or, he purposedly did this so he could leave the show earlier to catch up with Japan tour.

For those who didn't saw the episode:
He lost in the second round to the girl who actually became the queen later, but he lost by ONLY 5 points. Even the people in the panel wanted to protest against voting because they thought both of them were incredible and probably the best in the idol special (with all respect to other contestants, they were also great and are super talented of course). They were even surprised that people with voices like that are idols. If Jinho sang some power song from the musical just like his opponent he could have win but I feel like it was a strategy by Cube because at that time Pentagon had promotions in Japan so they couldn't afford Jinho being a king and coming back and forth to film Masked Singer XD. I hope they invite Jinho some time later so he can blow people away once more.

Pulling off Hyukoh songs in your own vocal style will always impress me. Its very easy to get lost in the band's style because it's so distinct (as well as Oh Hyuk's voice). This will always be one of my favourite TOMBOY covers, Jinho is just that amazing at what he does.

@@pentagon9babies174 actually, it can. A few kings (ex. Kyuhyun and Kang Seungyoon) was lost years ago, but they came back and took the throne. In Kyuhyun's case, he got the title after he did his military service, so i hope Jinho will do the same.
