My AR16 speakers had a much better crossover. I just did a cap upgrade on them. I bought them 47 years ago and I still use them.

Hey I am trying to rebuild some AR2ax speakers that I have had lingering around. Which pots were those? I've scrounged around and found 8ohm pots but have found them in varying RMS. Thanks. Appreciate the video.

Sorry late responese. Found mine on ebay as replacement pots by searching Acoustic Research AR2ax . I was able to actually clean the original pots out and get them working fine but the customer wanted new pots.

Do you know or have recorded the inside dimensions of the box? Specifically, the distance from the inside top to the dado cut at approx. midway?

These speakers belong to a customer so they were gone sokn as I finished them.

Thank you from Stefano (Italy) Ciao, IowAudio Revisione . Puoi aiutarmi .... Grazie da Stefano (Italia)

Tip of the day try insulating that enclosure with just 2 inches of fiber glass , just on the back of the speaker doing this will improve the sound of the speaker stuffing it with all that fiberglass is a big mistake AR should know that , it is a sealed enclosure for acoustic enclosure , AR was copying EV in some of there early speakers only on there cheaper speakers like this AR2ax , I am the speaker doctor of Canada .

these are nothing like the original stuff from the 60's There would be a stapled mfg tag on the back these are much newer, towards the end of AR

I agree.... a bit fiddly with music and a lot of finger tapping of parts which tends to annoy me, but overall a good video.
