Honestly, Pearl has some of the best character development of the series imo, that one animation during the instrumental pretty much sums up how much she’s gone through to be who she is now!
I like the idea that once they all flew up into the air nobody in the audience could hear anything because the guitar wasn't plugged into anything and nobody had a microphone

This is one of my favorite examples of the main characters' theme instruments blending together.
Greg's instrument is the guitar. Pearl's is the piano. Amethyst's is the drums. Steven switches between guitars, ukulele, and chiptunes.
When Steg sings, we have guitars. When Pearl gets a verse, the piano comes in. There's no drums in this song until Amethyst fuses with Pearl to make Opal.

Steg and Opal’s voices are so good together. This was great
Their voice actors are actually in a band together! It's called The Both
fun fact: the voice actors in this song were actually part of a band, called The Both. Opal's (the gem) VA, Aimee Mann, has been part of the show since season 1, and it's safe to assume Steg's (the human), Tedd Leo, was stunt cast specifically for this song.
This is my 3rd favorite song from the Steven Universe movie.

My first thought when I saw steg was "why does he look like a jojo character? 🤣"
What's really cool about this song is that while they were thinking of who could duet with Opal, Opal's voice actor called up her old friend, and old band member, to see if he'd like to try out. He then became the voice of Steg. If I remember correctly, they both missed preforming together, so they enjoyed doing this song much more.
I highly recommend you watch steven universe. It's a really go show with lot's of morals. It really helped me grow as a person
the songs are absolutely legendary if he hasn’t figured it out yet, and there are certain scenes that hit so hard that i get shivers. some of them feel so real in a way too. i also highly recommend watching it

I honestly think its the most underrated song from steven universe the movie
IKR! I literally sit and jam to the song all the time and I hate that it doesn't get enough recognition. I know not everyone cares about Sadie, but like I don't care the song is still a banger in my opinion.
Definitely underrated, it gets overshadowed but like honestly it’s got the angry repressed retail worker vibes that are 💯💯
@@IlianaRose11 I’ve never even worked in retail but then school memories hit different when you gotta stay up til 1 am doing school work then wake back up at 5 and repeat until the weekend and be even more sleep deprived because sleep is everything but the thrill coffee gives you is everything so yeah the song hit so different when I got into Steven Universe and finally watched the movie
So this isn't a spoiler, I don't know if you noticed, but each character has an instrument associated with them; Amethyst has drums, Garnet has a bass guitar, Steven uses chiptune, Rose has violins... and Pearl has piano.
You might've noticed when the focus shifted to Pearl in the song, it switched inexplicably from Steg's double neck guitar to piano instrumentals.
Whenever u do get around to watching this, u will c that transformation was a reboot. She was set back to her factory setting n that song brought back her memories. And when she lifts him up, (he had looked down n doubted) she has been lifting him up his whole life... Helping him to become who he is, n he helped her to do the same🙏 very heart warming moment.
I like how the first thing he reacts to the second his reaction officially starts is Steg's hair

After seeing your reaction it's really cool to see your thoughts on how the songs were able to elicit the feelings they did and as well how complex music can be and almost the science of the song (coming from someone who used to think people put all the effort into the lyrics then put it to a catchy or pretty beat)
