Salute sir absolutely agree with you actually this Govt it’s administrative machinery never ever gave prime value to our several centuries existing historical arts and artifacts it’s cultural values and norms exiting around our great cities like Lalitpur, Kantipur, Bhaktapur etc. obviously which are the main assets to introduce us and our nation in international arena today what is Nepal ? Hence in the name of urban development and modernization while coming at this stage majority of todays cities look like jungle of concrete which is very unfortunate for us !
However last but one after long waiting finally our county has got one the cream person in this field, a great scholar an avid professional architecture in Nepal who is been involved massively for several years in order to restore all these invaluable things. Which we are being able to see his restored exemplary works Namuna Ghar is one brilliant example of many of his such great restoration projects ! Honestly to say we must be now optimistic thru the presence of such great scholar /architecture of Nepal Rabindra sir He is a first silver line seen on the sky of our existing Newari arts artifacts and historical building construction, engineering and design restoration also been seen in his new creations incorporating with of those traditional engineering with his modern architect hence as a building his end product is seen the best one durable, appreciative to the foreigners and lucrative for every owner of such houses and buildings

One thing i have noticed in Basantapur is that newly renovated or restored monuments arent properly done in its original form.
Tudals, which are inseperable part of our architecture are missing in most of the temples in the Kathmandu durbar Square.
I differ to believe they were like that since the beginning.
Concerned authorities should look into this.
Plus, Hanumandhoka wing is still not reconstructed even almost after a decade of the earthquake.
Bhaktapur and Patan have done remarkable job in restoring the damaged monuments but i wonder why Kathmandu is lacking behind!
Ktm Metro has done very little. Even the 9 talle durbar and Basantapur palace were built by Chinese and American aid. It's a shame. The locals of Ktm hadn't been as serious as that of Patan and Bhaktapur until recently where young children have learnt importance of their culture and heritage from social media

It's really a shame when monuments arent restored properly and it's valuable stolen to the west.

I'm surprised by Nepali's inability to understand the value of their own past. This gentleman and his work deserves far, far more recognition, respect and support. For God's sake, stop talking about politics all the time and pay attention to people like Rabindra Puri ji. He's a stellar example of how you can remain a Nepali, gain knowledge by pursuing your passion and enhance your self identity as an individual and as a community. Foolish Nepalis, WAKE UP!!!

True.. I'm from Bhaktapur with mamaghar and other relative's houses at Ktm core area. Those families are totally careless about their culture and heritage. They have ugly concrete houses. No cousins want to stay in their locality and in the country. Everyone plans to migrate abroad and sell or rent out their ugly concrete houses situated in historic area. They don't celebrate jatras as we do in Bhaktapur. Vibe nai audaina Mama ghar tira jatra herna jada. Bhaktapur ma bhabya , crazyness, energy ra next level pride snga jatra haru manako hunxa.. tara tyeha ta khallo hunxa.. baja bajaune group haru chai maja garlan tara normal herne public haru khasai enthusiastic or involved dekhdainan. Next worrying thing is that after Ktm metro implemented Nepal Bhasa and Newar history and culture classes in their local curriculum, we've seen that most of the Newar students are dumb in their own language and traditions. Bahuns who don't follow any of those traditions and cultures and don't speak Nepal bhasa have mostly been toppers in these courses while local Newar students are the ones who fails the most which is embarrassing and shows how careless and unaware they and their families are towards their own identity
