    Just for the ease of a USB-C charging, I am going with Sofirn all the way. Sofirn is my goto for cheap quality lights. Surefire is my pure tactical, rugged, reliable lights and that is what all of my pistols and rifles wear.

    Sofirn should have just retained the bulb of the old SP35. It has the best balance of throw and flood.

    The convoy puts u in a situation to fumble under stress. The more options the more chances u will fumble. SP35T is useable out of the box which is best.

      Very true, KISS is key. Though in a silver lining, if you put the Convoy in mode group 12, it'll be all 100% turbo and only turbo. Full blast all day, no matter what.

    hi, great video, was looking to order one on aliexpress, whats the difference between the 21a and 21b? thanks

      Thank you!
      The biggest difference is that they have a different tube (body) of the light. If you like the grip and styling of the S21B better or the simple design of the S21A.
      Both take 21700 batteries, but the S21B is easier to remove the bezel and inside the head of the light to swap parts, and also the S21B is normal turns to remove the retaining ring whereas i believe the S21A and S2+ are counter clockwise.
      If you dont plan on making any changes to the light, go with the one you like the tube style of better.

      S21A and S21B have differeces if You want to modify, have different design of firward part, different switches etc

      The biggest difference is the B has a much more durable steel bezel at the head. The S21A is all aluminium, so the head is kinda soft.
      A lesser but still big one is the driver platform - the S21A uses a removable brass pill, while the B uses an integrated shelf. Dissipates heat better, but less mod-friendly.

    Metal Convoy switch is "forward switch" (aka tactical) ? Seems yes? Aliexpres item description says nothing about

    • @jacuswoczega9180
      @jacuswoczega9180 Před 10 měsíci

      I have answer: oryginal convoy metal switch is "reverse"

    • @DinnerForkTongue
      @DinnerForkTongue Před 7 měsíci

      @@jacuswoczega9180Yes, stock Convoy switch is reverse clicky. This is designed as an EDC light.

    The auxiliary light of the convoy will get you shot first. My Surefire Tactical Flashlight doesn't have any auxiliary lights & don't even make a click sound.

    • @DinnerForkTongue
      @DinnerForkTongue Před 7 měsíci +1

      No it's not, the aux light is barely visible.
      Though I do recommend you stick to your SF for tactical use. The Convoy is an EDC first and foremost, very good for non-tactical "administrative" applications.

    ...thinking you need to campare the sp35t to the convoy with the dual switch... if youre being fair, js!

    UI from Convoy hardware tail switch, be true more rich list in version 12 group, is ancient in 2023year. No shortcuts to turbo, voltage, no blinking 2 times in a year if you set group without blinking. Very poor mode memory (without exckuded modes) This is poor UI in this times

    • @DinnerForkTongue
      @DinnerForkTongue Před 7 měsíci +1

      1) Reverse mechanical clicky can only do so much. You want more, get an electronic switch.
      2) Mode memory works perfectly fine.
      3) It's customizable in a basic package. You want a Turbo shortcut, put it in a mode group that starts at 100% and disable mode memory.
      4) You wanna know voltage, use a multimeter. Far more reliable.
      5) Only white wall hunters like blinky modes.

    ? How long have you been in law enforcement? I'd bypass both of those despite being great budget lights and grab a true tactical may pay more but my life is worth it, wife may disagree ... Nitcore Klarus Acebeam and Cyansky would be good companies to look into ... I don't do reviews but been collecting lights knives and other EDC type gear for some years now and I can't believe how all these reviewers have popped up , I'm sure appreciated by newbies but to much talking at times with there opinion.
