- This video shows a short interview of Phil Lynott (solo artist at this time) and John James Sykes (playing with Whitesnake at this time) for the Music Box.
At a point, the reporter ask them if John and Phil are the unseparateble ones. Phil just smile and says: "Well, only girls separate us".
Phil Lynott played with Skid Row, Thin Lizzy, The Rockers, Grand Slam and others projects.
John Sykes came from Tygers of Pan Tang and played with Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake and Blue Murder.
I hope you enjoy it! - Hudba
They were so cute together...you can tell they're like BEST friends.
John looks so happy here.
yes John looks so happy but Phil seems so low (solo) just look at his eyes
phill lynott was one of the best composers of hard rock music that ever lived...
thank you for the music you left us.
Respect to John, he's always respected Phil's legacy and never came out blurting to the media about his great days in Thin Lizzy.
Yes..I have to agree. a gentleman
great musicians.great friends.
They were class! Phil's death affected many people, for me personally it was a sad sad time & I was just a fan!!! He was that Great!!! & Admired !!! John was the Protege who loved Phil the Man!!
HHHHHHHHH best of friends, back in the day eh!! Miss Phil, but Sykes will carry on Thin Lizzy til he goes too..... Great talents all round, Great band, unparalleled....Thanks for the MUSIC guys,,,
They were close mates, Sykes never had that relationship with Coverdale. Apparently John even had his own bedroom at Lynott's house in Kew, pity they never got to make another record together.
Coverdale was jealous of John...
"Don't tell the wife!" HAHAHAHA
Funny how it cuts off straight after that comment! 🤣 Oh Phil you pot stirrer!!🤣🤣
Phil Lynott - a very talented wise and modest man . He wrote and composed beautiful songs. With his beautiful , strong voice he was able to sing in a variety of musical styles . The best bass player in the world , the best person . He loved his country , loved people . On stage , he was happy to see his fans . John Sykes got a great experience during his days with Thin Lizzy and Philip . I love the voice of Philip . Thin Lizzy one of the best teams rock of all time 🎶🎸🎶
Two Leos hanging out and"having a ball all the time".Such a shame that one didnt make it.RIP Phil
Wow I thought Phil was a Virgo but August 20 is indeed Leo
John sykes, un virtuoso de la guitarra, levantó grandes grupos
That was very cool! Thx for posting
Мужчина- men,вернитесь в семью,Вас никто не отпускал.(J.Sykes)
@tyu198 No he died on January 4th 1986
If only John and Phil stayed together...what could of...one thing for sure Whitesnake would not have been as popular
John should have stayed with Tygers of Pan Tang. Way better band
Steve Burk I LOVED Tigers of pan tang!!!( w/ John Sykes!!!),but Thin Lizzy was a great band ! Especially live ! They were tight!!! And always threw great shows!!! You should watch their live footages( not sure if you have!?)Their song " I'm still in love with you" was/ is the very best break up ballad that I've ever heard in my life! It still makes me cry like a baby to this day after 40 plus years!!! But I personally loved Tigers much more as well!
@@spark_6710 Tygers were way better for they had a real singer during the Spellbound era
Steve Burk Oh I know what you mean...Johnathan...he sung difficult melodies( for a rock band) & very high notes ! I loved his vocals!!! But , seriously Phil Lynot was very talented! Thanks for replying to me , though! T.O.P. 's fans are PRECIOUS!!! So, it's SO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU (GUYS)!
@@spark_6710 I don't find PHil that talented. Very limited vocal range. He never should have been the singer
Better band then who?I cant come up with one.And Sykes always got embarrassed when you mentioned Tygers he was just way to good to be in a crappy band like that and im glad that he got the chance to play with some really good musicians like Lizzy and Whitesnake because he deserved it.
