Back in my younger years this skirt would be more likely identified as being a skirt worn by the females for square dancing, with layered petticoats underneath. And it's true, if you don't change sizes, hang on to some of your favorite outfits as they're likely to come back in style again, hehe. BTW, thanks for continuing the tradition of sewing garments. Last I saw all the major pattern houses no longer sell retail & I'm hoping someone takes up the trend again. TEMU can't last forever! I've kept a favorites collection, at this rate I may have to write them into my will to pass down.

This is supposed to be quick (the cutting and stitching methods are brilliant). If you have a few more minutes to sew, you could slice the full panel down the middle to make a front and back and add inseam pockets to the top tier (what can I say, I just love pockets 😂😂).
Cute! It has the look of a tiered skirt without the bulk of actually progressively fuller tiers.
