This was a fantastic video! I wan't sure what 15mm or 25mm spacers would look like on a stock miata, so it was great seeing not only the process, but the finished result as well! Thanks!
Hi Tyler, I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thank you for watching.
Bro this was such a good video! Looking at putting spacers on mine so glad I found your channel
Thanks pal, glad you found it useful.
Im thinking about getting one of those spacers for my oem wheels, yours is the same off-set of the oem ones? Because I liked the fitment on your car
Yeah, the wheels on the car are OEM - thanks for watching.
@@CarObsession that's really nice, I was thinking about 50mm spacer, but 25mm look sooooo good, thanks for the video and thanks for the extrem quickly awenser 💙
Hi mate, how wide are your alloys? I have 6j's on my mk2.5 and want to put spacers on to stance them out, but I don't want to encounter horrendous rubbing if I get 25mm spacers.
Cheers
Hi James, thanks for watching. I'm pretty sure my alloys are 6J as well.
@@CarObsession thanks man, I'll get some ordered 👍🏻
Curiously because I have afterMarket wheels do I have to put the hub centric ring on the spacer? Because my OEM HC is 56.1 and my rims are 73.1
So can I put the hub ring on spacer then my wheel?
I'll be honest with you pal, I don't know the answer to that as it's not something I had to consider and I don't want to misadvise you. Thanks for watching 👍🏽.
@@LovinBristol57 I sorted it out
nice video, do you HAVE to do the copper greasing stage?
Hello James, that's a good question. I am far from a mechanic expert, so I'd err on the side of caution and say yes. It's not a difficult or time consuming process, so I'd say there's no reason not to. Thanks for watching.
@@CarObsession I've now finished the video, that looks damn great. always a tough one deciding what mm to go for! as far as I can recall for these hub centric spacers you need to clear that tock hub thread, I think minimum spacing to clear the stock hub thread is something like 16mm. anyway, great job and lovely car
I wish I was a better mechanic too! the lightest of jobs fuddle me. I really didn't come here to plug, but two great friends of mine have just started a CZcams/instagram car venture and have created a beautiful vid on my own eunos, with some interesting chat and spirited driving! you seem like a nice guy so take look if you find yourself at a loose end :)

The oem studs fit into 25 mm spacers without needing to be grinded? And they sat flush with the rim?
Hello Klenoce, thanks for watching. No grinding required, and from memory, yes, they sat flush.
Car Obsession thank you, that’s great to know, I didn’t think so because you didn’t say anything about it in the video but I’d figured i would make sure!
So just curious, do you really need to fit all four spacers, or could you maybe just put them on the rear wheels ??..
You don't NEED to fit all four spacers, no, I just though it would look better if both axles had the pushed out look. Thanks for watching.
Right, ok thanks. I was able to pick up 2 25mm spacers for my MX5 for next to nothing and think I will just fit them to the rear.. I think it will look good. Great video and love the driving gloves in the follow up video. :)
Silly question, but I'm putting spacers on my car today or tomorrow and when you torque the spacers onto the hub (not the wheels onto the spacers) I'm assuming you mean the manufacturer of your car and not the manufacturer of your spacers?
Hi Josh, from memory, it's same as the wheel torque but it's best to double check after some driving to make sure that are still correct.
Any difference in going for a new set of wider alloys instead of spacers?
Cost, I'd say. Other than that, I can't really comment, as I'm not fitted wider wheels. Thanks for watching Tim.
Sturdier connection and higher price.
is there any rubbing?
Hi Rob, thanks for watching. No, I don't remember there being any rubbing.
What the lug nut pattern
Hello Anthony, I believe it's 4x100 - hope this helps, thanks for watching.
What size of those wheels?
15"
Ok but what’s the width, 195s?
Yup
How are they after 10months?
Hello Robbie, thanks for watching. They're not on the car anymore, in fact they had a very short lived time as explained in this video: czcams.com/video/DZZZQbWhNXQ/video.html
Long story short, I didn't like the change in handling characteristics - the car didn't feel as responsive on the initial turn-in and the car felt a bit understeery.

@@carteranderson3705 Hi Carter, I've explained why in the comment above yours? #confused
@@CarObsession Were they easy to take off? I'm considering putting spacers with my 14s and getting a set of 15s in the future, so I'm wondering if I had to put on/take these off every year when I swapped them if it'd be horribly inconvenient... Thanks for the video!
@@vaati000 very easy.
I cant all he is not mechanically minded 1. he is wearing a ring (mechanics will underatand) and 2. you put the tyre upside down which may scratch the alloy. Just a Tip!!
Hi there, I freely admit I'm not mechanically minded, which is why I never state these videos as 'How To' guides. I can't see when I put the alloy upside down as that isn't something I would do, for the reason you stated. Thanks for watching 👍🏽
@@CarObsession yh it's alright I understand🙂 love the vids anyway🙂
25mm is too much..
I'm inclined to agree! Thanks for watching.
You talk too dam much
Ok, next time I'll say nothing and won't explain what I'm doing 👍🏽😬🤐
