Currently, the media are constantly reporting conflicts between ethnic Albanians and ethnic Serbs …
Yet, apart from these inherent tensions, there is also a very normal life in a very captivating country, which is worth discovering. Dua Lipa and Rita Ora, to name just a few examples, are proud representatives of their birth country Kosovo.
In our travel video, we shed light on this very young country that declared itself independent from Serbia in 2008, even though Serbia still considers Kosovo part of its territory. Most European countries, the United States, Australia, etc. recognize Kosovo’s independence, but a significant number of others do not (such as Serbia, China, Russia etc.).
Join us for a deep dive into Kosovo’s capital Pristina and the surrounding area. We bring in the shadows of the past (Kosovo War, Kosovo Liberation Army UÇK etc.) and throw light on present day life. Explore with us interesting (majority Albanian and Serb) villages, beautiful landscapes, unique people - and gain many insights.

As a christian kosovar albania i can say that religios tolarance is in fact one of our strengths.
The constituion gives ethnic minorities more rights than any western country does.
Serbs all over Kosovo live in peace with Albanians with the exception of Serbs living in the North Kosovo.
Albanians have moved on but Serbs in the North are still beeingbrainwashed by Serbian Propaganda and Nationalistic ideas.
I hope that the Serbs in the North can one day similar to Serbs in the East, West and South live in peace with the albanians.
Kosovo is the most democratic country in the western balkans, its the most pro-european, its the least corrupt, it has had 2 female presidents in its 15years of statehood, ...

Albanians are Illyrians, the first and autochthonous people in the Balkans, while the Greeks came later from the Phoenicians of Lebanon and much later came the Serbian immigrants from Siberia, all the Serbian monuments that are in Kosovo were built during the Yugoslav occupation, while the ancient monuments are Illyrian. If the Serbian immigrants had not come to the Balkans with their war mentality, today the Balkans would be many times more developed than Europe.

This is well explained by the Serbian scientist, Pero Slijepčević, who published in 1934 in a scientific journal his study on the old Orthodox monasteries (churches), where he says that these churches are not the work of those Serbian rulers whose name they have, because at that time the Serbs did not have any tradition of their own in construction, nor in painting. The main monuments of the Christian cult in Kosovo, which today are considered Serbian Orthodox churches or monasteries, in most cases were built, reconstructed, or rebuilt on the foundations of old monuments from the Roman and Byzantine periods. It should be thought that the Kosovar Albanian element has its roots in the old Illyrian-Albanian population that dominated there since antiquity. History teaches us that the Serbs are, as far as Kosovo is concerned, very late invaders. Serbian expansionist policy towards Albanian lands has deep roots, even from the first mutual contacts at the end of the 12th century, when the Serbian ruler Stefan Nemanja in 1180 won the battle near Lipjan against the weakened Byzantium, and penetrated into a small part of Kosovo. Until then, Serbs are not mentioned at all in these countries as a population.

Kosov is Serbia in Serbian history and forver
Kosovo was never Serbian, not even during the 1912-1999 occupation. The Serbs did not bring Kosovo on their backs when they came from the Carpathians. Kosovo, the original Dardania, which is a much larger territory than the temporary Kosovo now, because the original Dardania extends to the present Niš, Kruševac, Kraljevo, Sjenica... which, together with all the other Albanian lands, was many centuries before the Serbs came out of the Carpathian forests and settled in civilization in the Illyrian territories. The biggest problem of Serbs is their false history. It is so false that they have convinced themselves that their history is true.

You should visit the mountains of Rugova (you’ll need a vehicle) but there is hiking, waterfalls, air you’ve never experienced before.
