@@xxtrengt8871 Neither the chemical or the candy flavoured with it are "from Sweden", pharmacies in Northern Europe started adding ammonium chloride and sugar to cough medicines in early 1900's.
The candy thing is very heavily a Finnish thing, that's why the Finnish name for it (salmiakki) is used even in Sweden 🙂
