I wish they'd make a version without cameras and drop the cost. I can't be the only one who doesn't want or need them.
Camera isnt there for you lol
I'd rather they either didn't include them, or spec'd them so we can record decent footage.
Iirc google don't give licese for google store for device without camera

Thank you Samsung. I know the market isn't what it used to be for tablets. Glad someone still makes decent ones.
Tablets are more popular now than it was at its peak. It no longer try to replace a computer. Instead, it focuses more on being a multimedia media centre.

That's going tomincrease thanks to Dex imho, p.us other factors. Personally thanks to Disabilities, I can't use Desktop Computers any more, which really Sucks as I used to build Custom Computers, plus was a Software Tester, for a long time, p,us a Games Tester since the late 1970's as gaming was the development Centre for Artificial Intelligence, which was worth keeping an eye on, plus Gaming is what pushed Hardware Developments so quickly. So Tablets are my main Comput8ng devices today, and due to the lack of Security, I've ditched Apple's iPad, Lenovo, etc, for my current Tab S6, and Knox Security. must ask the reviewer if The tested Tablet has Knox. I personally will not buy a Tab A series, until hardware is improved to things like 6mb+ Ram, and 128gb Storage. That doesn't mean that it has to be the very fastest versions of either, to cut costs. For me, the S6 is too big, and I'd like decent 8.4" and 9.7" options. All the best. Bob. 👍
@@MsHackthat Meanwhile Dex exists and the iPad moves towards a desktop looking OS
@@brownnoise357 Tab A series will not get 6GB RAM and 128GB storage anytime soon, because they are budget tablets, very cheap ones under $200. They are still the best budget tablets under $200! They are amazing. I just hope for 4GB RAM.
I want to say thank you for showing the video because it help me decide how I get my friend for Christmas. And myself.
Very decent review. Really enjoyed some of the extra info on how to fully use the tablet for gaming. Keep it up!
@ 1:25 - I've watched about 4 other videos trying to find out if video out was offered. Thanks for mentioning this detail.
Thanks for the detailed rundown!
Thanks for the coverage of video playback on the tablet, I was really looking for this type of review because I'm also considering to by this Tablet for Netflix and CZcams mainly. Really helped me to make the decision. Keep up the great review work.
Was looking at this on Amazon. Checked CZcams, watched your video, bought the tablet. So, thanks. :)
Pretty happy with it. You helped me make at least an informed purchase. Thanks.
Nice vid, just ordered 1 of these, happy with my purchase now, thanks for the review
Thanks for the good video. I bought A7 yesterday for $135 open box. I didn’t mind because its my first Samsung tablet just to have one for browsing CZcams. I like it thus far. Glad I saw your video. I certainly like this better than my iPad that’s 2013 model. Its dragging too much lately.
Wonderful detailed description. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to purchase as I want one with all these advantages and SIM card slot
Great, thorough review! Esp grateful you taking the time to give all that feedback abt the *sound of the unit (for a rare change). Most here kinda ocd on gaming and the like lol which is the LAST thing I use a tablet for. All abt Mp3s, videos, You Tube etc..so sound def upper tier vital to me. Thanks!
This is the review I was looking for. I just ordered this one on Black Friday on Amazon for $139.00 in 2022. I got it for watching movies, CZcams and email. Thanks for posting.
I ordered this on 15th october and colour was gold. I will use this for my studies
Perfect timing on the video we were looking for an affordable tablet for my daughter. I was afraid that performance was going to be bad as the Tab A 10.1.2019 model when I was looking at this tsbmet . Seeing a snapdragon 600 series on it should be good enough for most games. Awesome video as always.
That Redream emulation sold me. Not too shabby!
Great video! helped me decide for my tablet for school.
Great video. I just ordered me one. Thanks for the video.
Excellent review as always. Think I might pick one up
The 32Gb version has about 19Gb of free space on the internal storage. Sadly it is difficult to get hold of the 64Gb version and with android and apps taking up so much space now I would advice anyone who is getting a smartphone or tablet to get one with 64Gb of internal storage. Some will complain about the RAM but that is less of an issue compared to internal storage. Great review.
Thanks again for still using golden eye to show emulation performance
Galaxy A7 has some fine specs and performance, 😀great piece of hardware
Thank you! Really helps me 👍
Just bought this tablet yesterday at Best Buy enjoying it so far
Thanks for letting me know about Samsung's tablet.
I have the same tablet and I will think about getting the ipega controllers. Thanks for the video showing those controllers
I'm really interested. Not out here in Australia yet but it's on its way
I liked an subscribed just because you showed how minecraft works in that fire tab
I recently got one and it's pretty good! No complaints so far.
Sir, your channel is the best...I just saw this tablet on sale from SD at $169 and was wondering about the performance. This has to be the best budget tablet out, Thank You for taking the time to make this video
I would love if you did a comparison with the Fire 10 from Amazon
I love the expandable game pad. I didn't know such a thing existed.

Thanks for reviewing this tablet. I think it would have been a better choice to compare the benchmarks between this and the Fire HD 10 (2019) or S6 Lite as they are all within the same sand price range. We all know the S7 is going t
o dominate over this tablet.
I might grab this or a price dropped S6 Lite as I'm growing more and more disappointed with my Fire HD 10. I get random lag and unresponsiveness. Which of the two would your recommend? Hopefully both will have a price drop on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
For those considering purchasing this tablet for college: Check first if your institution has any discounted deals. I got a galaxy tab s6 128gb with LTE for $175 at my college. And no it's not the lite version so it was a really good deal!! :))
Thank you for the review, this was very thorough! 👍🏻
Great price although i kinda wish it's 4+64 tho for that price
Nonetheless im buying this as laptop replacement till my 4k build be completed next year
Looks like a perfekt fit in 2021. Just need it for cloud gaming and Netflix/CZcams.
Man, I really should have waited for this. I just bought a couple months ago a 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 and like it for the most part. The only thing I don't like is rotating portrait and landscape modes. Is that snappy for you? I might still return it and buy this one anyway, for the 3GB of RAM. Decisions, decisions.
The biggest info I got from this video is Ancient Aliens being available on Netflix.
Ancient Aliens is a racist show. It belittles the accomplishments of non-white races.

Do you think the Sony Xperia play would be an ok emulation device? What would the max system be for it? Thank you again love the videos!
Mine coming today. Happy 😊 used to get s series tablets but rather buy a gaming laptop for 700 better than a tablet same price. This tablet perfect for a casual gaming use instead of phone 📱👌
Just bought this for my wife and I, since it was $169 on Amazon.
Took me a few hours to figure out how to root bit, but it was worth it.
Does it run smoothly a game called Sky: children of the light?
The lack of a super amoled screen is actually a pro to me. I loved my Galaxy note 4 but had to replace it due to obvious burn in. The Super amoled screen was just plain gorgeous BUT it got burn in despite taking great care of it. You know the whole I swear it never had any thing displayed for more than a few minutes so I have no clue how it burned in scenario.
Great video man should I buy this or Samsung Galaxy Tab S4?
How do you compare it to the Tab S6 Lite in terms of pure performance ? w/o considering the features.
Thx
Hi ETA PRIME, just a small note. The screen is TFT rather than IPS. Thanks for the video.
Thank you ata prime for testing this Galaxy tablet I'm thinking of buying this tablet performance is better than my fire 10 tablet
Great video. Can you please try War Robots Multiplayer battles (by pixonic) for me on the Samsung A7. I own the A6 and the game has become so laggy since they've introduced the remastered version I can't play anymore. it's no fun at all. Also the 60fps option ingame says "coming soon" but other people have the option already. So I'd like to know if you have the 60fps option or not & how well the game plays before I consider upgrading from A6 to A7. Thanks
Hi Prime, did you test other emulators on this device, like dolphin, ps1 and ps2 emulators?
I recently bought this tab
And it's great for the price also has Quad Speaker
How much it cost you?

Just casually looking for a tablet and just found out Sony support for vita is slowly fading. You mentioned emulation, could this tablet be a useful interface to run the programs I'd need to "unlock" that forgotten handheld?
No
Just ordered one of these for just $150 via Black Friday special. Fantastic deal for the price! Don't need it to replace my desktop, just need something for some occasional on the go web browsing, media consumption & Emulated gaming, which this will do splendidly for. Really no reason to splurge when this will do great for what I need it for. Gotta love Black Friday! :)

I've been looking everywhere online to see whether this tablet does picture-in-picture, so thank you for that! Can you confirm whether it does it whilst another app is open and does this tablet also support having multiple windows? Thanks again!
Yes, the Samsung Tab A7 can support opening multiple windows! The most I have used personally is 3-4 different windows.
Nice. Just got one of these to replace an old Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7" 3/32gb model. With failing battery and SD card/gets warm on top right side. Only downside is no camera flash. Same as my old S2. So not taking pictures in low light/night. Just wondering what case/cover poeple would recommend for this tab?
Which Is better for emulation? S6 Lite or A7? How about the Dolphin's performance for this tablet?
ordered this last night and get to pick it up today, pretty excited! Ill be using it as my mobile gaming device (TES Morrowind pretty much) and as a computer to use with my Segway Ninebot Max electric scooter for firmware updates and hacks
would love to know more about that iPega controller...
How’s it holding up!? It’s on sale and thinking of getting it

Hey! Did you know that this Tablet is actually so big in diagonal like the Windowed youtube Player on a 15,6" Laptop (after you hit F11).
Costco is offering a special holiday price for 180.00 dollars for this tablet! And also comes with a 64gb micro sd card!
cant wait for emulation test
Which one should be buy tab s6 lite or a7 ??
Waiting for the Poco X3 NFC emulation review
I think the tabs s5e is a better option. You can get it at around 300 usd new on ebay. SD 670. Superamoled screen with 1440p resolution. Akg quad speakers. With Samsung Dex. With the recent one UI 2.5 update. You get all the the new features including wireless Dex and other tab s features.
I'd still recommend a Second hand tab S6 I've seen so many in perfect condition for 300 just offer up or your local pawn
Why do you need a tablet?
Have you tried this with the Steam Link app over WiFi? Does it work well?
Finally, they put a snapdragon in their A line!
My emulators really perform better on Qualcomm chips.
Great news.
Edit: Annnnnnd, ordered.
How is it going! :D
I know I'm very late here, but if possible, Could you test spaceDesk app on it? I want to use this tablet as second screen I don't know if it will lag, in my Samsung note 8 its perfect
I upgraded my aging Tab S2 recently for a Tab S5e... it seemed like the better option in comparison to S6 Lite, and it's potentially a better deal in comparison to the A7 too, though more expensive - how much it depends on deals you can find.
I wouldn't know the price in the US though... it cost around the same as my recent upgrade from OnePlus 3 smartphone to S10e, which was an incredible deal for me personally as the phone has everything I wanted at a reasonable price.
Probably around the 250-350 bucks price? If I do the currency conversion and add the necessary extraneous importation taxes, that's around what it comes to.
The S10e keeps lots of the flagship features, so it's really worth looking into past models instead of spending in a current low end model like the A line. If you can get used, even better... probably could get them even cheaper - but I got mine new.
Emerging market, here in Brazil these older models are still sold brand new on retail stores and whatnot.
Tab S5e and S10e both have: fingerprint scanner (side mounted, on the power button), support for DeX and mirroring, the S10e has incredible specs, and the speakers are pretty awesome for the price category.
The S10e has that sort of stereo system that combines a bottom firing speaker plus the headpiece... it's not as great as dual front facing firing speakers, but like, the next best thing. The Tab5e has 4 speakers tuned by AKG.... it's day and night in comparison to my Tab S2. I think I can dismiss using Bluetooth speakers from now on.
The SoC on the Tab S5e (Snapdragon 670) is better than the one in the A7 (Snapdragon 662), but it's a bit weaker than the S6 Lite (Exynos 9610)... but the S6 Lite doesn't have a fingerprint scanner, is heavier, has worse cameras, less internal storage and doesn't have DeX for some reason. It does have the S-pen though, and generally cheaper, it's kind of a mixed bag depending on what you wanna use the tablet for.
Good to note, these models I listed are actually the mid ranger versions of past models. The A line is the low range, thus being cheaper on launch. But due to how generous Samsung was on these mid rangers, and how price tends to drop sometimes quite dramatically, it's really worth trying to find deals there. When the S10e and the Tab S5e launched, they were priced more like 400-650 bucks. o/
S5e is a way better tablet, for the AMOLED screen alone.
What model did you test?. There are several tabA7s? I picked one up for 150 at Costco with a 64 gig memory card
I am saving to get maybe the s7 fe later, but I have this one for now and wanted to know if it would make a great alternative travel laptop for now. I get tired of lugging my hefty gaming laptop through the airport and just in general. I'd rather keep it at home.
i was searching a detailed review of this tab because i was thinking to buy it ........thanks i think i can buy it soon for media consunption and for supercell games like clash of clans or clash royale, do you think it has enough power for play supercell games at stable 60fps? big up man
That is about it for Me also
Media consumption and clash of clans and boom beach
How do you make the sd card as main storage?
And will the apps be updated via the SD card?
I'm wondering why none of all the tech guides never go into this...
Unfortunately, you can’t use the SD card for main storage. However, you can move apps to the SD card, albeit being very tedious. You would have to go to the app settings and manually move it to the SD card. And not all apps can be moved to the SD card. Apps moved to the SD card is updated and is stored there.
How do comic book reading apps such as Comixology and Hoopla look on the Tab A7 10.4 display? How do digital books look? Similar to Tab 10.1 2019? Tab A 10.1 seemed to have a really nice screen for reading. I hope Tab A7 is just as good! Thank you!
How does this compare to the Samsung Tab A 10.1 - 3gb ram variant? This new tablet is only $20 dollars more than what i payed for the Tab A 10.1
Hey can you make a video on the poco x3? It has a snapdragon 732g the best snapdragon cpu on mid range phones, thanks in advance!
@ETA whoa what's up with your S7+ screen color? When you showed the tablets side by side the tab S7 was much whiter whereas your S7+ had a noticable pink hue!!
Thinking of getting the Lenovo Duet Chromebook - mainly for reading (ebooks, PDFs and Comixology); and maybe some drawing.
Would you recommend the A7 over the Duet?
Chromebooks are great but if you're mainly reading ebooks and such like then I'd get this tablet over the Duet.
Does this one give the option to mirror, or use a usb C to hdmi out dongle?
I would love to see this tablet vs the s6 lite since it’s closer in range
S6 lite don't have qvad speakers, but it has 4 GB Ram and Spen
Where I live in Costco this tablet with 64gbs + a 64gb SD card is going for 200. So is basically a steal if you ask me
It's a bit out of left field, but I wonder how this tablet compares with the Lenovo Chromebook Duet. The price is similar and features overlap.
What features? Not the vast vast vast majority of them... Chrome OS vs Android is not a fair fight, for general usage, Android mops the floor with Chrome OS. Android can just do so much more objectively speaking.
LatelyI was aiming to this tablet (3+64 version) , i would like to use it mostly for comics, youtube, office, prime, basically the tasks i usually do with my crappy old celeron 11" laptop. I know it has not Dex, which is kinda a bum, i know there are other windows style launcher if i need it to be a more desktopy experience but still...not even video output, so my question is, if i want to use it on a monitor/tv what can i do? or no way around it? do you guys think it will give me a good desktop experience (tasks above) for a couple of years?
I was just about to be mad about the fact that I just bought a fire 10 until you said the price.
The display is TFT. and NOT IPS.
That's perhaps the only drawback in the tablet.
(Besides the 3gb ram, which in future may be inapt for many apps and sites. Bit works fine for now for the price. )
Thumbs up just for mentioning Ancient Aliens... Giorgio Tsoukalous FTW
Watching on my Tab S4 thinking about upgrading to 256GB Tab S7+
How does it compare with the S5e, is the S5E still better/ good option?
