Yeah I just bought the ball joint installer and I was watching you on how you installed it. I don't think I would have figured it out thank you much easier because everything's in the way if you use the other side.
Yeah, took me a bit to figure it out but figure it was useful to document. Glad my video helped and thanks for supporting my channel. Keeps me motivated to keep going
I had this happen before on my DC5. Honda should of kept the old design where the balljoint is secure by a c clip so it doesnt slip out. Those buddy clubs will work on new hubs. I wouldn't use them(may work but I rather have piece of mind plus u can find a better product) I suggest Megan Racing. They use the c clip design.
Tienes algún beneficio con esas rótulas ? Baja un poco la suspensión frontal o no cambia la altura de la llanta con el salpicadero después de la instalación ?
yeah, i wanted a snap ring. But I needed a replacement fast and it was the only one in stock. Was considering eventually swapping out with a ktuned or hardrace but alot of them are on backorder. It is however still holding up well, about 2000 miles on it and its still working
I was thinking maybe the knuckle should have been replaced because the hole for the ball joint could have been worn and been part of the reason the old ball joint came out.
Hey man do you know the part number of these ball joints, I got some for my 02 rsx and they are too small for the knuckle I can just push them in by hand no problem and they pop out easy. The box says 02-04 type s but they are definitely not right
@@kyleomanson yeah so basically I returned them to the company I got them from and they reached out to buddyclub for me and buddyclub stated that over time if the ball joints have been changed before the knuckle might stretch and warp to be a bigger hole basically, and after talking to some techs at work I work at an Acura dealer they said that makes sense because Honda never sold just ball joints for these cars they would sell the whole knuckle if it needed ball joints because of this, when this happened to me I had to get autozone ones and they fit fine because they are a little over sized so I tried the ktuned option as well and I measured the ktuned compared to the autozone ones and they are just about the same size but I haven’t had time to put them in yet. The hardrace ones are also supposed to be a little over sized I’ve heard but i wasn’t able to get any of those. I hope this helps you lmk if you have any questions

Did you have any issues after install like the ball joints popping out ?
No issues at all. I check monthly and no signs of ball joints coming out yet

Hows fhe handing and bump steering after installing the ball jointa and lower control arms?
The handling is more precise. There’s still bump steer sometimes but not as often.
What does this kit consist off.. cup sizes etc
The 6 inch ball joint press itself and all the sleeves and adapters. Brand is Astro Pneumatic
Hey brother it’s “cotter” pin not “cottyer” pin lol
Thanks for the correction. I'm bad with that stuff so will correct it.
