WAITTT WHAT I JUST HEARD OSUN IS ELIMINATED? I LIKED HIS RAP THE MOST! I was blown away since the first time I heard him. They really eliminated the best ones: m1nu, osun, d.ark..I don‘t want to hate on the mentors decisions but especially d.ark elimination was not fair! d.ark was in my option better and he showed a new side of him but jay really liked the other one since the beginning, he is obviously his favorite, of course he won‘t eliminate him
I was super sad about osun huhu especially when I saw how he couldn’t focus on the practice cuz his teammates kept on chatting whenever he does his part. Since he forgot a lot of his lyrics so it was understandable that he got eliminated but still I felt bad for him.
That's right, the mentors already have their own heroes and it's useless for D.ark, I hope D.ark can grow and always get a better response

And he was not eliminated! Don‘t get me wrong I really like this kid too but I think it’s not fair that the favs can do mistakes without being eliminated! everyone should be treated the same

I thought that this season would be the best of all cause from the mentors to high school rappers the line up is just beautiful, little did i know that it will turn out like this. "Woorim" came to HSR as a High school rapper not as the "artist/rapper" D.Ark, his flow was the best compared to others so why did he got eliminated? Is it because they see him as "D.Ark" and not "Woorim"

Tbh that performance was a no doubt win for me but I already expected him to lose cuz the mentors especially Jay Park already liked Dahyun even before he performed, it was like no matter how good D.Ark’s performance was he was never gonna win. Dahyun did good too but damn, D.Ark just did the best performance for this season so far yet he got eliminated. Also the other contestants was so happy when they found out that D.Ark got eliminated and you can see that it wasn’t because they were happy for Dahyun it was because the mentors basically removed their strongest competition. Let’s be honest here isn’t it weird how the mentors didn’t even react that much? It was like “this is hard” “they both did good” and then boom decision is made that was it. Like wtf!? If that kind of performance was the one that I’m judging I would’ve at least be a lil bit hesitant with my decision but it wasn’t for them cuz well they already know who they like.

It’s JJANGYOU all over again, he changes his style to show how versatile he is and that he’s the best and then he’s eliminated anyway. I love JeJu boy but damn there was favourites played way before this happened. I honestly believe they chose to eliminate D.Ark now because they knew he will be the fan favourite when the voting isn’t in the mentors control. Disappointing, but what can we expect. It’s honestly tragic how they tell him to change his style because it’s too repetitive and then he comes back and does this and has by far the best performance of the episode, to then be eliminated.

Nah jjangyou didnt change his style to show off and get votes from judges, he was just having fun as a artist and making sure his mom could see that he is doing good since she left him when he was 7. D.ark is great rapper, i hope he reaches someday the level of artist that jjangyou is, so free and true to his vision about art.

I really realized that Bemo is doing great, I admit it. But if you wanna say something about fairness, to be truth if you just see about their rap ability, Woorim is doing so much better. The difference is only about mentors' expectation for D.Ark. And I think it's really not fair. While you see Dahyeon as a high school rapper, you see Woorim as D.Ark - a rapper that already get some fame. This things make me feel the judges kinda unfair to Woorim :(
the main problem is that it's only natural for them to have higher expectations for d.ark, as they do for trade l. Especially for d.ark, he has a LOT more experience over the other contestants in terms of stage performance, rapping, writing lyrics, etc. I do think the producers were kinda biased towards dahyun, but at the end of the day he is a new face, sort of like a new discovery. With d.ark, he's really good, but in my opinion he didn't have to come out on hsr4 to prove anything. I mean he already got a pretty strong label, brought back his name with smtm9, said he would come out on smtm10, so it's probably a little boring, redundant, and overkill for him to come out on even hsr4.
Another big argument I see is that d.ark is coming out here as woorim the highschooler and not d.ark the rapper. While that is a fair point, d.ark isn't exactly your normal high school student. He was rapping since he was in elementary school, and the level of experience and rapping ability he has puts him leagues above the other contestants, almost making it unfair since it's supposed to be a competition among high school rappers and not people who are already basically professionals. Even if d.ark comes out as kim woorim and not d.ark, everyone knows who he is and how good he is, which will naturally raise the standard no matter what. An example of this is in the cypher round, where d.ark makes a mistake like 4 bars in his verse and has to restart after a bit, which resulted in him not getting much praise from the mentors, which is understandable: he has a LOT of experience on a stage, and making mistakes there kind of shows that he still hasn't really learned his lesson from smtm9 cypher and 3v3v3 rounds, both of which he made mistakes in and had to freestyle.
This part is just my opinion btw: i think dahyun deserved to win not because he did inherently better, but because d.ark had some shortcomings in his performance.
1. D.ark's performance didn't have as much substance (or much in general) to it, mainly because of the style he chose. While dahyun was able to say a lot in those 1min 20s, the same can't really be said for d.ark, again, mostly because of the style he chose. If i am being completely honest with no bias, when I heard d.ark's performance end, I was like "wow this is really good, but that's it?". I can't be the only one that thought that his performance was great but kind of lacked the level of storytelling and communication that he could have done.
2. Many people have already said this, but d.ark's performance did feel like a "flex" of sorts about his label. Even if that wasn't his intentions, it further separates him from the standards of hsr. By the topic of "family", I think the goal was to talk about your family and say any thank yous, shoutouts, or stories. Bemo didn't really talk about anything super inspirational, but it was simple, honest, and earnest, and that level of almost "innocence" is what hsr should be. D.ark rapping about his label and everything, even if it wasn't on purpose, just reminds people again that he's basically a pro already with a strong label backing him.
3. In the interview after d.ark got eliminated, he cries and talks about how hard making music is for him, and how he has a lot of pressure on him to support his family. Now this was a very heart-wrenching moment since we get to see how fragile and pressured he was, and it shows that he's still just a kid on the inside despite all of his experience. Here's the problem: it it was about family why not rap about his struggles or how lonely he was being away from them and that he wants to see them? That could have been a legendary and inspirational performance, but rapping about his "new family" at p nation was kind of a missed opportunity and topic error on d.ark's part.
Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Let's get it all straight we all know how the mentors outshadowed d.ark. they onlh focused on the new rappers. D.ark went to HSR4 as woorim, a literal highshool rapper not the d.ark we knew who was a SMTM 777 and 9 contestant. The kid wanted to start anew but they all be saying "we all know that d.ark is a good rapper no cap" etc but they didnt even gave the child the chance he deserved. He was damn happy performing with the kids same as his age. He was slowly getting back in track, but as u guys can observe, mentors seldomly appreciate him and compliment him yea sure they say things to him but those are all half fckn cooked compliment for God's sake he's also a child who wanted to be noticed and complimented.
I love the mentors but I dont think they appreciate woorim as woorim. They still see him as d.ark who raps well as if he doesnt make mistakes like a normal highschool child. They wanted him to show new side of him and when he did, they just half assed complimented him they werent even felt bad when he was eliminated like when the ohseon child got eliminated they were so dissapointed and looks like lost them half ass soul
They treated him as if D.Ark didn’t went through something harsh and lost basically a lot of his confidence he was just gaining it back again and they eliminated him after he did such a great performance, it’s sad cuz he would think he didn’t do well again.
