If Darth Plagueis actually allowed his acolytes/apprentices run around like this so blatantly, Sidious should have referred to him as "Darth Plagueis The Stoopid"
True. Though I do like the idea Plaguies killed him for this whole mess. He revealed himself to the Jedi way too early, caused a huge mess and potentially exposed the Sith. Maybe that could salvage the show by basically having Plaguies kill everybody
Maybe plagueis isn’t approving of this, or maybe he isn’t linked to plagueis? Who knows? That’s why you have to actually wait for the show to reveal information before you complain. The last episode made it pretty clear the show is aware that no one who saw the sith can survive, or at least survive and report back to the jedi order…
Did you ever hear the tragedy of DARRTHHHHHH plaguies the wise?
Sidious did the same thing in canon and Legends.
@@donovan4222let's say that's the case and they end the show with any jedi even slightly aware of the jedi assassinations and a dark side acolyte running around being killed off (or secretly another dark side acolyte as I have a strange feeling jedi nepo-baldy is going to be revealed to be a dark side user as well which would answer why she knew about all of this and hasn't been killed off, yet).
However if that was the plan then why bring Ki Adi Mundo into this series as his presence makes this plot line even harder to pull off and dumber overall. If they just left Mundi and any other jedi seen or heard about in the prequels out of this then MAYBE they could have done some crazy ass-pull in the final couple episodes that would restore canon (though it still wouldn't fix what is still a fundamentally bad piece of entertainment regardless of it having the SW name slapped onto it or not)

Also everyone who saw him would have to die.
The show-runner has already confirmed that he is a Sith. New Rockstars did a breakdown about it and was in a round-table with the creators who also confirmed it twice.
The Jedi council didn’t believe Qui Gon when he said he encountered a sith and it wasn’t until after he died that Yoda and Mace agree it was a sith. It’s not just bc he has a red lightsaber.
But somehow about 80 years prior Yoda nor any council members sense that a bunch of jedi died back to back and I guess don't investigate which at the very least when they see the bodies would show lightsaber burns and should have led them to the conclusion sith have returned
Because outside of Qui-Gons accusation of Maul being sith and his red lightsaber what proof did they have he was sith right
@@averythehawk his eyes for one
@@67DREADS They never saw Maul remember he was cut in half and fell into that shaft. Could've just been his natural eye color. I guess maybe Obi-Wans telling the council of what happened afterwards. But even then I'll refer to my earlier point that now thanks to acolyte 80 years prior something similar happened, and they didn't at the very least give Qui-Gon benefit of the doubt when he brought up his encounter with Maul
Yeah you know why? IT’S BECAUSE THE SITH WERE GONE FOR OVER A MILLENNIA. Of course they’re skeptical. It’s like if a rare species known to be extinct were gone for a thousand years and they show up and there’s no photo evidence of it. Ppl aren’t going to believe you at first.
Bruh i can’t with this fanbase. I just can’t.
When this guy said that he is a sith I immediatlely thought of the 2003 clone wars, where Asajj says that she is a sith to Dooku, and the count just laughs.
He said it only in the sense that Asajj was not nearly as powerful as she should be for such a claim. Becoming a Sith requires ascension to the Sith ranks through feats of strength and power.
@@takuidwhich she didn’t achieve. she may have yearned to become one, but asajj was never a sith, hence why dooku laughed at her.
@@thedilfofwallstreet5385 Unlike Asajj this guy 5v1ed Jedi masters and knights and did more than Asajj ever did. Asajj killed a bunch of mercenary type of creatures and droids when she made such a claim and was laughed at.
Right after the claim, when Dooku fights Asajj, he taunts her with how a Sith would be a better challenge than she is capable of. Again emphasizing that she lacks the power to become Sith and is sent to kill Anakin (a Jedi padawan at the time) to ascend to the lower ranks of the Sith.
If she did kill Anakin, and she killed a bunch of Jedi masters (not even 5v1ed them) Dooku would not be laughing at her claim. There was nothing preventing Asajj from becoming a Sith but her lack of prowess at the time.
Very different compared to Smilo Ren (who is a Sith to a certain degree no matter what he calls himself).
Obviously not taking into account the rule of two complications (and pruning) if she would grow stronger that applies to any Sith apprentice.
I feel like you guys agree haha
@@FirstnameLastname-rc8yd perhaps we don't disagree that much :)
I guess my point is that Smilo Ren is a Sith by any reasonable definition based on the empirical data of past examples of Sith.
I detest that this show is trying to bend the definitions to be more and more fluid, more a matter of opinion instead of fact, including what counts as Sith. It feels like, it is trying to cop-out by saying that if a person does not "identify" as Sith, then they are not.
which is utter nonsense to me. Anyway, none of this matters, Star Wars concluded with ROTS and died the moment it was sold to Disney.
I remember the saying that goes like "The more you lie, the deeper the hole you dig yourself into" and Disney's SW is doing just that.
That actually reminds me of another quote:
This may be a little bit off topic, but exactly how good are you at digging holes, i mean besides the one you've already dug yourself into
Now Sol is back on his ship isn't his discovery of the Sith going to be the first message he sends back?
This is why Theory is the GOAT, finding interesting scenarios where there aren’t many!!!!!!
Unfortunately there is no way that Disney knows that. They included fucking Mundi before mf was even born...
Lucas had Luke and Leia kiss in ESB. This has never been a perfect story.
Mundi is Plagieus
@@dredhed0 What are the disadvantages?
@@captaindc3889I’m Plagieus
There is no way Disney knows who darth plagueis is? Why would you assume this based on the fact that they retconned Mundi’s birthday?
My fear is that not only will plagueis NOT be used ...but the 'big bad sith' will actually be revealed as one of the surviving witch mothers. Then they retcon the witch mother is the reason the sith came back after all those 900 or so years. Basically this mother wants revenge against the jedi so she makes sure the sith continue until we get palpatine. This way kennedy gets to rebrand star wars away from Lucas and this would play into that. Really ...REALLY hope im wrong.
And she’s the bestest evar but misunderstood.
@@Jadty Yup. Id be more accepting if the sith were using various force 'cults' for experiments throughout the galaxy to develop the 'creating / extending life via the force' ability. Only once the cult is successful the sith come in ...takes the knowledge...then destroys the cult.
@@bigdude8180 YES the show MUST extend that way if not its just gonna be another woke garbage like the sequels
There is no way, how would they even explain Bane, who is canon and has been that since the Clone Wars.
The only for sure thing is there is no buttoning this up no matter what they do. If anything they will likely try to fix it in their crappy comics and books as usual which nobody reads. I'd bet real serious money they don't even try. They are that stupid and hateful. Filler product. IP mining. Star Wars in name only. This is all the Disney diversity hires are capable of, D.E.I. = Didn't. Earn. IT.
These are the types of videos I miss seeing on this channel. Just theorizing and having a good time.
He IS the young Darth Plagueis.
Why? Here the arguments:
1. HIS LOOK
a) Plagueis doesn´t has to look like a Muun. Why?
"According to Darth Sidious' book, The Secrets of the Sith, Plagueis discovered a form of immortality through transference, a Force power that allowed the user to transfer his consciousness to another body, essentially using bodies as vessels."
Because Plagueis want to learn about the dark side and immortality, it is possible that he later uses the body of a Muun as a vessel.
b) His helm material: cortosis
From the Plagueis novel: "Darth Plagueis and his Master Tenebrous are in a cave on the outer rim to examine its natural cortosis deposits, which are being mined. Tenebrous plans to use the cortosis´ natural resistance to lightsaber blades in his future attempts to overthrow the jedi."
c) Plagueis also has 2 red lightsabers (on some artworks -> could be an orientation).
2. HIS CHARACTER
c) Gain knowledge / wisdom (free, without any restrictions/rules)
His character is written as a person (Darth Plagueis Novel -> as orientation), who wants to gain more knowledge about the dark side. He doesn´t respect and doesn´t like rules
Quirim always talks about the restrictive rules of the jedi. That is a real problem for him. He wants to think completely free without any restrictions. He also kills his master in the Novel and break the rule of two.
d) Killing Jedi
He wants to kill jedi (maybe the beginning of ideas like order 66 later?)
e) Search for an own apprentice
He talk about his need to search for an own apprentice. Thats important for him.
Plot of the novel: "Plagueis has just murdered his master, become the dominant Sith so he begins to look for an apprentice of his own to advance his goals".
f) He kills Yord with what? neck breaking
Novel Plagieus: "The Muun tells his Master that he will put an end to the old order of the Rule of Two before breaking Tenebrous' neck and observing his dying body through the Force in an attempt to manipulate midi-chlorians."
These aspects are written based on ideas from the novel in my opinion.
Also in the Acolyte Qimir says that the "master" collects bodies/people. So that would make 1a. a good argument 😉
If that's so than it's more like plagueis the stoopid and not the wise because he's showing the whole world that siths are still alive without any substancial benefit.
I think that's just a lot of twisting things to make them seem a certain way but in reality it just isn't so.
Idk then this would create a giant problem with the sequels as plaguies would’ve most likely taught palpatine to transfer bodies
One BIG hole in your theory buddy. It is canon that Plagueis is a Muun. Not human.
They'll pull a Kenobi and everyone that survives promises to never tell anyone about this sith
They already killed everyone except for Sol and the rat(who I am pretty sure isn't a jedi).
Just like kennedy promised her boss harvey.
I think they will go for this guy being a sith wannabe.
Maybe he got access to some old sith writings, holocron or sith temple but is self taught.
In the end the jedi destroy whatever sith artifacts this guy has.
And the jedi all go well aren't we lucky it was not a actual sith but just this guy pretending to be one.

Tenebrous but yes.

Thank you Theory, for acknowledging that "okay, this all happened. Let's theorize". I like this alot better, you are actually curious now how they are going forward, instead of just blatantly being furious about it. I like this calm demeanor better and analyzing more. Like you said before, you can hate it or love it. But do so out of respect for others. And you make a valid point, I am also curious how they will "cover up" this massacre of Jedi. My theory is that, in fear of a political judgement from the Republic they will cover it up. Or just refuse to believe that the Sith returned. Like Windu said that he questioned the Sith returned without them knowing it. Perhaps they still firmly believe that the Sith will build up an order like they did in the Old Republic era. The Jedi feel so strong now that the rule of 2 is feels like a unlikely theory that will never overthrow them. The refusal of the Jedi to adept to the situation and the willingness of the Sith to do so, in combination with peacetime makes the Jedi stagnant and blind. I think you can compare Mundi to the flat earthers, so convinced of himself that he refuses to acknowledge the facts. But we'll see how it pans out.
I completely agree! A show doesn't have to be flawless for us to enjoy it. Theory's constant complaints about Star Wars are getting old. If he continues, he might as well consider rebranding his CZcams channel.
“Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.”
Is it possible to learn this power?

@@razhrotthat was in Legends.. He's going to be a white, powerful male. According to lots of fans, we can't have any people other than that.
Killnaka's been missing. He died a year ago for all the council knows.
But they should still sense the deaths of these jedi through the force, especially because of how many died so back to back.
The writers of the show watching your video and thinking "shit, why didn't we think of that ending".
If I had to guess how they'll wrap the show is by having everyone but the twins die. The Green Headed grandmaster, who is already keeping secrets from the council, (We saw Ki-Adi looking over at her in suspicion when she was talking to Sol) will probably assume/blame the deaths on the twins and accidentally cover up the Sith thereby technically not breaking canon. It's kind of obvious that Sol has to atone for the darkness he is hiding from, so I'm expecting him to die in the series. Probably from Osha (OH IRONY) for his ultimate betrayal of brainwashing her.
It would be cool if Plagueis shows up and helps the twins defeat Qimir. He then learns about the twins conception as a path to create Anakin in the future. For me that seems to be the best way for the story to proceed without further breaking canon.
To me this series main point is to show how the Jedi fell from their standard by the time TPM starts. Even George showed how the Jedi weren't living up to their ideals in the prequels and the clone wars. This series is pulling up the magnifying glass for the kids in the back who might have missed the fact that the Jedi Order is a corrupt institution, just like any institution that is in power.
Yeah, Ki-Adi Mundi's age stuff technically breaks canon, but at the end of the day that's not enough for me to say the show is terrible. That Witch ceremony was kind of cringe though... but that's kind of realistic for witch ceremonies.
Good Theory! There's a chance Qimir could be an Early Knight of Ren. So maybe he doesn't die at the end of the series.
This is by far the most sane and rational comment I've seen in Theorys comments and i love it, way better than all the blind hating and saying everything breaks canon.
However personally i dont like the idea of plagueis creating anakin, i would rather it be revealed that he helped the witches create the twins. That would fit what the zabrak woman said "and what if the jedi find out how we created them" and fit palpatines line in ROTS "he could influence the midiclorians to create life". Also, it would show how the sith are fundamentally breaking the force and achieving near godlike powers, so the force creates anakin as a response to bring back balance.
Which would keep anakin special, because the twins would be created by someone else using the force, but Anakin is the only one specifically to be created by the force itself.
Anyways if this is the case, and all jedi who see Sith die, and the sith cover their tracks so no one knows they were involved (as they did in the novel) i will consider this show at least passable, and it wont really break canon and most of theorys criticisms will be invalid
@@DarkestKnightshade That's a good point with the Force creating Anakin as a response to darkside tampering. I actually prefer your theory now!
I wasn't sure if Disney still views Plagueis as the creator of Anakin as canon. I recall there being a comic referencing it way back. I can't keep canon straight anymore! lol
I'm just trying to go into the show and find some enjoyment in it. I'm at the point where I realize that not all of it is made for me, but there are things I can enjoy regardless, LIKE THE SABER FIGHTS. But I also don't have to view it all as my personal Star Wars canon.
interesting take on theorys you guys, only time will tell how and what its gonne be. i dont like the show, yet i want it to be good
@@reggaesurvivor251 Yeah, I'm not 100% loving it myself, but it's not beyond redemption. There are really only a couple of ways this could end and I don't think it was a complete waste of time. I'm hopeful.
You can easily reverse it. It’s called decannonizing the sequels and recannonizing Legends
I grew up reading legends. Some of it was great. Some of it is in directly against Lucas’s vision for the prequels.
My guy most fans would dislike the legends content
Are you going to crowdfund for the legal expenses? Contracts were signed for all the Disney crap, and just wiping it could cost them hundreds of millions from manufacturers (merch), actors/actresses, writers, and exec producers. It would be nice if we could just wish it all away, but the reality is not quite so simple unfortunately.
You realize George Lucas hated much of legends and didn’t consider any of it canon?
Legends is kind of ass. Especially the old republic. It’s all fan service and plot armor. Disneys worse but Legends ain’t good
Last minute reshoots starting ASAP!!!
Even if that worked, it would mean they cared... so that's not happening. haha
There's no time for that now my dude.
You ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise? He appeared in the acolyte and that was the tragedy
Honestly this is what came to.kind when he said he was a sith and what he said he wanted to do. This guy is Darth maul from the canon comics basically just striking out and trying out his power and stuff, rebelling from his own master. Could also be doing a starkiller type plan of looking for someone to team up with him to hill his master like Vader wanted with Galen Marek.

I believe Qimir is the Acolyte himself, or at least a former one. If this is set a 100 years before episode one, it could mean a couple of things.
A. They plan on introducing a new set of Master and Apprentice, which chronologically would have to be the Master and Apprentice before Tenebrous and his master.
or
B: Tenebrous and Potentially Plagueis are currently the two Active Sith. In which case Qimir could be an Acolyte for Tenebrous.
Why?
Because Tenebrous is canon and in legends was Sith Lord for a century and was active during this period. Also in legends he tried replacing Plagueis. Though if Qimir's master really is Tenebrous there's also a chance QImir is Tenebrous's first attempt at having an apprentice. An Acolyte is basically someone who 'gets a taste' of the dark side of the force and from then on its up to a master to actually teach them the ways of the Sith.
Qimir has only shown to be able to force choke people, which as we've seen throughout star wars anyone who wields the force can do it if they are angry enough. That leads me to think he hasn't fully been taught in the dark side, and now the question is why? which leads back to the theory he is a either an active Acolyte or potentially a former/failed Acolyte.
The fact he tried to keep hidden, but the second he got discovered he openly admitted to being Sith, shows me that he had some kind of respect for the rule but ultimately doesn't care about it. I would imagine his master is the one that put that kind of notion in his head.
Another KEY point is the fact he hid his identity from his apprentice. In my opinion his reasoning was one of three things.
1. Qimir didn't want his master knowing he had a pupil on the chance she was discovered.
2. He did not want his FORMER master finding her and torturing the information out of her, so that he can find Qimir and tie up a Sith loose end.
3. Qimir doesn't know/never knew who his Master was because, like I said in the beginning, Qimir is actually the Acolyte being hidden from a master or another apprentice, and not Mae. Or Qimir could be the first apprentice of Tenebrous and ends up just being a failure or killed.
Basically my point is I believe Tenebrous is the actual Sith Lord in the background and Qimir is either his Vader or his Maul.
Appreciate it if you actually made it to the end!
EDIT: IN legends Tenebrous went to great lengths to secure Cortosis mines. AFter his Death Plagueis lost interest in the whole deal. It would explain why Qimir has Cortosis armor.

Let’s judge the shit out of this show when it’s done!
They're gonna blame Sol, the Twins, or the hermit Wookie on the murders
Would Sol or the hermit Wookie be thought powerful enough though to have killed all those Jedi on their own? If they blame the twins, then the Jedi in Ep. 1 (who would have access to library files in the Temple about the twins being 'force created'), would not be looking for "The Chosen One", but they would be looking for "one of the chosen ones". I don't think the Acolyte will make any sense no matter how they they will twist the storyline now!
@@truelove11.11 they haven't crossed the line yet. I'm sure everyone is going to die. There's no way Sol is going to inform the Jedi that there's a living Sith out there. No way. The twins may be the only two who make it out alive
@@renesrelics Possibly. But if all the Jedi who had seen the Sith, eventually die, who killed those Jedi? If the Jedi council don't know who killed all those Jedi in the Acolyte, then that should have been mentioned by Mundi in Episode 1. He should have said that: "a lot of Jedi mysteriously disappeared or died 100 years ago, and we never found out who or what caused that. Perhaps it was the Sith?" not in reply to that Qui Gon has seen a Sith: "That's impossible. The Sith has been extinct for a millennia!" The Jedi council must know about the force-twins from the other Jedi and that takes away from Anakin being special as the only force-made child. There is no way to rescue the Acolyte trainwreck.

I find the hints interesting that Sol has a strong dark side. He fights in the end with rage against the Sith and gets the upper hand. The Sith points out that he(Sol) wears a mask. And the entire story is a crime /revange mystery story about what actually happened that evening when the witches died either from bad writing or killed by the Jedi or something else that is still in the shadows.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind this
One thing that might become crucial is that when Qui Gon fought Maul he said "he was trained in the jedi arts" whilst Sol is confused about the fighting style of this darksider. That might also hint to him NOT being a sith.
Also, GL retconned himself a few times f.e. Darth Vader being Anakin instead of killing Anakin, Luke and Leia being siblings in 6. So it's not like Disney alone go against everything GL wrote, cause even GL went against what GL wrote.😅
Finally!!!! Yes!!! You’re absolutely correct!!!
We should also be careful. Because plot twists does not mean retcons.
@@Jinocturnus it aren't plot twists, he didnt plan vader to be Luke's father in episode 4
The difference being what GL retconned doesn't break the story, what Disney retcons do.
Agreed, Generation Tech did a great video breaking down the fight and I think they mentioned Qimer doesn't have a distinct style in combat. Sith and Jedi both have similar combat styles. Also I don't see a Sith using Cortosis because it's like cheating in a fight. A TRUE Sith wouldn't cheat to win. Play dirty, yes but it's like turning off the lightsaber in combat. It's shows weakness.
Also the way Qimer said Sith it sounded like a mocking tone, like he's making fun of the Sith. So he may just be a Darksider who knows of the Sith and Plagueis comes in and kills him to keep the secret.
You're 100% right with George retconning stuff. Hell having Mundi their adds to it in my opinion. Shows how blind to the Republic they are and they'd rather hid a Darksider killing Jedi vs a political scandal. Also Mundi wasn't even there during the fight and as far has he knows it's a splinter order or a rogue Jedi. Sith wouldn't even cross his mind because why would they think it's a Sith.
i also thougth that plagueis also could light up the series, but for the sake of the lore they could make that darth smile is just a wierd force sencitive that found a sith holocrom and for some reason were able to get some teachings, and the jedis that survive the figth end up discovering all this. That way is not like the sith has return was just a misguided force sensitive that end up with a shit holocron
It’s possible that David Harewood may play Darth Plagueis…. Or Tenebris
I think the Jedi high council was flawed so they just overlooked this mysterious Jedi killer
Finally, a video where Theory does his job, Theorize.
It’s possible that David Harewood may play Darth Plagueis
this sounds more like correcting a mess of a show that’s too late to fix since obviously they’re not going this route
Theory can do what ever he wants…is it your channel? I didn’t think so
Anything cool you think is gonna happen will most definitely not lol
The reveal was obvious, but we finally got a live action bad guy outside Anakin/Vader who killed more than one Jedi. That's pretty cool and long overdue
Even if the leads acting and story hasn't been great, I'm hopeful we still get cool sith/villain stuff before this concludes
Maybe Plagueis was drunk during this whole time and just didn't care. 😂
I still think he’s a knight of Ren because of Kylo’s theme in the episode when he force heals Mae/OSHA.
Just because the Jedi said there hasn't been a Sith doesn't mean there weren't Sith around during those thousand years. That's the whole reason the Jedi got completely wrecked and almost became fairy tale. They sat in their high temple and acted like there hasn't been any Sith just because they haven't seen any. And even if they saw something suspicious that could be a Sith, they would just sweep it under the rug and act like "oh that couldn't possibly be a Sith. We made them extinct!" They literally did that when they doubted Qui-Gon after he was just face to face with Maul. Especially stupid Mundi doubted literally EVERYTHING. Just because you don't see something, doesn't mean it ain't happening.
And I'm not acting like the Jedi are bad. They just became arrogant which is why they fell.
Right!?
@@Samuel_S_Hirsch Glad you understand. I can't stand how people are taking quotes or scenes and using w certain point of view for it as ammunition against the acolyte. It's not ammo, it just makes the fans look dumb. If we're going to take everything that everyone has said in Star Wars at complete face value and ignore the real meaning behind it, then Anakin has some weird phobia of sand and Obi Wan was indeed at Kamino to inspect the clone army.
I think he’s either an apprentice/student to Plaguies or Darth Tenebrous/plagueises master. I can see at the end of the show, the final scene is him choosing a young apprentice and calling him Darth Plagueis. It’s 200 years prior to phantom menace. So Plagueis would have to be very young, if they don’t break that lore.
100 years if I recall correctly.
I have a feeling they’re trying to set up this younger guy as either Plagueis himself or the master of plagueis. But seeing how unbelievably dumb the writing is, the timeline they’re coming up with for them would also probably make literally no sense.
It’s possible that David Harewood may play Darth Plagueis … or Tenebris
"We trained him wrong, as a joke" ~Plagueis
Wouldn't save the bad writing but at least it would make some form of sense.

Forget The Acolyte for a moment, *ABELOTH* is the big news I heard yesterday and then the recasting for Baylan. Casting for The Mother now makes me excited for Ahsoka S2! I hope Disney hires horror script writers for it. Make it spooky like when Qimir came down like he's Batman '89 right behind Osha. Abeloth could be the greatest villain we will ever see in Star Wars lore.
Fans will accept she's a FEMALE character too if they know Legends or her origin story that gets talks about a lot on CZcams. I always imagined Abeloth to be similar to Countess Elizabeth Báthory in Stay Alive (2006). Make it even more brutal than what Qimir just did to 7 Jedis in Khofar. Let her go on a killing spree. I could imagine many females trying to cosplay as her once she's finally in live action form. Dress up as the most powerful character in Star Wars EU lore.
Going back to The Acolyte, is Qimir or whatever his name is a deadlier Sith than even Darth Maul? I saw Maul kill one Jedi in The Phantom Menace. Smilo Ren killed 7 of them and it was 1 vs. 8 and not 1 vs. 2. But without a lightsaber, Sol seems to be the better fighter. Koreans do have their taekwondo, us Filipinos have only arnis/eskrima/kali. That fight choreography might have been the best we've seen in Star Wars since the Nick Gillard Prequel Era.
Erik Voss said yesterday in his breakdown video that Manny did most of his moves in that episode. It wasn't mostly a double. That was mostly him underneath that. He trained hard for it for months. Erik made a good point yesterday. The reason why the lightsaber fights in the Sequel Trilogy sucks is because which Jedis are out there to train them? This is why Kylo Ren and Rey can swing a lightsaber so wildly like a child swinging a baseball bat with no discipline.
I heard from Daisy that the lightsabers were heavy to carry. The OG Trilogy has the same excuse although action scenes in the 70s and 80s were still quite primitive from Americans that hadn't adopted Hong Kong's martial arts style for their movies until the mid to late 90s. In the Prequels, the Jedis were still in their heyday. Nick Gillard and throw in wushu world champion, Ray Park, made sure the lightsaber looked like an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.
I've replayed Qimir killing Jecki so many times already that I've lost count. Three quick stabs to make sure she's dead so Dafne can go work on Deadpool and Wolverine. 😂 One stab wasn't enough to kill the Grand Inquisitor, Reva, or Sabine. And even though the identity of Smilo Ren was so obvious, when we see his face after he killed Jecki was really cool. I guess Jecki had to elbow his helmet off just to have an unveiling like that. The Sith kebab scene was just a flex before Manny truly flexed. 💪🏻
Charlie from Emergency Awesome has a theory that Qimir was present during the Brendok fire. It seems Qimir already met Sol before but Sol does not remember him. And it's not referring to when they met in Ep. 2. Like Qimir knew Sol from way before and maybe that's when his hatred for the Jedis originated. Theories that Qimir might have been Sol's padawan prior. Notice the burn marks on Qimir's arms. I thought they were tattoos at first but they look like burn marks.
On my second viewing, I notice the marking on his back matches the marking on the tree to the right. This is when Qimir sees Osha on the ground. So the early theories is Mae becomes a Jedi and Osha becomes the Acolyte. I personally hope they don't kill off Qimir but they might. He can be useful for future shows. Be the pioneer of the Knights of Ren. We need more Sith happening in our lives. I came to watch The Acolyte for the Sith. That's the original synopsis we read from it about 4-5 years ago. I didn't come to watch it for Jedis and lesbian witch covens.
"I accepted my darkness. What have you done with yours?"
Smilo Ren: the greatest Sith I've ever seen in the Disney era. But then he kinda let's Sol beat him in hand-to-hand combat to show Sol's darkness and to help Osha turn.
While The Acolyte is NOT great, I am grateful that Disney let a Filipino actor (Asian Ezra Miller as some call him) be a Sith and an instant fan favorite. My Filipinos can finally be more than just being Ned in MCU Spider-Man. Eugene Cordero as Casey in Loki. Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth. Manny Jacinto as Qimir/nameless Sith. Filipinos are finally moving on up! 🇵🇭
So I was looking at some SW toys yesterday and while I know how much people hate The Rise of Skywalker and The Acolyte, I actually would love a toy of Babu Frik and Bazil. I think Bazil looks adorable. He reminds me of my mom's dog. And I love Babu Frik going heyheyy! 🤣 While The Last Jedi is actually the better movie, I enjoyed The Rise of Skywalker thanks to characters like Babu Frik and D-O. I hope Keri Russell returns in some capacity as Zorii Bliss. Keri is prettier when she reached her 40s than her 20s.
The Sequel Trilogy and Disney+ SW series are hated now. But maybe in another 15-20 years, a new generation raised by it will grow to love it like what happened to the Prequels. We still got Andor from it. And The Mandalorian S1 and S2. Hasn't been all that terrible. If we get Abeloth, that might be the character we need for Star Wars to make a great comeback.
What I'm looking forward to in SW -
Andor S2
Abeloth in Ahsoka S2
Dawn of the Jedi
Done. Don't really care about the Skeleton Crew but it could surprise and be fun. Don't care about the next Rey movie unless they add more interesting characters. Lukewarm for the Mandalorian & Grogu movie. Give me Andor S2, Abeloth, and Mangold's SW movie.

I didn’t even subscribe for acolyte; Ashoka was the last time they get cash for trash
(2:04) "Yeah… Ki Adi Mundi… he's in on it". Master Mundi, along with Qimir, were two of Plagueis' seven acolytes. Mundi worked from the inside like Dooku, subtly sowing mistrust top-down in the Temple. When Plagueis was killed, Mundi had been abandoned for Palpatine, and the coneheaded master melted into the background... until the troopers melted him in Order 66.
Plagueis showing up in the end to briefly (& easily) kick Qimir’s ass would be cinema 👏🏽
“Jedi might call me a sith” and “im a sith” are different
Walks like a duck, sounds like a duck. The Jedi would still call him a Sith
Sith is what you do, not what you identify as. A man can be a Sith without even knowing anything about the Sith history. If you adhere to the philosophy of the Sith, their quest for power, their code and their use of the dark side of the Force, you are a Sith whether you like it or not. Smilo Ren is a Sith to a certain degree no matter what he tells himself.

Phantom Menace itself fucks with its own lore when Yoda reveals that he's aware of the Rule of Two at Qui-Gon's funeral. There's no way the Jedi could possess that knowledge without knowing that some Sith had survived at Russan, meaning they'd know that the Sith had not, in fact, been "extinct for a millennia."
I feel like we need to accept that George wrote some throwaway lines for bit characters that aren't actually very important to the integrity of the entire franchise. The Acolyte doesn't need the keep the existence of one guy calling himself a Sith in order to make sense, it just needs to keep the Jedi in the dark regarding the fact that there's an unbroken lineage going back to Darth Bane. They can write Qimir off as a freak incident. Or perhaps there will be a cover-up. Who knows. This is the era where Jedi hubris would likely be at it's absolute peak, so we'll see how they decide to play it.
To be fair, we are talking about a Jedi council, who , according to the show and comics, have allowed Jedi to take a Barash vow WITH A LIGHTSABER. Kirak Infil'a in the comics was just off in a random place with his lightsaber. They let Kelnacca just leave to a random outer rim planet with his lightsaber. At this point, anyone who just says "I don't want to be a jedi anymore" can just leave, with all their training and their weapons. If anyone in this series survives and just tries to hide from the council, I'd buy it.

Actually, the timeline fits more for Darth Tenebrous, doesn't it?
Following legends lore, acolyte is around when Plagueis is a kid, but around the time Tenebrous killed his master.
It would be cool to see Tenebrous as well, because we know almost nothing about him, even in legends, amd the time just fits beautifully.
I made myself a theory that this was Tenebrous' first apprentice, but he doesn't care really about the sith legacy, tries to take an apprentice, but almost reveals themselves to the jedi, they take him prisonare, but Tenebrous somehow manages to free him, cover everything up (*)and then kills him for being an idot, so goes to take Plagueis as an apprentice.
*My idea was Tenebrous tells his apprentice to say that he isn't a sith amd was just bloating, but rather trained himself in the dark side because he resented the jedi, for whatever reason, and is just a dark forc user, but he wished to be a real sith.
Plaguies MAY just salvage this show ngl

I think the ONLY way Ki Adi Mundi gets off not being a liar, is that Smilo Ren kills all the jedi involved, and Sol never tells the others that Smilo is a sith. Then it gets chalked down to as a 'mystery' long ago, which Ki Adi Mundi doesn't piece together as being a sith encounter
If memory serves, plagueis got through all of tenebrous list of potential replacements for plagueis to scout for his own apprentice and each and every one proved lacking, but Palpatine was a happy coincidence I think plz correct me if I'm wrong. He may be one those force sensitive beings that tenebrous trained to secure (as he thought) the sith grand plan 🤷🏻♂️
When I see the Acolyte and compare the Darth Maul fight vs Obi Wan & Kenobi. It's like apples and oranges; music, choreography, sets (Acolyte looks so fake). and we talking 1999 in a sound stage in Sydney, Australia! It's a travesty with Disney.
I know Disney doesn't really give a fuck about the timeline, legends or otherwise, but wouldn't the active sith lord at the time be darth Tenebrous, Plagueis' master? In legends, I believe he was around until about 65 BBY.
On a related note, I recently ran a bit of a thought experiment. I have only really been watching videos ABOUT the Acolyte, but I wonder how easy it would be to write a better version of the story, that would actually be lore friendly, here's my take on this:
During the time of the Acolyte, the active sith lord in the galaxy was Darth Tenebrous. As many other sith lords, darth Tenebrous conducted a series of experiments in service of the grand plan, among them a failed experiment to create a virus that severs one's connection to the force. At the moment of his death, he attempted to possess his apprentice, darth Plagueis, but failed; his ultimate scheme had been to eventually possess the chosen one as a child, as they would be unable to resist.
Also side note: his public persona was as a fabulously wealthy spaceship designer. And he also broke the rule of two, by training his (likely) son along with Plagueis.
With that in mind, I could totally see darth Tenebrous, not having the patience to wait for the force to naturally produce the chosen one. In typical dark side fashion, he may have wanted to create an artificial chosen one, which he would be easily able to possess. To do so, he might then establish a cult of dark side users, though not sith apprentices. He would deliberately give them twisted information, so that they would never be able to challenge him, only feeding them truth when it suited his goals. The colony would be all women, as it would prevent any false-positives, in the form of natural conception and would provide the most potential hosts for this artificial chosen one.
This colony of witches would know neither of his personas, not his public one as a starship architect and not his true identity as darth Tenebrous; instead, he would craft a third identity specifically for the purpose of the colony, as their mythical messiah and founder. Not wanting his apprentices to potentially steal his project, he would keep the colony secret. Another benefit of giving them twisted teachings, is that if found by the jedi, they wouldn't immediatly be recognised as sith, but may be seen as a simple native group of force users with dark-side tendencies.
When the twins are born, darth Tenebrous arrives, only to find that they are both girls. This is not actually an issue, as changing one's gender for power, doesn't seem like it would be an issue for the sith; but given that darth Tenebrous believes he has all the time in the world, he might decide to wait for a more preferable male host to be born and observe these first specimens; as it would still be entirely possible for their bodies to fail, which would be inconvenient for long time use. As previously established, he is keeping the colony a secret from his apprentices, so he decides to leave them in the care of the witches and leaves again, this would prove disastrous, as the jedi would soon discover the colony.
In this version of events, one girl does actually get taken by the jedi, but the other doesn't fucking burn the place to the ground. Instead darth Tenebrous returns to the colony and is horrified to learn that one of the twins were taken by the jedi and enraged at the witches for allowing it. Partially as a punishment and partially out of fear that the jedi will return and learn of his existence, he slaughters all of the witches and burn their bodies to hide lightsaber wounds. He then brings the other twin with him and either using the force or some other method, he alters her memories, so she believes the jedi killed the witches and took her sister.
To darth Tenebrous' great frustration, the girl is actually exhibiting incredible potential with the force, so it is clear she would be a viable host. The issue is that the jedi order now know of her existence and she has a twin inside the order; due to this, he can't even make her an apprentice, as she would never be able to continue the grand plan from the shadows. With little other use for her, he trains her as a dark side user, specialized in assasination, but doesn't teach her to make or use a lightsaber. The plan he tells her, is that she will kill all of the jedi who visited the colony and rescue her sister who has been brainwashed by them. His actual goal, is to kill all witnesses to the colony, including both sisters.
This is where the story would actually start, once again having the evil twin try to assasinate a jedi. Only in this version, not being a dumbass, she starts off by attacking a recently knighted jedi. She does fight him in the open, but only does so to test her strength and otherwise plans to try and use subterfuge. After killing her first target, she steals their lightsaber.
From here, I don't really have a concrete idea of where to take the story, but given that the secret of the sith needs to be kept for lore reasons, it seems obvious that all the jedi involved have to die. The big plot twist I want to introduce, is that the twins are actually faulty. They have potential with the force far greater than the average jedi, but their bodies are unstable and break down when using the force; this causes the evil twin's health to gradually deteriorate as the story goes on. The evil twin eventually turns against darth Tenebrous, when she learns the truth, either of how the witches died, or of what he plans to do with her and her sister. The story's climax could be something similar to the one in the original trilogy, with the evil twin having killed all the jedi and brought her sister before darth Tenebrous. Only in this story, both sisters end up fighting him. Tenebrous should be an absolute beast to fight, but with two artificial chosen-ones fighting together, they can just barely hold on. I feel like the good twin has to die in the fight, as she would undoubtedly report everything to the order; with that in mind, the good twin would sacrifice herself during the battle, giving the evil twin to turn the tide of the battle. By the end of the battle, darth Tenebrous will be presumed dead, possibly having a ceiling caved on him and the evil twin will have a bittersweet moment, seeing a vision of her sister extending her hand and her taking it, as her body finally breaks down from using the force too much.
Darth Tenebrous does ultimately survive however, though he will be mained. He sends out an emergency signal to his apprentices, who arrive at the scene. They almost end up leaving him for dead and fighting over his seat, but ultimately decide that they still have too much to learn from him, to allow him to die just yet. The show ends with darth Tenebrous reflecting on the events that have transpired inside of his healing pod, how close the twins came to seriously damaging the grand plan and how he and his apprentices must take great care not to underestimate the power of the light side of the force.
So anyways, that was my pitch for an alternative version of the Acolyte. I should once again stress that I have not and will not be watching it. This was entirely an experiment to see what could be done with the concept, while staying within the boundaries of the Legends canon.

None of them can know that the Sith are alive anyways, Mae is def going to kill Seoul before they get to Coruscant and that means no jedi are left and Mae and they might say Osha are force wielding murders who used Kelnacca's light saber to kill the other Jedi for what Seoul and the gang were hiding about the coven but Maes reason is because if they never came then the Coven would still be there and they'd be a happy family.
This came to me as I was typing, they might even blame Seoul also for the dead Jedi because look how many times its noted how conflicted it is and it is against the Jedi way and that he and Osha and Mae, the three of them killed the Jedi while they're backs were turned (crime scene of Kelenack in his chair). Mae kills Seoul to finish her hit list but then comes back to the "Sith" and although he wasn't meant to have his identity shown, I think they were both in on turning Osha to the dark side, because he left Seoul alive knowing he could get away and tell, while he didn't let anyone else alive and also Mae. But again, guess who shes with and who's the last on her list?

or sifo dyas dies over oba diahs moon, the jedi didnt investigate it until years after when plo koon discovered his lightsaber. jedi dying mysteriously is nothing new.
If Palpatine was in the show, and looked at that guy with the helmet, he would surely say ''you will now be known as DAFT Vader''.
love how he is so sure that they are dead as if it would be the first time a lightsaber doesnt kill xD
Hay Theory, I'm not sure if Darth Plagueis will be a correct choice here. The book Plagueis was quite vague on the timings but it didnt felt like long time passed between Plagueis getting Darth Tenebrous crushed by rocks in that cave and later meeting Palpatine for the first time (like only few years). Considering we know how old was Palpatine ,that event is 50+ years from this show.
More like the period of Darth Tenebrous and probably Plagueis as apprentice. It will also make scene to be Darth Tenebrous because he did had "alternatives" to Plagueis ,considering he actually had to fight one of them and later use him as lab rate.
i think anakin will show up, it’s not the first time they show someone that hasn’t been born yet lol
Ki-Adi Mundi is the Sith they have been looking for. Back when Maul is killed in 1999, Mace says, "There's no doubt the mysterious warrior was a Sith.". To me, he said that because they found Maul's corpse at the bottom of that pit before it was retconned an then he was revealed to have survived in the comics and then in the Clone Wars series. I actually don't mind that Maul survived but that line no longer made sense to me.
I would love to see @StarWarsTheory to watch “has THE ACOLYTE ruined Star Wars” by screen crush. First 6 minutes had me fuming!
Would be crazy if they put the blame on Kelnacca by how the saber was cut in half and left in the dirt and also how wooks are tend to be seen as violent
Darth tenebrous had a second apprentice alongside plagueis. Darth venomous. He went AWOL learning tenebrous plans for him. Plagueis ultimately cuts him down.
