Great list. I believe it's the 1st ever without Traxxas, making it that much better. I have the element ecto trail truck, will I be disappointed with the ascent ? Thanks
I think you'll be stoked with the Ascent. It's next-level for Redcat.
Traxxas is a good company but they have offer better value IMHO. Also, new version of the ESC or another 'High Trail' edition is not going to cut it with current competition and economy.
That's what i needed to know, thanks.
@@RCReviewChannelGlad that I will buy the TRX-4 anyway.
I think the Big Rock 6s is one I’d like to get also. Great picks!!🎉
For sure! The runner up list is here:
RC4WD Chevy K10
Losi 1/18 Mini LMT
Arrma Big RockFMS FJ45 1/10
Vanquish Fordyce
Cen Racing M-Sport Rally car
Axial SCX24 Power Wagon
I’ve enjoyed my Promoto for 6 months now. I was one of the lucky first shipment buyers. Being a lifelong m/c owner, this is the most realistic, yet fun r/c’s I’ve ever had! Airplanes, drones, and crawlers have been on the shelf for the most part. The maintenance is almost as much fun. It’s realistic too! Nice video!
The SCX10 CJ7 is more of a release for the shareholders of Horizon Hobby. It's gorgeous but there's no way it will get in stores before Christmas.
There’s no way we’ll be able to play with one this year :)
The Arrma Gorgon and the Losi Pro Moto are the two real monsters here. Both are great examples of how to do it right in one way or another. I should finally get one of those Pro Moto's but it takes away from my drift budget :D
Game changers
Thanks for yet another great video! I'm surprised that the Grom wasn't on the list but, there are so many rcs that are really good.
I feel like this list was crawler heavy. Would like to see a top road car pick & I think the new LMT 1:18 deserves a look.
Most definitely.
Much appreciated 👍
You are most welcome.
Excellent list I’m not really interested in the Losi Moto but it’s super cool I love the Mojave 4s & the New SCX 3 Jeep those two I don’t have but I will. I have the Fury & the FMS & they blew my mind they have the feel of a 1:10 scale crawling. I’m definitely getting the Vanquish chassis as well but the first thing on my list as of right now is the Axial Jeep.
Good choice! You’re a lucky man
I enjoyed your list. I think everyone has an opinion about what they would put on their list. I think yours is a good one. I think it's interesting how Redcat has moved up in the RC world.
Thank you. Yes, Redcat seems to be getting better with every release.
@@RCReviewChannel They had one of the best Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales with 20% off everything. I sort of regret not taking advantage of it.
Where would you rate the vanquish phoenix in the crawler overall category?
I really enjoy my CEN Ford Puma Rally1, so I was surprised not to see it here!
That is very high on the runner up list
Nice!
Please tell me where the hoodie came from for rider of one of those Promoto's
MST 2.5 soooo much fun💯💯🔥
DO A REVIEW ON THE RGT RESCUER!!!!
Awesome list ...but i feel like the vanquish products Phoenix rtr should be on it
Great point! That's definitely in the short runner-up list. It was bumped down a bit by the presence of the Vanquish VRD Carbon. I just hope they come up with a VRD RTR
@@RCReviewChannel I really don't see the point in taking something that's high performance and sticking medium to low performance electronics in it . Think of it like buying a Ferrari but then putting the engine out of a Chevy Malibu in it. It may look the part but it can't perform the part .
I think there are many, many rc'ers interested in LCG, high performance crawlers. If someone can get an rtr out there under $500, the market can be huge!! Under $900, smaller.
The big sales are in the mid-priced complete systems. Allow the customer to get going to a 95% level and let them learn and upgrade what's important to them.
The kind of guy looking for a truck like this is also looking to build it . The right way. And it be worse if Axial made the pro RTR ... You get 2 problems in 1 ESC receiver combo,a cheap brushed motor and servos that are well known to burn themselves up . Probably best to leave the rtr "comp " crawler to redcat
@@RCReviewChannel I am old school I guess lol 90% of the fun is the building and shopping for the parts. Lol I also tend not buy rtr,s ...as I have found it cost more to upgrade a rtr and I still have to take it apart to install said upgrade. So for me kit,s make more sense when going for all out performance. It saves me time and a bunch of stuff I may not want or be able to resell.
The only thing I would like for Christmas is to know, if @RCReviewChannel was me would he purchase the Vanquish VRD or Axial SCX10 pro? And what would he purchase for beautiful and more than capable RTR Trail Crawler? Something for myself and the wife.
Vanquish VRD for sure. And wait a little bit since they have this amazing tires, body and the works now so I wouldn't be surprised if they released and rtr version soon.
@@RCReviewChannel Thank you so much Francis for the reply. Wishing you and your family the very best this Holiday season
The vrd is way better than the pro.. better quality of parts.
You bring up a good point there. VRD is more dialed. Gotta hand it to the SCX10 Pro thought for being way ahead of everyone in offering an LCG kit.
@@RCReviewChannel I agree the scx10 pro is a first and a good truck...but you got to spend extra cash to get to the vrd,s level out of the box . While same cash spent on the vrd makes it the better option for out of box performance.
No, traxass on this list is great
Yeah, new ESC or another 'High Trail' edition is not quite enough with this level of innovation and competition.
@@RCReviewChannelwith those standards Traxxas hasn't qualified since the TRX 6 hauler and even that is just a stretched, rebodied trx g63. Seriously, what was the last actual new car Traxxas made? TRX 4m or sport? Does Anyone know?
They lost their TRX4 chief engineer and others due to bad working environment i hear.
I was right there with you until number 1. Also the Arrma Bigrock and 8s EXB rtr Kraton and Outcast would be on my list. The Promoto would not. Possibly after the new wears off and the price drops a couple hundred bucks. Traxxas better wake up and get to work. Those dinky little 2s releases won't cut it in today's market.
Good point. The Mojave and that whole 4s line represented the Arrma bashers well.
Traxxas for sure was disapointing this year. Offering another High Trail and updating an extinct ESC is nor quite worthy of their brand.
And shutting out all online sales of TRX4m so they can have exclusive direct sales does not help the consumers or the industry.
A bit disappointed by the list in general. But even worst not having driven de CJ7! This is nothing you would do in the past. Too bad you cut corners,…..😢 Please buy and review it asap! 🎉
On order for sure! Would have been crime not to include it. Only issue is they have to come in stock in 2023
@@RCReviewChannel Good to read and was exaggerating, really love your channel. Already had so much useful info from you. Thanks!
