Hey! There’s been a little discourse regarding my edits recently. I’m a little sensitive and have been letting the negative comments get to me. Some enjoy my edits and some don’t. That’s okay. I’m consistently working on trying to find a good balance, but it can be very difficult. It’s easier said than done. I want my videos to be easier to watch for those who don’t have time to watch a 6 hour vod. I’ve maintained the same editing style for the past few years , but I think that Genshin quests have gotten longer (and better) so people feel differently about the way it’s edited. I understand I got a little carried away with the cuts in this video. I will continue to work on finding that balance. Please be kind, though. I’m not a professional and I do this for fun. I love expressing myself through these videos. I hope to do better and improve in the future.
I watch your archon quest videos after completing the quests myself. Sometimes on my touchscreen I accidentally forward the dialogue too quickly. These videos are a nice replay resource. Your editing seems to retain the salient passages. Thank you 🙂
After playing the quest I always tend to fast forward on playthroughs to watch reactions to the most important parts, and your edits achieve that! Amazing video as always
honestly i think you canpost the vod as is. It would be less work for you too. I have watched other VODs of people too but i don't watch the entire thing. I just skip to the interesting parts and watch that. But at least if there is a particular part that i want to see the creator's reaction to, i can just go there and see it. So at least I have the choice. I mean i appreciate your edit since i can watch it while working without having to fast forward every now and then but there were some select scennes where i wanetd to see your reaction as a creator but were cut out. Its just my opinion and obviously you don't ahve to follow it. Just sharing an opinion that i hope won't trigger ya. Anyways, i did enjoy the video! Your reactions are quite genuine and hoenstly very adorable sometimes XD
I think reactions to trailers and demos can remain uncut, which confused me a lot at the beginning. Other video sequences within the story should also remain uncut. Reaction mashups could also fall back to you. :) I had already looked at a few reactions for 4.2, but in the end I only look at the highlights. So that's ok for long questlines for me.

Like you said its just for fun. Don't let them ruin your fun! It really doesn''t matter at all what other people think if it's just for fun. People being mad is actually a good sign as weird as it seems. People do not get mad over things they do not like/care about. Just remember how great your life is and how their comments can't change that! (There is always some greatness in everyone's life).

I did the same thing, Ganyu is my best built character and I've been using her forever and want to change mains but it's so much work to make another character as good as my Ganyu.

@@airstyles1989 Apocalypse was the peak of Hi3 for me, despite having issues with world building. ER had too many problems hiding behind that emotional rollercoaster it brought. Completely useless chapters 1-3 (the devs knew that as well since they let players skip them entirely), a mystery wannabe writing during Vill-V's arc leading players to useless information that brought nothing to the table in order for the said mystery to be solved, lack of concrete reasoning to support the plot of "hiding a truth" for the players to discover, just to be met with a big reveal where the main character of the show is just "insecure about her identity". Hi3 has been playing too much with philosophies that they've forgotten how to create a physically meaningful plot which affects and be affected by the world.
I'm currently playing Finality chapters. So far it's done a little better at the very least, but I'm worried about how much concepts they're suddenly introducing just for the sake of a single encounter they have to go through. Instead of answering questions, the concepts they introduced added more questions that needs to be answered. Want to solve a problem? Easy, let's just make it so that the Herrscher's can suddenly do this and that, because why not. It's quite a destructive way of writing. When spiders build rings of their webs, there is a point to stop. Because the more you continue building outwards, the bigger the holes are. That's why it's important to set a boundary first and then build inwards, so that instead of creating more holes, you patch them up. I'll just play along to see where this goes.
Sorry for the rant, I've a little too much free time.
It will, each region have their own theme, so we will always feel the new one better. (except the writing return to inazuma writing)
Definitely since now they are starting to do longer archon quest, plus we know capitano is definitely appearing and we know he's the "strongest human" in teyvat, with the archon named murata too, hoyo has so much potential to make natlan their next big hit after fontaine

Was it confirmed at all in any official channels? Like, actual official confirmation.
Natlan is supposed to be based on Spanish/Central America, so having an Archon name Murata just... Doesn't add up.
Surely this is not another popular rumor that gone out of control. Like how Ayaka's the actual Inazuma Archon, or Ningguang's the real Geo Archon, or Baizhu's the real Dendro Archon hiding in Liyue looking for Immortality (Yes, this was a popular theory) or Neuvilette being the real Hydro Archon.
Something about the name "Murata Himeko" and "Spanish/Mayan" origin Natlan just doesn't mix for me.
The scene with Melus and Silver hit me extra hard my husband and I just lost our two best friends 6 months apart and when I tell you this made me sob 😭

I loved this video!!! And this quest lol, but it was really fun to see your reaction to it. I also DO appreciate the little edits you make a lot. Everyone’s experience of the game is different, and seeing your specific POV is always a treat. Also, people heavily underestimate how much work goes into editing a quest this massive down into a CZcams video!! It’s a huge undertaking, and I think you do a good job with it. It’s a tough balancing act to cut the quest down and highlight moments where your reactions were interesting, but also keep enough of the overall arc and pacing that the video doesn’t feel disjointed.
the climactic cutscene has such a strong final fantasy ending vibe, it's hard not to get emotional. when the day finally comes to genshin's story finishing we're all going to be emotional wrecks :')

as much as i love this quest im so happy your edits are cut down to mostly all of the good bits! theres a lot of dialogue in genshin and while it might be fun to see a 6 hour video, this feels more concise and cutting out the fluff is something i always advocate for! thanks for this! ❤

I still think it would have been a hilarious 'what-if' scenario if when Chlorinde was squaring up against Furina she whips out the Archon drip and claps Chrlorinde in a quick duel.

Easily the best character demo (I saw that Wriothesley peek cut in~) AND the best ending they've done for an Archon Quest!! I was a mess during that execution scene too...pretty much on the verge of tears :( And then they just had to throw whole ass boss and lore dump after, man. Hopefully we see a video for Furina's story quest too in the future? It was something that I felt like I HAD to check out after this quest.

The main theme of Fontaine, Le souvenir avec le crepuscule, hits different after this Archon quest.
It's the same feeling I got from Sumeru's finale, For riddles for wonders (Sumeru's theme) hits different after the Archon quest ended.

At the start of the trial, furina said "this time, i will protect you" or smthn like that. She was talking about the citizens of fontaine, referring to the previous Poisson incident and how she couldnt save them

I said this on Twitter and i'll say it again, Personally speaking, I don’t think there’s anything wrong about your video cuts, I think it all boils down to people’s expectations (especially when it comes to Genshin videos from I’m seeing) idk it feels unfair on your behalf for working so hard on a video, only to get backlash. For someone as me who’s stuggling to keep up with watching Twitch/YT Vods as is, (despite me enjoying watching 6 hour+ streams) your edited videos are really helpful in every way!
Sure there’s room for improvement, but definitely helpful for me and others that don’t have that much time on their hands!
Needless to say that You’re doing a wonderful job, always remember that there are people like myself who genuinely appreciates your videos regardless of your length, amount and what game, so as long as you’re proud of your work/content, that’s all that matters IMO!

What Furina did is what people expected an archon should be. So, if I think she's annoying It's the people of Fontaine's fault.
After Furina's story quest, she's actually a really good person
The irony is there are people who hate Furina for being "bratty" despite knowing it's all an act because they think that's not how an Archon "should" act.

Seeing only words of encouragement and destructive criticism, I feel compelled to leave some useful feedback.
I did end up liking the video overall, and the only reason I clicked on the video was because of it's length. I have watched full playthroughs before, but I ended up turning up the video's speed during certain parts and skipping past some parts entirely. You cut out most of those parts, which I appreciate. That being said, some of your cuts were extremely disorienting. For example, during Furina's trial at 41:20 your cut, while saving time, was to a moment in the trial that happens quite a few times (where furina addresses the audience). Because of this, I thought for a few seconds that you had skipped the entire rest of the trial. You didn't but where and what you cut was really important to the understanding of where one is in the VOD.
Length while good had wiggle room to be longer. My upper limit for shortened vods like this tends to be half the length of what I expect this quest to take for most people. From looking at youtube videos and my own experience, this length is 2 hours and 30 odd minutes.
In conclusion, you had some room to leave in a few more scenes to better guide the viewer both what was going on in the game and the journey in your understanding of what was going on. With this level of cuts, some details will of course be lost. Try better to see if you can show more of those parts that clue in to what you found the most important in your understanding of what was going on.
Otherwise was a solid video, definitely try again in the future. I'll probably check it out if it's recommended to me.

@@SarahKey If I had to figure out how to learn how long to make the video or cut it out. I would intentionally make a video "too long" and look at where people skip to to figure out what people find generally skippable.
This won't satisfy everyone, especially at first, but it's a game of polish, polish, polish. It take a lot of refining to learn the technique.
That’s essentially what I do already, but I appreciate the feedback. It’s a lot easier said than done for sure.

Hey Sarah, not trying to sound negative but not everyone has a twitch, also twitch views don't last all that long. Have you ever thought about putting those twitch streams on CZcams or making a second channel fit those of us who want to see the full playthrough/your full reactions? This could help take away the negativity.
I get recommended this a lot and I don't find it negative at all. It's a valid suggestion and I understand it completely. It's possible that in the future I will create a VOD channel, but I currently am already spreading myself very thin. It would add another layer of things I have to do / remember. I do have someone who helps me highlight my VODs on Twitch so they don't disappear and you can watch without an account.
Another reason is with all the hard work I put into my videos it feels like it takes away from that if I just create a VOD channel. I hope that makes sense.
@SarahKey understandable, I'm sure you know that plenty of people do what I suggested, and I can only imagine the stress that could create, so I will leave it at that.
