Hey guys so a lot of heated comments on Gemini so I wanted to chime in. Gemini's partner GENESIS went bankrupt on the "earn" product. They were sued by the SEC for it, they took it down and the funds are being returned to customers (again that is GENESIS, not Gemini). Gemini is operated in NYC, they're federally regulated and NYC is a very difficult state to operate crypto out of unless you're compliant. While I think it's fair to criticize my investments, I don't agree in attacking my character. Please do your own research. If you don't like something, please don't use it, and for god's sake - don't put your life savings into it. Investing is risky. Hope that clears it up.
Anything to get that payday huh?
I think Swan Bitcoin would be a better company to promote for viewers to DCA into since they only do Bitcoin and advocate users to hold it in their own wallets offline. I can't recall hearing any past controversy about them that will have viewers complaining about your sponsor choices.
You can Graham advertised way too many scam businesses at this point to get the benefit of the doubt. You are not trustworthy. Go away.
Why promote Gemini after they robbed so many people of their money and locked customers funds!!?
Coffeezila called him out on a similar matter but he didn't respond
I had the same thought. I like Andrei but don't understand why he would choose money over his followers and promote Gemini. I signed up through his affiliate link years ago.
At the end of the day he does this to make money, he doesn't care about any of you.
@@curtfromcanada6988 My point remains true though. If he only cared about money, he'd want to keep viewers around to continue buying through him. I'm doubtful that will happen after so many of his viewers lost $$$ through Gemini, yet he continues to promote them.
bc Gemini throwin him the bag why the fuk else lmao. if you blindly open a Gemini account on this guy's say so and lose money that's your own fault for not doin your own research first. 🤷🏽♂️
8:09 didn’t you say you would NEVER have any other new sponsors ???
Money>Morals & Ethics
To be fair they are federally regulated unlike some previous sponsors
Had to makeup for lost opportunity cost with Fundrise lol
@@JakeAoTK i am not criticizing that. Just that I thought he said that he would never do that again. Maybe I am making a mistake
I believe Meet Kevin said that. Gemini is based in NYC, which is an EXTREMELY difficult state to operate crypto out of unless you're federally compliant. They've had issues with their partner Genesis (they're in litigation with them), but Gemini itself is a platform I personally use. I do NOT keep my Bitcoin online though, regardless of which exchange
Funny thing is "fundrise" is an anagram of "fundirse", which in spanish means to lose everything 😅
😂😂😂😂😂 Clever
It means merge in spanish?? Tf you mean
@@jaker9040 yep, means that too, but not in this context
Doesn't mean this at all 😂😂😂 stop sprayin' bs, and joker you're wrong as well, this kinda mean "melting" most used in forgery domain (and for the youtube hater that knows it all, i'm spanish, from spain, not mexican, not argentinian.... this is the the only way i heard it since i was born)
@@0xFi. spraying bs? Vaya a dormir onda vital, claramente te está faltando calle.
Andri not Gemini, still waiting for my Gemini earn money to be recovered. They did a great job vetting Genesis. Also fees are way too high.
I have succeeded in getting mine back, I never waited for any of their promises having known they're all empty promises. I reported to to higher authority and I was helped get my money back..did you report to internet crime complaint center?
I personally use Gemini, I never used their earn product but otherwise I don't see any issues with them. Of course, do your own research please
@@AndreiJikh I should have doing more research, I own it. I learned if someone is giving you a return there has to be a risk associated with it. Would love a video on any updates on your BlockFi account or voyager if you had one.
I'd love to give an update on that, I think the internet is in "mob state" still judging by people's responses to Gemini
PS: the fees are minimal on the advanced trading platform, which is the one I use
I don’t really think it’s fair to include the early withdraw fee as part of your loss because you signed up knowing it’s illiquid, so you can plan to reduce funding or withdraw funds out over time.
In terms of opportunity cost, sure, but as interest rate is more likely to come down than to keep increasing, one can make the argument that there is also opportunity to keep the fund and let your portfolio appreciate and stabilize over time?
I think those are good points! I wouldn't be surprised if Fundrise appreciate substantially over the next few years with lower rates, but personally I could use the money for something else
Spot on ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sometimes, we win, and sometimes, we learn. That's the whole game of investing.
Yes!
Yeah, the ending is the only accurate part. Fundrise did real estate. You have to compare to other real estate investments. They did great over the same time frame. To compare to other crap that is unrelated is meaningless. That's like saying I invested in SPY, but it sucked because TSLA did better. They are unrelated.
Also, this is super fake since I started investing at a similar time and have way better returns than he indicates. Straw man.
@@InfiniteQuest86 Yeah I've started my own account. I like to experience things for myself
Can you make a video on how to withdraw money from Fundrise?
I don't think I can make an entire video on it, but I believe you can initiate a transfer out and email them about it
Just go to frequency question , is so simple
"I do magic tricks in my videos." Very true. 😂
Clicked immediately cause I have Fundrise also
Oof
Same...😢
I would pull your money out asap and just buy an index fund if you don’t know what to do with your money. Andre even showed the proof himself.
@@stevecha3612 I agree I don’t have a lot so I’m willing to leave it there 🤣
My experience with fundirse ❤❤❤ amazing. Invesment is a long time game. People
How you can advertise Gemini if they filed for bankruptcy?
They did not file for bankruptcy, it was their partner Genesis who is returning the money. Gemini is federally regulated out of NYC, I use them to buy my Bitcoin, and then I move them off the exchanges. Please do your own research
Sponsor from Gemini? Didn’t they lose customer funds
No, Genesis lost money, their exchange is fine
Do REITS increase housing prices driving first time home buyers out of the market?
Probably would have been better just going with Realty Income, or Franklin Income Fund.
I own a decent amount of Realty Income, so far so good!
Is there a riskier/levered version of this? For someone who's looking to allocate less capital into real estate?
I use Fundrise and Ground floor. I only needed to start with ten bucks each
@@Dr_Y_Woo Keyword: leverage
I've been waiting for this!
Good old days, looking forward to get back on track with my DCA on Fundrise and the Hood
This brings up another promotional question. Did you invest with sweater? Do you plan to do a review of that investment if you made one?
Not again Andre, shillin an exchange?
Gemini is a solid company based in NYC, which is an EXTREMELY difficult state to operate crypto out of unless you're compliant. They've had issues with their partner Genesis (they're in litigation with them), but Gemini itself is a platform I personally use. I do NOT keep my Bitcoin online though, regardless of which exchange
Thank you for doing this, very useful!
I came really close to playing with Fundrise but I decided to wait and see how this played out; especially since real estate was really weird. Commercial real estate has been in a real tough spot, Covid, free money.....yeah was nervous about it.
Their main fund is mainly single family rental communities and multifamily. Much better place to be than commercial
Yea commercial real estate is supposedly not going to do well in the next few years with all the refinances. It would have been nice for my fundrise account to have shifted when rates went up but - oh well!
I was wondering, if you like Fundrise, why you didn’t leave a little bit in there?
What about sweater?
Still waiting on my Gemini funds to be returned 😢
Stop waiting for them, they'll not do anything. It's in your hands to get your money back, get every information/proof and file a claim with higher authority against them to get help. Mine has been returned, did you report to internet crime complaint?
It should be returned according to the lawsuit's resolve. Please don't keep your money on the exchanges. I personally do NOT stake or lend my crypto, I learned my lesson
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I started Fundrise 2020 I think towards the end. I'm still up. Wonder why you're losing. Maybe because I stopped contributing.
My account is over 18k. Up 10%.
ouch! so compared to the market you are getting killed.
I like when I can learn from someone else's mistakes. Thanks for taking one for the team!
No worries, thanks for watching!
I’ve had it since 2019. I’m up $6,300
That actually sounds solid! But how much was your contribution?
The man asked a question
See my response above
Groundfloor is better than Fundrise, and Swan Bitcoin is better than Gemini
I'm in the same situation as you. Barely profitable. How long did it take for you to get your money back Andrei? Thanks
It took a little over a month I believe, but I put in the request close to one of the withdrawal periods
Can you say hex and pulse? 5:50
Ditto, Andrei. I’m growing weary.
You still can’t pick what to allocate they freeze it up and take 10 months for it to “ramp up” while they collect on advisory fees
I invested 10k on their iPO, will I ever see this money again? 😢😢😢😢😢
Andrei I love your videos man! Inknow your not a big meme token guy. If you have any videos you plan to make about meme tokens, can you give your opinion of CHONK on base?
I think if I did a top 10 meme coin video it would go viral, I just don't care to do it right now
Great work Not losing your money ❤
I started my Fundrise in 2017. Cashed out in early 2022. I didn't lose anything but didn't love the return rate so I got out and just went back to a boring brokerage and put it into ETFs and called it a day. Hated how long it took to get my money out too.
Bitcoin Andre 📣💰
Doge🎉
Please actually say something about all these Gemini complaints, notice you hearted the single comment about Fundrise between allllll the comments about Gemini.
Good info 💪🏽
Appreciate it
Didnt gemini file bankruptcy last year or couple years back?
Nope, please check out the pinned comment
We hope you are doing well in real state
Can you do one in diversyfund
I almost invested in Fundrise years ago. I instead invested in a REIT in a ROTH IRA. All in all, commercial real estate has been bad timing.
Sounds more like Fundset. I can lose money all by myself. I don't need help at it.
You promote Gemini as being regulated… isn’t it not being regulated the main draw of crypto?
For some I imagine yes, for others I imagine - no. A great example of that: BlackRock's ETF is the fastest growing ETF of all time - that's regulated. There is a market there
how did u close? Wont they take 3months to close?. Horrible process they have..
That's the nature of being an illiquid private REIT, it has it's upsides and downsides
Well it’s clearly stated upfront
Glad I didn’t jump on the hype train.
Was it hype? Or just every CZcamsr advertising for them 😂
Glad I never heard this "fundrise". And never will be 😂😢😂
I don't think Fundrise was ever "hyped" to begin with. I do like them though but I'll invest elsewhere for now
Don’t worry rates about to go back down and then negative so I hope you didn’t sell
I was going to but when I saw the fees and overall projected returns.. Hard Pass…
U should invest your your money in AIRC Apt Reits
great video
Thanks!
So glad you did this video. They might not be scam but they are tricky and somewhat discreptive. Remember when your video buddy did a full video on fundrise and said it was a no go
Thanks! I think they're just a platform that offers a way to diversify into commercial real estate for people that don't have enough money to do that on their own. This could end up aging very badly as commercial real estate takes off once rates come down, and that's a personal choice I'm making with my money
I learned my lesson with other exchanges put it in a cold wallet and not leave it on their exchange
Hey!! Possible to do an update review on VeVe?
Hi! If NFTs come back around, I'd love to do an update video but spoiler alert: I still have all my holdings, I've never sold anything (of course it's not worth anywhere near what it was at the peak)
@@AndreiJikh Thank you, same here, just holding on to some of my favorites. 🙂
Groundfloor has actually done better interestingly. 🤔 It crowd funds loans to real estate flippers.
I've heard about that one but never personally used it
Andrei, I'm currently listening to the audiobook called broken money by Lynn Alden. I'm halfway through the book and it is soooo good. Please listen if you can.
Lynn Alden is so smart! I pay attention to her work
Stay away from this app
Fundrise or gemini?
Wow, it's good to know..
Hey Andrei! We've got almost exact Fundrise accounts. I opened mine in 2018 with $1000 then added most in 2021 then been adding about $1000 monthly since. Now it worth $72181 with net return $8017 or 5.2% weighted average! I had account set at "supplemental income" from start. Not great, but definitely not my worst investment lol
Hey it can be a lot worse! Congrats on 5.2%, not the worst by far but yea - S&P500 would have been a lot better
I had fundraise lost about 12% and decided to add elsewhere .
I was thinking about fundrise since I don’t have as much capital to invest in rental properties, but think I’ll hold off on fundrise
yes , for some reason Bitcoin is what I have made the most money with. Thanks for this update. Cheers Terence
There are no pockets in a shroud, Old Scottish saying.
💰
Do the art invest app.
Like to see one on Concreit
Jikh is back into crypto, wow, what a surprise, lol. How's that Block-fi sponsorship goin' for you mate?
He always is when it’s up and sponsorship money is flowing freely. When it’s down he’s all “keep it in cold storage. S&P 500 and dividends ftw.”
This platform is cryptic and will be out of business soon if they aren’t involved in a lawsuit before that happens for scamming their customers.
Hahahahaha ... broooo . 3:39 lol I started laughing so hard haha .. I paused rewinded. Played again. Paused and had to figure out what am I doing with my life ha . You are my pastor now. I will pay my tithes ha
Have you seen the Real Estate Tycoon on Shark Tank? Sounds very similar.
I haven't seen it yet!
I guarantee you’ll make AT LEAST double what you made on Fundrise by ape’ing into Jeo Boden or Doland Tremp 🤣
And you’ll only need a fraction of the $70k to do so 🤝🏼
I learned by not having it lol.
Why don’t you ever talk about Veve anymore?
It's my goal to make videos people are searching for and unfortunately no one is searching for NFTs yet - when it is, I'll give an update on it
Could have bought so much BTC at 2k a month since 2019 haha
Andrei don't be upset you didn't invest more money you invested a good amount and you have been having a good time doing it
hmmm... is this some kind of modern CDO's derived from 2008 financial crisis? I hope it's not. 😂😂😂The similarity is uncanny, but they got a better term for this "fundrise"
$75k. Net $1k. Not great, but no loss!
Technically a loss when factoring inflation
Should have just added my extras to my mutual fund 🤦🏾♂️
You just had bad luck going to try it out for myself
U can already do that. Its called a reit.
Talk about ETH
Gemini? Really bro?
Gemini is a solid company based in NYC, which is an EXTREMELY difficult state to operate crypto out of unless you're compliant. They've had issues with their partner Genesis (they're in litigation with them), but Gemini itself is a platform I personally use. I do NOT keep my Bitcoin online though, regardless of which exchange
Oh boy, here we go with the Crypto Ads again...
Hey Andrei can you do video on ECOMI or Bitforex pls?
75K!!!! 😮
Sounds like a long infomercial for Gemini.
Just a standard integration (1 minute in length)
2:36 Fun ride
There is no reason to invest any money in anything other than Bitcoin, but of course if you acknowledge that you don't need to make anymore investing video's ;)
VTI, VXUS is literally all anyone needs and then add bonds or treasuries near retirement
Yes! If people knew that, finance channels wouldn't exist lol
@@AndreiJikh can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not lmao
Fundrise how is that similar to meet Kevin's house hack?
Not sure!
Fundrise sucks I’m in the middle of taking my money out as I’ve had the same exact experience overall not a worthy return at all. I’ve invested in MFA at around the same time and although yes it originally lost value, between the growth in dividends and continually investing (DCA) I’ve averaged myself into a position where my return has been worth it. Stay clear of Fundrise all I gotta say.
I can see it being part of a diversified portfolio, and perhaps it will make a lot more money in the next few years with rates coming down, I wouldn't be surprised
Andre, I like Gemini and use them. Don’t let a loud minority dictate who sponsors your channel. Keep doing what you’re doing.
I appreciate that!
Gemini Really??? After they declared bankruptcy and locked customer funds
Making it inaccessible
That's incorrect: it was Genesis their lending partner that managed their earn product. I've never used that product. I just use Genesis to buy Bitcoin and immediately move it offline.
@@AndreiJikh and which app allowed genesis to lock up customer funds through an earn program? 🤔
I haven’t gotten a single dollar back from “genesis”
If you’re going to promote and get paid to promote the Gemini app:
You should also make a video helping the people affected by the same product you’re getting paid to promote
Any investment vehicle with the word “crowdfunding” and illiquid and available to non-accredited investors are all great signs to stay away.
Interesting, why do you say that? I've always felt like it democratized finance and made it available for everyone, not just the wealthy
@@AndreiJikh these vehicles tend to pander towards the uneducated masses with hopes of low risk and high returns, diversification, etc. IMO there are plenty of time tested ways to invest your money without having to risk some new flashy investment scheme. Although not exactly similar, LendingClub seems to rhyme with Fundrise. I’ve invested in both many years ago, before I really understood what I was doing. Luckily I got out unharmed.
Nearly every private trendy company that does this kind of business is either scamming you or going to fail
I've always felt like crowdfunding was a way to make investing accessible to everyone, not just rich people. But sure - some companies will fail, and some won't
Gemini Can't be Trusted! I still have my funds locked up in Gemini with no date on when they'll gimme back my money
I like Gemini, but I think you mean Genesis
@@AndreiJikhif Gemini does business with companies that can’t be trusted with their customer’s money, then Gemini can’t be trusted with customer’s money. Like what?
I'll stick with reits
Fundraise gets unravelled by a well rounded legend !!
Not at all, I think it's a solid product but I think I'll be investing elsewhere for now
Unsubscribe him Gemini robbed peoples money he promote
Also he promote before Blockfi and I try and I loose money
Before he talk about fundrise and I’m losing money there too
What ever he promote everything you lose your money
Well - investments do move up and down. Some days you'll make money, some days you won't. Please do your own research
