She's too slow. She can't stay in long rallies with Trevisan going wide and wide. She arrives at the ball consistently late and cannot get the racquet face caught up to the ball with sufficient headspeed to create enough rpms on the ball. Loss of rpms causes the ball to go long, not overhitting. Not enough spin, the ball doesn't come down fast enough. But take pace off and push the ball, and Trevisan hits angles and Naomi gets taken apart.
A left handed player produces more spin on the ball than a right handed. Martina was producing a very low spinballs, wich made it difficult for Osaka to bend her knees and go low under the ball and thats why we saw almost every ball from Osaka flying out. Osaka its not the best mover on clay, she is a better hard court mover. Its the same as when serena played on clay, she was always scared to move around on clay bcz her body was to heavy that was very scared to slip and a bad movement could break or twist her legs.

@alfredohedman1323 What you said was that her body was too heavy, and she was afraid she would injure herself on clay. You don't win a grueling two week event if you're afraid or too heavy. Was it her best surface? Perhaps not, but not for those specific reasons
I noticed since Osaka retured her matches have been in the other players favor. Its like shes not putting in the effort anymore. But she's still a good player.
