Man this was a devastating loss. If you had to pick one track to define 90s nyc hip hop it would be mobb deep - shook ones pt 2, no disrespect to biggie or jay-z but they have alot of commercial hits and that really aint what nyc was about, and prodigy didn't make those kind of tracks. he was unapologetic this is us take it or leave it and that is what i liked about him.
even wu tang's cream which is obviously a top ten all-time track doesn't give you quite as much feel as survival of the fittest or shook ones.
