@colinlarson9656 cool story But has nothing to do with a woman laughing and having fun and the girl flipping out and canceling a show. The lady didn't ruin anything, the girl character was beyond rude to cancel the show. This is why woman shouldn't have power. They react off feelings and emotions.
I know it's probably policy to cancel, but they should have escorted the lady out and trespass her. And tell the parents that they will re start the show, not cancel the show for good. Stupid adults are always ruining everything for the innocent kids. 🙄
I used to work Security at Disneyland, and yes, we would remove her from the park. Depending on how bad the infraction was, they sometimes get taken away by Anaheim PD. In this case, she would be removed from the park and the stamp an invisible mark on her hands that won't allow here to return to the park. The ink lasts three days, you can't see it though, we could though. ;-) The cast would also make sure everyone is safe, report the incident to Security, re-group and do another show later.
There has been cases of actors getting groped and touched without their permission. Touching a cast member during a performance IS NOT ALLOWED. It puts the cast on edge and they have to shut the show down bc they don’t know what else is going to happen. Its a safety thing. This woman could get charged with assault. Please stop touching strangers for “a joke” its not a joke and it’s teaching kids that boundaries don’t matter.
Yeah, idk about all that. This lady shouldn’t be running around touching people, but being on edge? A little common sense can figure out and access who would be a danger and who wouldn’t. A lady thinking she’s doing something funny is not a danger. A creep, creeping up from behind with malicious intent is different. Plus, these aren’t A-list actors, musicians, or comedians who have to worry about crazed lunatic fans coming after them. They’re in a theme park. Not saying what she did was ok, she should be escorted out. But cancelling the show? Just let security remove her and continue on for the kids. I was a singer in a few bands for the last couple decades. I’ve dealt with crazy drunk people running on stage and touching me. You don’t just stop the show. Let security or bouncers take care of the situation and move on. Hell, Dave Chappelle was literally attacked on stage and he kept going after the attacker was subdued. If someone of his fame and stature can do it, some no name actors can do it.

Disney is for kids. Not the adults who chaperone nor the adult pretenders. You don't punish the kids for the adult bs especially something as light as this.
My understanding is that Disney prioritizes the safety of its actors and employees - it kind of has to, being a gigantic amusement park positively brimming with potential OSHA violations. Since there are not regularly stationed security personnel strewn evenly throughout the park (and since part of Disneyland's business model is projecting the feeling that you're in one of their movies), the easiest and most reliable way of reducing accidents/incidents as a result of visitor/employee interactions is to end performances and remove actors from within the vicinity of potential problems immediately.
@@SinfulCadenceI'm not sure I interpret shoving someone as "pretending to be a Chewbacca." The only people Chewbacca shoves in the movies are bad people he wants to hurt. Actually what she did was correct and professional. They have to check Chewie to make sure the outfit wasn’t tampered or made into a biohazard with blood, other fluids or chemicals. C'mon man, this is street theater. Rain, or shine, the show must go on. What the woman did was out of line, but pretty clearly a form of a "heckle". She looks more like she's poking a dog with a stick than trying to attack anyone. If you look at it from that standpoint, these actors were doing a fantastic job, because this woman clearly forgot that they were just people in costumes. The guy in the Chewbacca costume wasn't hurt, and as you point out yourself the woman was almost certainly admonished by the security team. To note, you are not allowed to touch the actors while they are on performance unless permitted due to potential safety violation. The employer (Disney) could get sued big time if anyone gets injured. This is actually the same with stage play in theaters because of workplace safety due to stuff like the props and costumes used by the actors. The performers were right to cancel the show.

Although I definitely don't condone the lady's behavior I think it's sad that the two people in costume couldn't overlook it... Nice to see that none of them cared about the fact that Disney world is for the kids.. what she did was nowhere near good enough a reason for them to punish children... Frankly I think all three adults involved need to grow up
If it was a Disney protocol for them to leave after getting harassed, even if it ruined it to some degree for the kids I absolutely see the reasoning, she messed with the actor that had limited vision and probably one of the hardest costumes to wear, weight wise and the heat, safety wise I can’t blame them.

What makes you think security don’t trespass her for this?
No.
@user-ub3fw7wb2wDisney personell don't play around. They kick you out
No, its a teaching moment, ones Bad action affect others.
That's terrible! I can't imagine adults behaving so ridiculous.

I highly doubt there is a protocol that makes you cancel the show because an elderly woman pretended to be a Chewbacca and playing with a mascot.
“Because you did that, you ruined it for all these children. It’s your fault”. She had the power to keep going and literally just radio to security to have that lady escorted out. Instead she made a spectacle of it to prove her superiority.
Once a Bully, always a Bully
I hope they also kicked out and banned the lady with no refund.
I wouldn't kick her with your foot.
She's clearly a Chewie groupie & that means she has space lice
Because she tried to scare him? Lmao these actors over reacted and do t know how to play along
@@user-mt6ye7qt8d if you were in kindergarten you would keep your hands to yourself? That's a person dressed as a mascot not your play toy to push and shove for no reason.
It wasn't a "scare" you don't put your hands on people for no reason period.
@@theashologist okay karen
Why is she acting like a child that hasn't a clue about etiquette and manners? Because people have grown accustomed to no consequences and it needs to change, you give an inch and people inevitably take a mile cause they are entitled and you should accommodate them.
Soooo blame the kids at a event for kids. Sorry but the actors didn't behave any better.
She wanted Luke Han and Leia not Rey, that lady is a hero
It's not wise to upset a wookiee.
There was one time when i was walking drinking my soda "bomb" and Rey appeared behind me. She was so sweet and said "gotta be careful with that". I almost spat my drink. Sure the sequel aren't the best. But the Disney World/Land cast are always the sweetest.
true. i lways find child trafficking cults to be sweet as well.
I mean yea she was annoying but come on… you gonna make the kids suffer? Thats fucked and shows you cant handle little things that happen around you
The chick who thinks she’s Rey actually thinks she’s some important “star” 😂
So you are ok with what the Karen did?
She does not think she's a star. I don't know if you're aware of how Disneyland works, but that actress is in fact paid to play a character, and part of playing that character means...playing that character. So you can hate her for acting like Rey, sure, but you can't hate her for doing her job.
Ignorance is really strong with this one.
I wouldn't doubt it is protocol to just leave when stuff like this happens. It's a lot easier and better for the parks image than causing a scene where security forces the heckler out of the park. And I bet "Rey" was just angry because now they have to leave and let down the children.
Why stop the show - the kids didn’t do anything wrong - the crazy lady should have been removed from the park
She ruined the illusion, plus everyone must have been spooked. Kinda like the aftermath of the will smith slap. You cant just act it never happen or it'll ruin your enjoyment since you'll feel sick/uncomfortable
@@viviangarcia5696It was almost unnoticeable.
@@viviangarcia5696 spooked? geez ive seen crazier things walking into Walmart on any giving day.
@@Orion1019SL walmart's experiences varies, depending on region or location. Seems like yours is pretty active
they let this one thing go, parents gonna feel like they can do anything they want. gotta put your foot down
Disneyland is Walmart on steroids.
Damn this needs more likes😂
You got it in reverse. Walmart and their chains are actually bigger and more influential than Disney or any of their assets. In fact Walmart as a company alone makes up 2.4% of the entire US annual GDP at well over $500 billion dollars. Not Disney nor most other company is even close to that figure.
True
worse Disney is now China!
I mean i feel like that was blown out of proportion though? She lightly grazed Chewy lmaooo… typical actors……
I hope the crowd "got that woman back"!!😡
Typical Rey behavior 😂
Who is Rey? Thanks
These Disney employees would use any excuse to take a break.
She's a terrible person! However, the actor overreacted and made the kids pay for it, Weakness!
I can’t hear a word Rey said
She said unfortunately there’s a evil force near by we need to attend to it to make it safe for you young ones to be at…
@@thetravellingsteampunkkitt5710 Much appreciated. I was wondering too, lol.
We unfortunately have to stop due to Karen the Sith Lord’s evil spirit unwanted interference with our training
I couldn’t understand what Rey was saying in the last trilogy!!! 😅😂
Im with the cast. The person in the costume will feel out of character after this. It is bullying and an assault. They should take a moment to step back and adjust. It will show the kids that theres a punishment when you act up and show how this adult is an example that adults can be punish too. And parents should be able to explain why this happened.
I’m sure Disney is all about teaching children consequences for their actions instead of fun and inclusion.
THIS comment exemplifies the 🌎 problem today. THAT was bullying and an "assault"? Was it also an "Insurrection "? Sure nuff..
She barely touched him... This is why nobody likes Disney anymore first they try to confuse kids and no they are "Oh my God they put a finger on me what a world what a world " lmao this is why other countries are laughing at us. Stop being soft. Yes, the lady shouldn't have touched the guy but crying and making a big deal over it is dramatic beyond belief.
They arent your clowns dude. Theyre basically brand ambassadors and part of staying in character is not getting the back of your head pushed from behind while youre doing a show. Legally it is assault but who cares? You seriously on this crazy lady's side here?
What is wrong with these liberals?
Typical pathetic disney. Punish everyone else for the actions of a single individual... id say im suprised but im not this is disney all over. They really need to start hiring ppl who care about their jobs rather then people who look for ANY excuse not to do their jobs. The rando women was wrong to do what she did but by buckling under such mild pressure it really shows just what kind of people these "Actors" are. Its time for disney to just end.
What we saw here is the Disney Cast Members reacting how they are trained. Any physical harassment they go to the backlot, this is for their safety. The only person at fault was the ijiot acting out for a 'insta' moment.
Thx for explaining that, I didn’t understand why they couldn’t just continue
I would be like: "THANKS ALOT, KAREN. RUINED THE INNOCENT KIDS SHOW --- AND FOR WHAT THE HECK FOR?!?!"
good one.
This is trash. She obviously just tried to scare Chewbacca, unfortunately it worked so well he peed himself. I would fire both the workers. they were the only ones being selfish.
@@jeodoretoel thanks
@@nitrocell9287 I guarantee you, whatever the cast members did in this situation IS the protocol that was required of them in the situation. Disney is very strict about cast member behaviour and how they respond to any occurence.
All you've managed to express is how terrible it would be to work for you.
@@nitrocell9287 workers? They were cheering the kids up in the show performance But thank to this woman over there they just had to cancel it because of her
Wait... Am I being manipulated to care? It's very obvious to me that the Kids suffered more due to the Sensitivity from th actors than the reckless adult.
They could have easily removed the Woman, now the kids are there suffering the Consequences from the actions of someone else.
Two Wrongs don't make a Right.
Those kids basically suffered due to the lack of Critical Thinking from all th Adults involved.
The only time you punish anyone who doesn't do anything wrong is to Condition them.
People on this thread are morally bankrupt. They keep talking like the actors should be groveling for the "privilege" to work at Disney Land.
Regardless of whether or not they enjoy their job, it's very hard and physically exhausting work that exposes workers to a lot of bullshit. They deserve a livable wage and to have their safety prioritized.
Do some basic research before you guys post ignorant comments.
Two Karens dont make a right.
Right!! Granted granny should of kept her hands to herself it does seem innocent to me
But for the other 1 y would she do that to them kids
Best !!!😂
You're right it was a Karen v Karen situation
@@stevejjon2010 How is she another Karen if she carries out the correct policy?
Lmao! Good one haha 😄 😆
Doing something like this in front of a non disney company would have gone differently.
Anyone else would have played into it.
The only person at fault here was the fully grown adult Karen that had to ruin it for everyone else.
This being Bob Iger's Disney though, they probably offered her a job working under KK helping to ruin anything Star Wars
She forgot, always let the Wookie win
Cancelling was way worse than what that woman did
