1:10 the O button is to check for module damage. It's actually beneficial to have it in the non-swept wing position, as it's easier to see what and what isn't damaged.
Oh I wish that was only for convenience sake, but it's not. The actual hitbox is that of the unswept version. Even if visually it's folded, the hitbox stays static. WT apparently can't do dynamic hitboxes of this kind. It's similar on ground vehicles that fold weapon systems or radars away, the hitbox stays in the unfolded position. For the MiG-27, in this case, it means it's a bit easier to hit in deflection shots because of the wider target. At least, I don't think this issue has been fixed yet. Feel free to correct me.
@@Wotplaya4 I was pretty sure I swept my wings in to do some silly bridge thing in a custom battle, and I made it through, it didn't look like I would have made it through if I had my wings fully swept back. then again I also crashed in another similar bridge maneuver with fully swept wings, idk if it was the wings that killed me though.
Unfortunately f-14 arter first dev server have been nerfed into oblivion, but it still can be "subject to change" however I doubt it, phoenixes have been castrated, and f-14 radar loses locks on it like a person with Alzheimer loses memory, soon after release of next update I won't be even surprised that migs-27 and 23 will out turn the f-14, I understand that it's the earliest version of f-14 and it didn't had the best engines yet, however it wasn't so bad either, and now at the latest iteration of dev server f-14 is very subpar plane, taking aim-54 is worthless cause it's performing super poor, only reasonable choice would be aim-7f sparrow's, would be if they gonna fix the radar, however I doubt they will, cause like always they require loads of manuals and documentation for US made machines, and alot of tomcat documents are still clasfied 🤡 In my opinion grinding for Tomcat if it will come out as it is right now is not worth it. I would rather want f-111 cuz I play ground rb mostly, but it's too advanced plane 🤡

@@ye3505 you can do it right after landing if you have no damage, but if you are damaged when you do it before repairing it will give the player who damaged you a kill and you cant respawn

Can you do a video showing your keybinds I'm getting overwhelmed by all these new keybinds I need after unlocking top jets like swept wings and radar stuff and missiles and thrust vectors
First of all try to get a keyboard with a numeric pad and a mouse with multiple "buttons" Swept wings: leave them in automatic mode you don't really need to move them unless you seriously know what you're doing Thrust vectors: just use whatever they don't have much use besides 4 planes and even then you will barely use them. Missiles: for missiles use a combination of keys for locking and shooting, something easy to reach like LMB + shift or LMB+ scroll wheel or a macro For radar I would suggest a macro again or a combination of keys easy to reach
@@AlexVanChezlaw yeah I have 3 extra buttons on my mouse I use for, air breaks, missiles and cannons but then stuff like atgms confuse me because I'm running out of keys even countermeasures there is so many extra keys that are unbound by default that I'm getting overwhelmed and there is no settings video on CZcams that actually talks about any of these options I'll try that auto swept wings option I didn't realise you could I just searched on google and used someone's setting from reddit
those fighters at the end though. they were like brain dead or something. normally when i fly F5E i try to contain them at their airfield so that when they takeoff i will be faster. Normally planes like to surprise attack you when you are flying F5E because you are slower.

The SU-17 was divine before the airspawn nerf, if you missed that you really missed out.

The weriable sweep wings are a real game changer, letting you be both fast and manuverable at low speeds
The MIG-27's cannon (30 mm GSh-6-30 cannon) has a better performance than the A10's (30 mm GAU-8/A cannon)
The only problem with it was that it had a risk of disentagrating the MiG-27 every time it was fired

pro tip for airfield campers. turn off ur engine so they cant IR lock u, its the same key as turning your engine off in a tank.
