    Never sprayed but I've used BM advance for trim and wainscotting in a previous home. Used zinzer 123 primer after scuff sanding (two coats to be sure... lol!) on IKEA cabinets, two coats of ROLLED BM Advance Hale Navy to match my kitchen cabinets with light sanding between. Waited to attach the doors until they were completely cured and they look like a pro job with no streaks and rock hard finish! Added a quartz countertop to match the kitchen and no one will ever know the builder or a cabinet maker didn't install them! We're working on accent walls now in White Dove and the finish again is amazing! The absolute necessity is to wait between coats and lightly sand and wipe clean. After this we're working on some other accent walls and a home office with cabinets and of course it will be BM Advance. LOTS of time involved and the paint is $$$ and never on sale but worth it.

      Just got through your comment. Looks like you have hands on using BM paint. Is there a chance for me to ask you few questions in privet? Thanks in advance.

    I've had very good results spraying BM Advance on an HVLP with a 2.0mm tip thinned at 10 percent. The best thing about advance is how hard it cures after 30 or so days. Great job.

    Beginner here. It was nice to see that you didnt have to filter the paint nor water it down. Is that because of the sprayer you are using or because of the quality of the paint?

    • @BorninaBarnBoutique
      @BorninaBarnBoutique  Před měsícem

      @@valeskaparker870 I should have filtered (I normally do) but sometimes when filming I forget. As for watering it down - that is going to depend on the product viscosity and the sprayer too - this was pretty thin and not needed

    • @BorninaBarnBoutique
      @BorninaBarnBoutique  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes it’s a good quality paint and finish. Cures rock hard in 30 days

    • @25258721
      @25258721 Před 10 měsíci

      I have used on several cabinet jobs. It is a great product, but be sure and stick to dry times. 16 hour re-coat. Reaches full cure in around 30 days. I tell my customers to be easy around the door pulls, etc. Really does cure extremely hard. It's a waterborne alkyd.

      Used the Advance for the kitchen cabinets and being retired the roller and paint brush worked crazy well. Very important to allow for the cure time and nothin but “ Wow Compliments “ from friends.

    Hi, great video. May I ask what base you used? I want to use a dark green for my island, and wondered what base you used? Secondly, did you have to thin out the paint or dilute it when you used your sprayer? I notice some people say to dilute or thin prior to using sprayer because it’s thick, Just wondered if you thinned it out. I love your piece, great job

    • @BorninaBarnBoutique
      @BorninaBarnBoutique  Před měsícem

      I didn’t use a base - if you mean a primer/base. I didn’t use one on this job - not all jobs require a primer - if cleaned well and scuff sanded (prime when concerned about bleed through or adhesion) I always thin my paint and each product will vary as to how much as well as the equipment your using - I suggest getting a viscosity cup and referring to your sprayer manual for timing. This paint is not particularly thick (that will also vary depending on color - some pigments in colors will make the paint thinner or thicker). Thank you so much 😀

    Question for you please .. Ive been using Fusion on my dining table and chairs.
    I know I don't have to but I'd like to top coat.
    My question...
    am I best to use a oil based top coat or a water based one. Being a high traffic dining table.
    Thank you in advance

    • @BorninaBarnBoutique
      @BorninaBarnBoutique  Před 10 měsíci +1

      So oil based will be a little more durable but I don’t recommend it over painted surfaces as it will definitely yellow or amber your paint color for sure. I would use a water based - I prefer Lilly moon stellar shield (non yellowing very durable) or general finishes high performance top coat

      Excellent this product is extremely durable I would rate this high for durability right along sherwin Williams emerald urethane - but definitely go with advance line in BM - big quality difference between that and their regular line
